Egol, yep certainly is. Unfortunately as it's my area as well, it's proving quite challenging for me at the moment as well.
It's often hard to stay away from the black hat 'easy' methods. But Rome wasn't built in a day was it!

Yes, it certainly is. I'm always searching and hoping for a 'quick win' strategy, but nothing can really beat earnt links unfortunately!

No, just no!
Automated software is never really a good idea and although it may result in short term gain, the long term prospects are not very good at all.Concentrate on creating high quality links that require a human to put effort it. 1 high quality link will out shine 1,000 spammy links

My keyword is: "BabyHazelGames" babyhazelgames.land ( for me it sounded like "the land of baby hazel" etc ) PlayHazel.com ( short .com domain, still says what the sites about ) If u check first page for this keyword u see most of the sites are EMD-s or filler partial EMD ( on .com-s)Someone told me to buy a EMD since I fight with EMD-s on first page, and its the only way I have a chance! I bought The games license, theme license and all of these. That was alot of money, and I dont want to put all my money and work on the wrong domain name. Can you recommend any USA web testers
Hi We are a UK based company who sell in the US, DE, FR and AU. We have been selling in the USA for a few years now, mainly through Amazon and few key retailers we have a website for direct sales but we are finding extremely difficult to convert our traffic. we are looking ta conversion rates of 0.19% We have over 2000 email subscriber list which we are emailing on regular basis, from a first person perspective, telling them the befits of products, competitions etc using soft sell tactics. We have a large Facebook, pinterest and twitter following The site functions well there's room for improvement but in the UK the sales are a lot higher. I'm looking for a way to test our site on an american audience tos ee if we are conveying the right messages. Although we speak pretty much the same language what our customers in UK like could be completely different? Backlink Badges - Good or Bad
One of my free tools for creating web pages automatically inserts a back-link to my home page as a footer, or 'badge' from the free web pages it creates. Hence there are tens of thousands of low quality sites out there linking back to my home page. While this was great ten years ago, Google looks on things differently these days. So the question is, will Google penalize me for this? Does the negative outweigh the positive - should I remove the insertion of back-link badges from the product? Thanks, Peter

Should I fix a high quality link when the website linking was complaining? What would you do?
While reviewing 404 errors in Webmaster Tools, I noticed that a client had a link from a high authority, well respected forum, to a page which no longer exists. When I checked out the linking post, it was from 2004 and showed a campaign against the company for it's advertising tactics. I'll spare the details but the company has since changed their ways. It's tempting to implement a 301 to get the link juice from this DA 80 post, but since the reason for the link is a negative one and the co-citations are not going to be positive, is it better to just let this link go? Or what about something more up-front, such as setting up a page which states the company's mission statement and commitment to quality and standards and 301 redirecting to there? Even if we let this link be broken, a potential customer could be put off, so it might be a good idea to address this past issue on site? Let me know your opinions on whether there is a way to benefit from this link or whether we are better off allowing the 404.

Can we publish two guest posts on one domain with same pen name but different linking website? Actually I have been doing guest posts with pen name “Jane Andrew” for “abc.com”(bit old and well performing website). Now I need to post for a new website “xyz.com” on some old domains (where I have already published my articles) so the situation is that I want domains and pen name to remain same but linking website would be different. I had few questions in my mind regarding that and I would be grateful if you help me getting the required information. Is it right from SEO, branding and marketing point of view? How Google interprets this? Is there any harm for the old well performing website or for the new one? And also both websites are owned and managed by the same owner.

Anyone have any experience with freelance graphic designer sites?
I'm wanting to get a few things designed for our site, and I was curious if anyone has any experience using any of the companies online where you can hire graphic designers. It looks like a lot of these companies use people over seas, and although some of them are talented, I don't think their styles are the same as I'm used to here. (Hope that doesn't sound bad...I'm not meaning it like that.) Does anyone have any suggestions for a good company to use online? Thanks.

Need Help Regarding Guest Blog Posts
Hello, I have recently joined here to read up about SEO and to access the tools for my in-house “SEO guy” who has just started. So I’m a little bit green to all of this and have a quick question regarding guest posting. He says that there is a lot to do with my sites; building links, correcting errors on some of my sites, etc. He showed me from the reports on here and he is an honest trustworthy guy, so not worried about being scammed. A lot of this stuff goes over my head though, so he directed me to the question and answer area/blog if I have any worries or queries. He wants to put a section on the home page of my blog promoting the fact that I accept guest posts. I understand that this will help me rank higher (hopefully!) and also he says I should be trying to post on other blogs to get these links for my sites. I think this might be a good idea because I have a few websites and not a lot of time or money to do a great amount of content (which I’m told needs to be regular and of high quality), perhaps a post a week on each site I can manage at the moment. I think that some competitors might want to use this opportunity to get a link from my website to theirs. I must admit I’m a little bit hesitant about doing this if it helps them. He is telling me that just one link in the author area of the post is fine, and only to accept good quality posts. But I just want some other people’s opinions as well. Are there any ground rules that someone can recommend I stick to? Along the lines of, how many links I allow them to have in their post, where these links should be, how long the content should be as a minimum, etc. Thanks in advance. Jeff
