SEomoz slow to crawl?
-
Hello - I am just trying out the trial and it said the next crawl was nov 1st but I see no change in any of the errors since the initial crawl... so just waiting to find out if what I changed was fixed or not. Is this normal ?

You can manually crawl up to 3000 URLs at http://pro.moz.com/tools/crawl-test.

I'm new to Moz, is 7 days the minimum for full crawl? We bought the tool and a few staff all set about making lots of changes, however I would now like to see results from the changes. Can I manually make it crawl? or do we just have to sit tight for 7 days at a time.

I don't know the policy, but I did send an email to the team asking if your trial could be extended.

Thanks, I sent an email to help@seomoz.org. They told me to relink it but I had tried that in the past. I just ended up archiving the campaign and making a new one and it seems to be working again. It didn't crawl it for a month either. Originally, I thought it would crawl a bit faster but had to give it about 4 days to complete.
A entry in the robots.txt was taken out (I believe on search.php?) so 10k+ pages were crawled by accident so had to wait until next due date to assess the seo. Nothing in a month and extended the trial to a paid subscription for another month to see results. Would they gave a credit for that time period? Thank you for your help

Do send an email to help@seomoz.org about the crawl, as there was a problem with some campaigns not having a next crawl date. So sorry about the troubles!
-
Thank you, it is still giving that error for one campaign. We opened up a www. campaign instead of a * and it doesnt show an error. One campaign is also showing last crawl date with no next crawl date and the other saying the next is dec 4th. Not sure if that will become an issue or not. Thanks!

Hi Bethany,
Has this and the google analytics connectivity been sorted out? If not, please contact help@seomoz.org and open a ticket and they'll be able to fix this for you. We certainly do want you to be able to get the most out of your free trial! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Hi Bethany,
If you are still seeing the message that says the next crawl is due to complete November 1st, then you will need to email the SEOmoz Help team direct and ask them to take a look at it for you - help [at] seomoz.org
Hope that helps,
Sha

Crawl Diagnostics Warnings - Duplicate Content
Hi All, I am getting a lot of warnings about duplicate page content. The pages are normally 'tag' pages. I have some news stories or blog posts tagged with multiple 'tags'. Should I ask google not to index the tag pages? Does it really affect my site? Thanks

What is the proper setting to choose in the beginning of campaign setup to have the entire site crawled. Not sure what I did different and I must be reading the instructions incorrectly. Thanks, Don

Significance of SEOmoz`s keyword difficulty
Hello everybody, currently, I am working on a project that will be available in multiple languages. My problem concerns the difference of the German and English language in relation to the SEOmoz`s Keyword difficulty (KWD). I just finished my German keyword research and got a satisfying collection of keywords I can use according to the KWD, page/ domain authority, Backlinks and Onpage-check. Now, as I am doing my research for the English market I find it hard to find any appropriate keywords with a satisfying KWD. I imagined the ranking on the English market to be much harder but now I doubt to ever rank for any useful, effective keyword on my list, because most of them are over 70 (some important over 80). According to the research it seems to have something to do with the authority strength of the pages, trust, etc, because they do not have more backlinks. Since they are query independent it is very hard for me to get a feeling for those metrics (I am new at SEO). So here are my questions: Due to your experiences, is it even possible to derank such pages or should I simply save the effort? How significant is the SEOmoz`s KWD? Would you always do Onpage optimization (text, internal linking) in case you earn more trust, authority, etc in the future, just to have your site optimized on the best keyword possible, even though you know that you cannot rank for that keyword (Cue: User-experience)? Or would you switch to less significant words (e.g. flashcards -> index cards) where you have a chance to rank but which is not that effective with traffic? Or focus on longtail, if possible? Many thanks

Is The Crawl Diagnostic tool working correctly?
The Crawl Diagnostic tool shows issues and displays a graph but they don't display the page specific results/suggestion like it used to. I get the "Congratulations, there are no pages affected by this issue!" message.

How does SeoMoz works with noindex meta tags?
In my last SeoMoz Crawl I've found a lot of warnings about duplicated content in page with a noindex meta tag. Is that normal? These pages should not be considered as indexable content of my website, isn't it?
