After running my first campaign, what should I tackle first?
-
I'm in the 30 day trial period of SEOMoz Pro. Ran my first campaign and there are many improvements to be had across the board. Looking for some sort of guidance as to what I should focus on first.

You're welcome Randy, am glad to have helped
The Pro Tools are excellent, the guide should help to get the most out of them. Work through it in whatever order seems logical and most apt for your site.

Simon

Exactly what I was looking for. The Pro User Guide was going to be my next question but you've beaten me to the punch. Thanks!

Hi Randy
I'd suggest checking out and working through the SEOmoz Pro User Guide, which can be found at http://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/20027997-campaign-set-up
As your campaign is already setup, start by looking at Crawl Diagnostics and addressing any issues there, then check out the Rankings Report to see how your SEO endeavours are doing (helps if you have visitor numbers as well from Google Analytics linked-up).
From there, look at your On-Page Reports, then your Link Analysis.
After you are comfortable that your site is in great shape, start looking at Competitor's sites strengths and weaknesses and your Off-Page SEO (the all important inbound links, which of course requires great content on your site to gain maximum benefit from this).
That should get you off to a great start.
Regards
Simon

There are a lot of different things you can focus on to improve your SEO results, Randy, and this is my personal preference as far as order:
- Keyword research - make sure you're optimizing for the right keywords that you can realistically rank well for
- On-page optimization - make the code and content changes necessary to improve your SEO results
- Off-page optimization - build those relationships and get those back-links that help the search engines see your site as an authority site
Use the SEOmoz Pro tools for each of those areas and I think you'll start seeing good results in your charts.
I hope that helps!

Campaign Keyword Overview?
This may be more of a developmental comment, however... Is there any way to pull an overview of keyword ranking over the week (or any period of time) for one of your campaigns? It looks like you can pull graphs on individual keyword performance, however not for the full set of keywords for a campaign. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this within Pro Moz... or is it best to compile the keyword data every week and track it in Numbers or Excel? Thanks everyone!

Import Keywords from 1 campaign to another
Hi There, I've got one campaign set up and just created another in my dashboard. I have roughly 300 keywords added and categorized in campaign 1. I want to export these exact keywords, (and to also remain categorized the same), into campaign 2. How can I do this without having to add each keyword individually and recreating the categories again? Basically, I want to export my keywords/copy/past from one campaign, to another. I don't want to set everything up again. How can I do this? Thanks, Reena.

Confused on setting up my domain in a campaign
I have a website that is www.example.com. When I first setup my campaign in SEOMoz, I missed the instructions that stated I need to set up my domain as it appeared in the browser. Thus, I set it up as example.com. When I realized my mistake, I setup a second campaign as www.example.com and am running them side by side to see the differences. My question has to do with the best setup. I have a blog that is a subdomain as blog.example.com. It appears that the www.example.com campaign is not crawling the blog pages but example.com is. Are there any downsides in setting up this campaign as example.com? I have a number of other sites with the same issue so would like to get this resolved before I setup the additional sites. Thanks for any assistance or insights into ways I may be "shooting myself in the foot" with the wrong domain structure in my campaign settings.

Ideal Campaign Set Up For Multiple Landing Pages Post Panda
I have a local floor cleaning business in the UK. I have various discrete services e.g. carpet cleaning, stone restoration and polishing (a page for each type of stone) that are delivered in distance geographical service areas. Each page is set up to target a "town/service" keyword. In each geographical location I have different competitors Should I set individual campaigns for each landing page or is one site wide campaign the way to go. Many thanks David Allen

What does this error mean when starting a new campaign
hi just about to start a new campaign to i can monitor my website and i get this message up but not sure what this means. Roger has detected a problem: We have detected that the domain www.headlineplus.com and the domain headlineplus.com both respond to web requests and do not redirect. Having two "twin" domains that both resolve forces them to battle for SERP positions, making your SEO efforts less effective. We suggest redirecting one, then entering the other here. can anyone please let me know why this message comes up please

Is there a problem with the keyword rankings in the campaign?
It says last updated 19/08 and is updated every Friday but nothing has changed.
