Anyone know of any forums for agencies or those individuals engaged in Internet Marketing, SEO, Integrated Marketing, etc.?
-
Moz.com is the best forum I have been a part of. There is a local forum I really like but spend less time on (we have staff who live on it.) I am interested in a forum where everyone is agency related. Does anyone know of a good one? If not, would anyone have an interest?

That was supposed to have been "great question". Wonder how that happened!
I find the Moz interface doesn't play well with my iPad. Course my brain and fingers might not have been coordinating well after midnight either.
Your idea is an excellent one. Especially if it embraces the TAGFEE or a similar code that facilitates and encourages openness and sharing.

I have to say I laughed when I saw the typo. I appreciate your wanting to find one as well and I will PM all as I go forward. So far, there are none I can identify so maybe we will endeavor to start one.
Thanks

Please share if you identify any good ones. I know I'm interested and expect others would be as well. Brest question!

Thanks Who Wudda Thunk
I agree Webmasterworld is a great forum, it is open to all so is not strictly an agency related forum. I was wanting to do something or find something along the lines of a Vistage but online. I was a Vistage/TEC member for several years and then a member of another CEO forum. Both were very helpful in that you are talking with other business owners and learning from them. Along with that you are teaching them things you know. Home builders have an organization where builders from different cities are in a group (so they are not competing with one another in the same market) and share information, assistance that I have seen be very beneficial to their members. I would love to find something like that for agencies.

Internet Marketing Ninjas have bought a few forums in the past years, and kept them going. Webmasterworld.com is the most prevalent of these. That was the forum that lead to the creation of Pubcon.

Thanks PrestaShop
I have been a member in business organizations where there was a monthly fee and it does seem to weed out the less committed. I will PM you and any others who have an interest and maybe we can get something going.

I personally think there is a lack of them and would be interested. I do not know if you are familiar with ecommerce fuel, but they have a forum where everyone is screened and pays $25 a month to be a member. I would be interested in something like that, because it keeps the knowledge level high in my opinion.

Hi, I wouldn't normally post a request for freelancers here, but I noticed someone else has done it and its not against the rules! so here goes... We are looking for Freelancers to help with our work load. In particular we are searching for Link Builders who can establish links on various websites through the use of article writing/blog content posting and other methods. Ideally we only want UK based, white hatters with at least 2 years SEO experience. Please pm me if this interests you. Thanks Aran

Anyone drawn a Google Penguin?
Just a bit of light relief in the world of SEO. Hey SEO people are funny and can laugh as well 🙂 Our SEO team has had a go at drawing some penguins and the results are funny to us as they are so childlike. Anyone else fancy adding their drawing to the flicker group. This is just a bit of fun for us all! http://www.flickr.com/groups/googlepenguincartoons/

How to Educate my Company About SEO
Hey Mozzers, I'm currently faced with a situation that I believe is probably quite common in the SEO industry. I'd like to get the input of the SEOMoz community to see how others have handled this situation and how I can use that to help my company and of course myself in this process 🙂 Here's the dealio. I recently obtained a position at a fairly large company ($500 million annually) with the task of being our Lead SEO, which I am loving, but am finding one thing to be a big hurdle to our success. Essentially no one here has any pre-existing knowledge about what SEO and inbound marketing are. There are a few younger folks who understand some of it, and a few of those who I work with on a daily basis are starting to get it, but I fear that many of the folks on our webteam and even higher up do not understand the value of SEO, the implications of certain things the webteam does to our website, and moreso the value of me being here as the sole SEO expert. I'm wondering if anyone else out there has been in a similar situation and how I might be able to effectively instill a culture of SEO within my company to get people to think about SEO before they do things. My first goal is to ensure people think about SEO before making changes to our site. My second goal is for them to see the power of proper SEO, thus proving how valuable I am to the company. Thoughts anyone?

I'm looking for solid internet usage / traffic data.
Hi there, In a week or two I'll give my first internet marketing presentation to a local business club. Ill walk them through the basics of what is happening online, and how both B2B and B2C business can use their online assets as marketing tools. I want some basic statistical data to back up my story, like: Current web usage distribution (social/search/media etc) Growth of Mobile vs Desktop Search Engines distribution (google bing yahoo msn) Online retail numbers To top it all off, I would also like to be able to show both worldwide and The Netherlands data. What is my best bet for some serious datamining ;)? Thanks in advance for helping me out!
