My target keyword is "moringa powder" but my product title is "moringa ultimate original powder". Is this a problem?
-
The focus keyword is "moringa powder".
The product title and default H1 tag is "moringa ultimate original powder".
The url also has "moringa ultimate original powder".
Yoast is saying the keyword does not appear in the url or any subheadings. So should I change the product title and url to Original Ultimate moringa powder or is having them separated ok?

Thank you as well, Eric!

Even though Yoast is saying the keyword does not appear in the url or any subheadings, the page still has a good chance to rank well. As long as you use it in the page copy, you should be fine. Concentrate on the internal links to that page (for example, use "moringa powder" in links that point to the page.
Also, you'll most likely need links from other sites to that page with that anchor text "moringa powder". It's also good to mix up those anchor text links from other sites, such as using "ultimet moringa powder" and "moringa ultimate original powder" so it's more "natural".

As much as I love the Yoast SEO plugin, I find that it oversimplifies on-page optimization with its SEO score. Getting a green light for your focus keyword will not automatically catapult your page to the #1 spot in Google search results. In fact, it can sometimes lead to over-optimization because you've focused all of your efforts on one keyword just to get the green light from Yoast.
It's fine to have "moringa" and "powder" separated in some places, especially since you have "moringa powder" together in the page title and several times elsewhere on the page. You also have lots of good content on the page. I would spend more time optimizing for long-tail keywords and earning good, quality backlinks.

Should URL contain primary keyword or primary + extended keyword?
Hi All, This is a query regarding what keyword should be placed in URL. Below is the scenario. I have marketplace website where I can service providers with users. I have a page with a list of Dance providers and want to rank it for Dance Classes, Dance Coaching Classes keywords. Since these keywords represent same business purpose for us, should I keep the URL as www.abc.com/dance-classes or www.abc.com/dance-coaching-classes? What is SEO best practice in this scenario? Kindly suggest.

Bad to have "As Seen on" links sitewide
I've seen a lot of people saying that sidewide external links are a no-go. Does this also apply to links of a vanity variety? What I mean by this is "as seen on" links or links to awards given to the business? This intellectually seems okay to me, but I want to make sure I'm not shooting myself in the foot. Any evidence, case studies, anecdotal stories would be appreciated!

Can a country level domain perform well in international SEO if all the targeted keywords are related to that country domain?
Hi fellow Mozers, I am doing international SEO on Google US, UK, UAE and Saudi Arabia. All my targeted keywords have my country name in it, for example, export companies in France, best import companies in France and so on. Finally, my website has a country level domain i.e. www.xyz.co.fr _Hence, my questions are: _ 1. Is it good have a country level domain in this case or should I go TLDs? 2. Should my Google Plus page be a local business page or company page from SEO perspective? I have more than 10000 users who have +1 my website. _Thanks in advance. _

Spammy link for each keyword
Some people believe that having a link for each keyword and a page of content for each keyword (300+ words) can help ranking for those keywords. However, the old approach of having "restaurant New York", "restaurant Buffalo", "restaurant Newark" approach has become seen as a terrible SEO practice. I don't know whether this was because it's spammy or because people usually combined it with thin content that was 95% duplicate. Which brings us to; http://hungryhouse.co.uk/ Why does such a major company have the following on the site (see the footer); Aberdeen Takeaway Birmingham Takeaway Brighton Takeaway Bristol Takeaway Cambridge Takeaway Canterbury Takeaway Cardiff Takeaway Coventry Takeaway Edinburgh Takeaway Glasgow Takeaway Leeds Takeaway Leicester Takeaway Liverpool Takeaway London Takeaway Manchester Takeaway Newcastle Takeaway Nottingham Takeaway Sheffield Takeaway Southampton Takeaway York Takeaway Indian Takeaway Chinese Takeaway Thai Takeaway Italian Takeaway Cantonese Takeaway Pizza Delivery Sushi Takeaway Kebab Takeaway Fish and Chips Sandwiches Do they know something I don't? Does page "depth" matter
Would it have a negative effect on SEO to have a link from the home page to this page... http://www.website/com/page1deep/page2deep rather than to this page http://www.website/com/page1deep I'm hoping that made some sense. If not I'll try to clarify. Thanks, Mark
