Link building software
-
Hello MOzzers! Happy sunday
I need some help, I have 3 diff link builders , they are building links for me individually , all 3 have diff keywords.
What I need help with is some way to quickly check the reports they send me ( list of links they have built).
Is there any software that I can copy paste the links in and then the software checks allthe links? Ir is there any way to do this quickly.
I cant tell you how much I appreciate this help!
Oh, the site in question where thelinks are being built is my own site www.gunshotdigital.com
Best regards,
Vijay

Good suggestions. Ontolo has a service were you can add your most imp links to, and monitor if those go down.
However, it would be nice to get alerts, for example google alerts, when a link goes up, and also when it goes down. Ideal for all links per domain. Anything out there on this?

I have a simular system, but not so automated, the idea of logging into SEOMoz sounds good, mine is a cross section of customers and submission sites, I have scoring criteria for each site, so if the site is not paying its way I drop it instead of mindless submitting to sites regardless. As I mentioned I pay for submissions and success, so I don’t have a problem of finding the successful links, my man in India does that to get paid. But I like the idea of checking they still exist into the future. One of the main advantages is the data you get back, knowing the success rate, what link text was used, deep links, niche link count per page, link position we then can submit in order of quality, niche and locality. Or at lest that’s the plan I have only been up and running a few months and still redesigning as needed. I built mine on ASP.MVC, SQL , it stated out to be a simple app, but has now grown quite complicated.

Hi Ryan,
Yes the Link management system is a custom development. once we have it working for us as an agency we intend to white label it and release for others to use under license.
Only credible related sites! we have been down THAT road too many times!

Your Link Management system sounds nice. It is a custom solution? If so, you may want to work with your development team to consider publishing it on the market. There is a ton more work involved but it may be worthwhile.
With respect to your link builders in India, what kind of sites are they gaining links from? Are they trolling forums and blogs? Free directories? Or are they gaining unique links from credible sites which are related to your niche?

We too use link builders in India to build links for us across 60+ terms for various clients and managing them is a nightmare.
We recently embarked on a project with our developers to create a Link Management system. The system allows a link builder to log in and 'Post' a link, which is then crawled and checked a number of times over the coming weeks. New links that are found are then confirmed and reports can be produced by client/link builder to show how many new links have been established, thus how many we should pay for. We also linked into SEOmoz API to grab the URLs PA/DA scores so we can monitor quality.
Our clients can also log in and monitor their link campaign progress, which saves use a time consuming report at the end of each month.
My favourite part is the Link Atrophy report which highlights links that have dropped off/disappeared since the last crawl. It gives me an error code for each link to say why the link wasn't found, such as 404 for the linking page is gone, 500 for server error and others for the link just isn't active anymore.
Its proving very useful and a fantastic time saving tool. Not bad for a weeks worth of dev time.

I have a guy in India that link builds for me, I pay him for posting the link and pay him again on proof of success, so he has to show me the linking page.
it is hard to check as you suggest because links some times take a long time to be approved, and it is time consuming checking sites to see where they put your links. Even if there is software to do this, you may have to wait some time before checking.
Take the work off your hands and pay them on success is my advice -
By the way, your website sends my virus protection off due to thei-farem. Not sure if this is intended but something to look at.

Hi Vjay
Using Open Site Explorer offered by SEOMOZ is propbably your best bet.
Open Site Explorer:
Research and compare backlinks with competitors for intelligent and targeted link building. Identify top pages, view social activity data, and analyze anchor text.
http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/
You can also maybe have a look at Majestic SEO who also offer some great link building information, with regards to how many links you have, anchor text information and they update their data regularly.

Can Moz generate 404 Broken links report in an excel format
Hi all, Hope you are doing good and that all is well at your end. I'm a marketing team member here at Zephyr and I take care of the content side things for the team. I'm reaching out to you this morning in regards to figuring whether any Moz feature can be used for fixing broken links on our website and whether or not it can generate the broken links report which can be exported and saved in a spreadsheet. We are in the middle of cleaning up all the broken links which are currently live on our drupal site and which is why we are in need of a tool that generates the report of all the broken links onto an excel spreadsheet.Once we have the list of broken links set in a spreadsheet, we will work towards fixing those links. Meanwhile, we have also created a 404 error image for our readers who can be directed towards our homepage. Please, let me know if you can help me take care of these below-mentioned requests: 1. Suggest a tool /Moz feature which can generate the site report and list of broken links onto excel/spreadsheet 2. Once I've the list in an excel format, is there an automated way in which we can fix all the broken links which are currently live on our website, instead of manually deleting/unlinking those pages. Truly appreciate your help. Thank you! Is there an automated way in which we can fix all the broken links which are currently live on our website, instead of manually deleting/unlinking those pages.

How do you determine how much a link is worth?
Obviously things like Mozrank, domain authority, relevancy signals, authority signals, and other fundamentals are a great starting ground, but I was wondering how people put value on a links. How much time is a link from a page rank of x or a moz rank of y worth. How much time, money (not in terms of paid links, but in terms of manpower, copyrighting required, etc.) is a link of a certain rank worth. Obviously there is no exact answer to this question, but I'm very curious to see what people have to say in this regard.

Does MozAuthority calculates the MozAuthority of each incoming link?
Hey Mozzers! So as I'm checking MozAuthority as a primary parameter to determine if a co-operation with a website is worthwhile, I did notice that it's mainly based on QUANTITY of inbound links. My question is this: Does my site's MozAuthority calculates The same parameter from each incoming link? Example: My site, www.google.com, has 5 incoming links from low MozAuthority domains. Your site, www.facebook.com, has 5 incoming links from medium MozAuthority domains. His site, www.yahoo.com has 5 incoming links from high MozAuthority domains. Will the 3rd case necessarily have a higher MozAuthority than #1 and #2?

Two PR 5 websites, but little to no link data in OSE. How??
As the title states - We've recently developed two sites for clients - within the last 4 months or so. With the Google PR update, both sites are sitting as PR 5 sites. I've tried to have a look in the OSE for the backlink profile of both websites, but I see nothing. Even Majestic SEO's fresh index doesn't provide much info. The DA of each site is 11-16. I would really love to see what's generating the link juice to these sites. Any ideas? The two sites are: https://bfore.co.za

Google Inbound Links much higher than SEOMOZ
I just started here and really like everything the community and tools so far. One question. My SEOMOZ dashboard shows only one inbound link while Google Web Tools shows 300+. My site has been up for 3 months now and I'm curious about the lack of indexing. Any help, tips or feedback is greatly appreciated. http://CrossTrainingandFitness.com Robb Jarrett

Tons of Crappy links in new OSE (Open Site Explorer)
I am starting to miss the old OSE. I've found that for a lot of the pages on our site, the new OSE is showing WAY more links and most of them are garbage nonsense links from China, Russia, and the rest of the internet Wild West. For instance, in the old OSE, this page used to show 9 linking domains: http://www.uncommongoods.com/gifts/by-recipient/gifts-for-him It now shows 454 links. Some of the new links (about 5 of them) are legitimate. The other 400+ are garbage. Some are porn sites, most of them don't even open a web page, they just initiate some shady download. I've seen this for other sites as well (like Urban Outfitters) This is making it much harder for me to do backlink analysis on bc I have no clue how many "Normal" links they have. Is anyone else having this problem ? Any way to filter all this crap out ? See attached screenshot of the list of links I'm getting from OSE. NHXnn
