Should I leave the updating to Moz Local (App) or do it myself?
-
Hello.
I am using the Moz Local service to submit my site to directories. There seems to be a bit of conflicting information/Instructions. Do I just sit back and let Moz continue with providing updates to the sites, or do I have to manually go in to each of the partner sites to make sure that they are all updated correctly?
I seem to remember reading one instruction telling me to let Moz do it, and another saying that I should be doing it.
There are missing categories on some of the sites, which I am being told to make sure are correct, whilst the Moz Local site is saying 'Update in progress'.
I am a bit confused :0)

My Google+ graph is on 100% incomplete, even though my Google+ local business page is up and running and has been verified by Google. How do I kick-start this so that it reflects the real score?

So for the UK Moz Local product, I should just leave Moz to deal with everything in the graph/chart, except Google, Facebook and Yelp, even if there are inconsistencies and missing items?

Hi There,
The Moz Local tool helps to make listing data for a physical business consistent across multiple directories. This tool specifically targets the name, address, phone number, and website for a physical business because consistent data for those things helps sites to rank better in organic searches. The tool also creates listings with our partner directories if a listing for the business doesn't already exist, which helps to make the business more visible. This is all done automatically so it will all be done on this end.
Basically, with Moz Local, it all starts with an existing Google+ Places or Facebook Local page that matches the business name, address, and phone number you are hoping to find in our check listing tool or when you're bulk uploading listing via the CSV upload. If you're not seeing an exact matching business NAP, you may need to make some adjustments on the existing Google+ or Facebook pages to ensure the business NAP matches and to make sure they show up as local business pages.
Once you purchase your listing we publish your listing data to all of our partners for processing—which takes anywhere from a couple of minutes to eight weeks to update.
Here are our partners:
Infogroup
Acxiom
Neustar/Localeze
Factual
Foursquare
Superpages
Best of the Web
Citysearch
Insider Pages
BingAnyone outside of our partners you may need to update manually so that may be creating some of the confusion. Hopefully this helps clear everything up but if you have any questions for me please let me know
Have an awesome day and I look forward to speaking with you!

Suspended Google my Business listing - Moz local created a new one - best way forward?
I had a suspended Google my Business listing and Moz local automatically created a new one because I had synced GMB with Moz and selected the option to push data there from Moz Local. The new GMB listing is verified and I dont know why the previous one was suspended. What's the best way forward? Should Ijust delete the suspended listing and edit this new one, or I should still submit the reinstatement request for the suspended one? Many thanks

Moz Local - City being named twice
Hello, So the provided address by Moz is being pulled from Google. It's listing the city twice, even though Google Plus isn't doing this. Meaning there's a few inconsistent listings for the address. Any ideas how to change the address that Moz is using? Thanks 🙂 fDmsIos

What are the listings (citations) when you use Moz Local?
How do I find what the actual listings are when using Moz Local? I want to add more citations for my clients and don't want to create duplicates. _There are five main aggregators of location data that send information to local search engines: Infogroup, Neustar Localeze, Acxiom, and Factual and Foursquare. Is the info we are giving in Moz Local_* In the Dashboard...it show that "35 listings reach". but what are the actual listings? Do I need to use Whitespark to see what the actual listings are? Currently right now, I can only see like 18 listings. Any insight? Regards, Benny

New Company with Google+ but not in directories. Does Moz add those even though they show no listing status?
I am submitting a new company. I created a Google+ account that's been verified. Once it's on Moz local, will it be added to these directories even though it's not showing up that the business exists?

Is the Google Local Descriptor compatible with MOZ Local?
If I'm understanding Google correctly, we can use a single descriptor as part of a business name, and to do so, you use the following format in the business name field: Business Name - Descriptor Is this correct? If so, is it not compatible with MOZ Local? I used the format above, and MOZ seems to see the descriptor as part of the business name, and won't let me verify. Is the best approach to using a descriptor to get verified first, then add it? Or will that mess other things up?

Moz Local - Needed for good measure?
Hello, Before Moz Local was released, I had worked with a 3rd party vendor and established citations throughout several, several domains. There may had been some directories, such as the databases, that we were unsuccessful at because we're 70 locations and they wanted to charge high fees for bulk. We also were unsuccessful with Yahoo, Yellow Pages and Citysearch (for various reasons that are too complex to get into here). 1. Would it be beneficial to also use Moz Local for good measure and to cover some, if not all, domains we had difficulties with? 2. Would that be duplicating our efforts and/or cause duplicate listings? 3. Can we cherry-pick which domains we want? Thanks.

Google+ & Yelp Listings not recognized by Moz Local
I've been attempting to get a client's local listings all cleaned up using Moz Local. When I first did a scan, the Yelp listing was there but with an incorrect address. I uploaded all the data via CVS file successfully about a month ago. I logged into the claimed Yelp profile as the owner and made my adjustments. Now, the Moz Local tool says there is no Yelp listing and it's also reporting that there is no G+ page. Can anyone explain? Thanks!

Can Moz local correct listings with incorrect addresses/phone numbers that have no FB or G+ listing?
We just started using Moz Local for a law office client. The csv has the client's correct information. However, our client has listings out there with a completely incorrect address/city and alternate phone number. There wouldn't be a valid FB or G+ listing for this incorrect address to use for validation. Is there any way Moz Local can find these and correct them by matching name or website alone? The incorrect ones are not showing up in the list of duplicates.
