Unsolved Inbound Links Sudden Decline
-
Hi,
There is a question of my site that the number of linking domains has experienced a sudden decline - lost inbound links for around 100k in several days.
We are wondering the reason of this sudden decline, is it a common fluctation or is there some problems in our site? Thanks for your answers in advance! -

Hi,Experiencing a sudden decline in the number of linking domains can be concerning, and it's essential to investigate the possible reasons behind this decline. Here are some potential factors to consider:
Algorithm Updates: Search engines like Google regularly update their algorithms, which can impact your site's rankings and the number of linking domains. Check if there have been any recent major algorithm updates.Link Removal: Sometimes, website owners remove links to your site for various reasons. This could be due to broken links, content changes, or they may have decided to no longer endorse your content.
Penalties: If your site has violated search engine guidelines or received a penalty, this could result in a loss of linking domains. Review your site for any potential violations.
Expired Domains: If some of the linking domains were from expired or low-quality websites, they might no longer exist, leading to a drop in your link count.
Competitor Activity: Your competitors might have gained more links or engaged in negative SEO tactics to harm your backlink profile.
Technical Issues: Check your website for any technical issues that might be causing problems with tracking or displaying your backlinks.
Content Quality: Assess the quality and relevance of your site's content. High-quality content tends to attract more links naturally.
Manual Actions: Review your Google Search Console for any manual actions or messages from Google about your site.
To investigate further:
Backlink Analysis: Use tools like Ahrefs, Moz, or SEMrush to conduct a thorough analysis of your backlinks. Identify which specific domains have been lost and if they were of high or low quality.
Contact Webmasters: Reach out to webmasters of the sites that previously linked to yours and inquire about the reason for the removal of links. It's possible that it was unintentional or due to a technical issue.
Monitor Trends: Keep an eye on your backlink profile over time. Fluctuations can be normal, but consistent declines may indicate a problem.
Content and SEO Audit: Review your site's content quality, on-page SEO, and technical SEO. Ensure your site is compliant with search engine guidelines.Remember that fluctuations in backlinks can be common, but it's essential to monitor the situation and take appropriate action if necessary. Maintaining a high-quality website and regularly monitoring your backlink profile are key to a healthy SEO strategy.
Hope this helps in understanding and addressing the issue. If you have more specific information or questions, please feel free to share.

Is it worth buying an entry on Wikipedia-type sites?
Recently I've come across a few websites offering (for a fee) to research, write and publish an entry on the likes of Wikipedia, Citizendium or Wikitia - I thought this might be helpful when it comes to marketing and link building for a brand or individual. Purchasing guest blog posts is a standard way to obtain a high domain authority in-context backlink, but I wondered if purchasing an entry on one of these human edited encyclopedias would be as effective, better or not worth the money? It costs quite a bit more than guest posting and blog outreach, but on the other hand they are authoritative websites that also include backlinks. Any thoughts would be most welcome.

Unsolved Spam Score Blank - Looking For Feasible Solution
Hi,
Link Explorer | | Jane090987
There is a question in my website. When I'm searching the number of spam score of my site, it shows "--".
In the official article it shows that the reason of "--" happens is that our site has not been evaluated by Moz. But there aren't any ways of solutions, seems that we can only wait - not knowing how long - for being evaluated.
Is there any way that I can get my site evaluated by Moz, and the spam score of my website can be displayed as an exact number?
Thanks for answering in advance!0 -

My site links to my clients not showing in Moz
I've got a web design business with a site that's been out there for 17 years - www.biztoolsone.com. I've got links to my clients' sites in my portfolio page. The backlinks list for my clients, when I check them in Moz, don't show the links from this site. They always showed in the list until a few months ago. The site has a DA of 59 & PA (for home page) of 50. The spam score is 0/17. I'm having a tough time telling my clients that the Moz backlinks list is accurate when that site doesn't show in the list. The same is true for www.fayettevillenc.biz - this is one I created years ago to generate backlinks. It's got a spam score of 4/17, so I'm a little more understanding of that one. Thanks for any guidance!
