NoFollow links to increase TLD?
-
If you have a good amount of links, but your TLD is low, and you got say 100 more links from 100 seperate domains, but most were NoFollow, would that still help alot since you are increasing your overall TLD?
I guess what I am asking is, should we not ignore nofollow links because they still can increase TLD? Thus, making our good dofollow links worth even more?

Hi Daniel!
Nofollow links are often used for comments in blog posts, to minimize the amount of "spam-comments-to-get-links".
But sometimes you can get a recommendation or an award for something, maybe you have a cooperation with someone, then the nofollow link might come from a high quality site. These types of links will give positive signals to Google and in a long term affect ranking, even if the link has nofollow.
Do a good job and recieve recommendations, make contacts and you will get valuable links.

Reciprocal links now cancel out any benefit say Google. But what about if one of them is nofollow?
As a web agency we have some of our client sites linking back to us from their footer to show who built the site as is common practice in our industry. This seems to work fine for us generating both referral traffic and we think some help with rankings. Google recently said that reciprocal links do cancel each other out of any benefit which gives us a dilemma for when we want to link to a website as a case study on our own website. Normally we use nofollow on the link but is that enough? I'd rather have the inbound link benefit than provide a link to the website!

Are 36 links from one site to nested pages better than one link to the root domain?

should I create 36 individual links to each area page? - which is most valuable?0
