Starting blog need feedback needed

Hi
I am planing to start two blog about the same product. One blog will be about reviews and other product related information which will be from well known authors or organizations etc. On second blog, i will be adding detail information about the same product and specification of that.
I am just wondering if you guys have any suggestion for me.
-
Are these "Blogs" going to be under the same TLD? I would suggest doing one property that focuses on everything about the product: reviews, information, application stories, etc. that way you can create one giant ball of authority on everything that has to do with that product. - If tracking in google analytic there are ways to split out and see what type of content is contributing the most to the bottom line.
-
Off course they will be linked with each other, however i am thinking to split them in order to do see the user flow. I mean which one is getting more visitor trust is just information or product itself. But still open for suggestion. So i can make one good one.

Why will it be two blogs if it's all about the same product? It may be worth looking at just one blog but tagging topics so people can find what they are after quickly

Simple Blog Content Question
Which is better? To write my own blog post or, (with permission) use other high DA content on my blog. I'll probably do both, but I'm very curious as to what the search engines prefer or which is better for seo. Thanks in advance!

What's a good way to find recent blog posts about a given topic?
Let's say I want to find blog posts posted in the past week or so about "key west". These posts could be on a personal blog, travel blog, etc. Google News is mostly news sites (not blogs) and Google blog search doesn't work any more. What other good options are there? So far Open site Explorer Just Discovered is the best option I've found, but there is a lot of other stuff mixed in with a few blog posts.

Global Blogs vs Regionalised blogs
Im in the process of launching a blog. The blog will be for global audience. If I wanted to target a more specific region in the future example UK would it be advisable to launch a separate blog for the UK market or how could I regionalise the posts if I kept blogging on the Global blog.

Locating Guest Blogging Niches
Hey Folks, Does anybody have advice on tools I could use to locate blogs on specific topics? My plan is to approach the webmasters and offer guest blogging services. I know I could just do a google search for something like "KEYWORD blogs" but I thought I'd see if there is anything more sophisticated out there. Thanks, Rich

Blog on a separate domain
We want to set up a blog to discuss our industry. Is it better to set-up the blog on a domain that we buy and then link to it from our website or set-up a blog on a posterous account or something with a link?
