RE: Is Local Search Data Included in Google Search Console?
Hello,
I do not remember seeing anything marked as local in Google search console. I think it would be really great if it was though. I would just take a look at your Google Analytics and that should help you determine what part of your traffic is local.

RE: Tool to Check Bing Index?
Hi,
Part of the problem is that a lot of the available tools are geared more towards Google as it has the greatest market share. That being said all is not lost. Many different tools have modules that will help with tracking Bing as well as Google.
Here is a link to an article that reviews some available tools. I hope it helps.

RE: What Are The Pros and Cons of Writing About the Same Topic Several Times?
Hello,
People and Google love freshly updated content. For example, if you were writing about computers and the best gaming notebooks. If your last article was two years ago things could be completely different now. Now, this may not be pertinent for a person who writes blogs on food and cake recipes because things may not change much over time, but in other areas like technology, sports, or many other topics current content is critical.

RE: Does ID's in URL is good for SEO? Will SEO Submissions sites allow such urls submissions?
Hello,
I would keep numbers out of page titles if at all possible. The more it looks like computer code I think the worse it is. Try to keep page URL readable by humans and also convey a message about the content of the page.

RE: Local Ranking with No Physical Address in New Service Area - How to Rank?
Many people work from home and do not want to use their home address. I am sure we all know why. It is just not a good idea. It is their legal right to have a verifiable local mailing address in which they can send and receive mail. Another option is a local coworking space or execitive office space that offers mail and meeting space on an as needed basis.
The important thing is that it is a real address. You use it for real business and it can be verified.
Have a great 2018!

RE: Local Ranking with No Physical Address in New Service Area - How to Rank?
You need to get a mail box addres such as Mail Boxes Etc or the UPS store that gives you a physical street address. If you want to get into local that is your best and easiest option.
Make sure the address gets verified like any other address would, and never use a "Post Office" box. That will not give you the verifiable address as far as I know.
Hope this helps.

RE: Fresh backlinks vs old backlinks: A solid ranking factor?
Hello,
It is important to always keep developing new relevant content. The value of a particular link can be affected by many factors and the age of a link can be one of them.
Personally, I believe many links are considered more relevant after they have aged for a while. I have noticed that links that are 3 to 6 months old and are of high-quality pass more ranking value that brand new links. Also, the quality of the traffic you are getting through those links is an important factor.
As links start ageing and producing more and more traffic I really think they get more value from the search engines.

RE: Will Landing Page Design with Large Areas of White Background Enjoy a Higher Conversion Rate?
Hello,
I notice the top portion of the landing page uses a shadow mask to make the picture darker. This may be to keep the contrast high with the form and the other information. That way it sticks out a little better. The bottom portion is lighter and looks nice.
You could have two versions of the landing page. One darker and one lighter and run them evenly for a while to see which one converts best.

RE: Password Protected Page(s) Indexed
Hi,
I would "no follow" and "no index" those pages. You really don't want them showing up in the index anyway. They are not helping your seo. Later on when you want those pages to be active and indexed you could just change your tags and update your site maps.
Best Regards.

RE: Switching URLs after acquisition to retain domain authority?
Well, that seems more like a business strategy question than a technical one. You need to decide if you are still going to operate the companies separately or are going to merge one into the other. If you are going to operate under just one name and domain I would make a big marketing push to let everyone know that you are merging the companies into one and that this is our new business strategy and "Domain Name".
Then after some time has passed I would start redirecting all the content and traffic to the "NEW" site. with the standard 301 procedures. Making sure that everything you are keeping is redirected properly will help keep about 85% of the "Link Juice". There is always a little lost basically from how the algorithms work, but that is out of your control.

RE: Are we actually getting accurate data on keyword volumes from Moz (or other sources)?
I feel that the search volume shown in MOZ is generally low compared to other sources. I feel it is more accurate with search terms that have a lot of volume, but in search terms that are under 1000 searches a month, I start to have a lot of problems with the data. Many times there is no search volume data at all for lower volume keywords which get just a few hundred searches per month or less.
Problems with the volume data effect almost everything else in Moz so I hope MOZ sees this and tries very hard to correct these issues.

RE: Non Published Wordpress Pages
Hello, in WordPress because everything is based on the Database, in my opinion, it is not helpful to have an extraordinary amount of unpublished pages. If the pages are unpublished and are not indexable you should be ok with the search engines, but I think it is not a good practice to get into. Also if the unfinished pages are resource heavy and have a lot of images that take up space it may start to slow the general operation of the site, especially if you are on shared hosting with limited resources.
