Best Educational track for internet marketing
-
My son has a degree in Marine Bio. Has developed a keen interest in SEO and internet marketing.
He wants to make a career change.
He does not want to go back for a 4 year degree in computer science.
Are there graduate programs/degrees that will admit someone with a biological science degree?
He wants to have a career in Internet marketing.

This stuff moves so fast, he will be wasting his time. The general things may stay the same for a year or so, but not long enough for the average program. The best thing for him is likely to apply what he knows to existing businesses and read up on what you should and shouldn't do.
As EGOL said, you can learn a lot here for free. I've been involved in internet marketing for a little over four years. I'm crazy and I put in 30 hours by Tuesday all the time. I've learned a lot in a short period of time.
It's really a matter of how dedicated he is to internet marketing and how he is going to help those in marine biology. If he think's it's easy mode, he will fail in a short amount of time. If he's genuinely interested, he has an advantage over half of internet marketers.

A person with a four year degree in anything and good grades will be able to apply their general education credits to any other degree at most universities in the United States. Picking up a second bachelors might take two years.
There are a few Master's and MBA degrees in internet marketing. The question might be, do you need start school now or even get a degree? Each degree program is different. Some have undergraduate courses that are prerequisites but you might not need a relevant undergraduate degree. The prerequisites, if any, can often be taken before or while you are competing graduate courses. More information is posted on the program websites.
If you live in or near a major city he might be able to land a job with a local company and enroll in school part time. That will get him experience that will make the education relevant and education that will increase his competence at work.
If he has a keen interest in this, he should be in here reading, watching webinars and asking questions. You can learn alot here for free.

What is the best way to become a published writer / blogger for bigger industry sites?
I'm a younger SEO manager and wanted to started establishing my name throughout the industry through well written blogs, expert articles, and any advice that is needed. I know a lot of answers will be to start my own blog and establish that and I'll get noticed, but is there a good way to make the first contact with industry sites to get an article or blog post published to their site? Or is it a pretty tight "gotta know someone" inner circle?

Pre-launch market/industry research
I am getting ready to start a web based marketing firm, with a strong focus on local search and b2b organic search engine optimization. However, I want to pick a specific b2b market to focus on when the site goes live. How do I go about conducting this market research when i do not have any visitors to my site yet. My goal is to spot a market/industry that has a gap where my service will be in demand? All of the popular guides and blogs focus on market research that takes place after you launch your website or after you already have an audience to analyze. Any advice or suggestions on conducting market/industry research without having a audience yet would be greatly appreciated!

So, Google is the best site on the internet.. Right? Or is that just what most people tend to think off-face?
LOL woah, put the guns away. I'm not about to rant, I just have a question and wanted to present it well. Then again, I might have actually found some easy fixes to some of Google's tools that they could make. So here's the thing. I noticed how annoyed I always getting when I have to sign in every time I go to the adwords keyword tool, or analytics. Why do you have to sign in a million times? I think it is a problem that can be fixed because if you go to check your webmaster tools, you go straight into your account, where you can then select which site you want to explore. It knows that I am already signed in to Google Accounts when I go to webmaster tools, but it doesn't recognize that fact when I go to my Analytics account, or to use the Adwords Keyword Tool. Now, every site has things that they need to work on, but not necessarily that need to be 'fixed'. Google being so commonly accepted as the best site on the net, I thought it was funny/interesting at the least to point out the problem. Even funnier is the fact that I could submit it as a problem to see if they could fix it or not, but they do such a good job of making it hard for people to contact them, that A) I don't feel like wasting my time trying B) I don't even really know if it is possible to do that. Also, why is there no official Google Analytics App / Mobile site?? Google has been pushing how important mobile is to us webmasters, but then it doesn't seem to be very high on their priority list for the tools that we use. I mean you can't view graphs on phones / tablets (mine at least), in webmaster tools, OR google analytics. Also, its a pain in the but to click the sign in button on Google Analytics when using my phone / tablet, it disapears really fast for me (needs more research from others to see if everyone has the same problem) Thanks for the interest / answers everybody. Look forward to hearing from you guys. Also, tips and help would be nice if anybody knows a solution to my sign in issue
