Hello,
I'm wondering if anything has changed with regards to Yandex. I can find keyword data for volumes of search queries, but nothing on the level of competition. Here is the Yandex keyword tool. http://wordstat.yandex.ru/?cmd=words But this tool doesn't provide anything in teh way of keyword competitiveness.
Does anyone know anything about Yandex keyword competition?

Unfortunately, none of our tools check rankings on Yandex. But make sure to let our product team know you're interested on our features request page.

I've used geoedge - their proxy is free for search results (works with firefox).
You may also find this resource useful for Yandex info and this kw volume tool from Yandex

Keyword Research and Planning Flow
Hello, First post here. I am a IT infrastructure engineer that does application and deployment work mostly, but new to SEO. That being said, I am a firm believer in demming wheel and defined process/flow charts. I have a website up, built as best practice, its a Magento CE open source Ecommerce store. After some initial research, it seems I really need to define my keywords before I start branding my landing pages and such. So i am going to have to go back and implement the keywords and evaluate. But as I am reading it seems most SEO people try their keywords in google ad words first? Then implement? I am hoping to find some flow or process sheets on how successful Keyword research is done via step by step process and evaluation. And explanations of each. How many keywords to start with per landing page, how many to try and get in the H1 headers, paragraphs, URL. How long to leave keywords in to test? Also, I am a start up company that is competing with the big boys in my market space. I know I cant compete for the big keywords in my market? What is my best strategy for getting any kind of ranking as a small business in a global market? SEO is a mysterious, intriguing thing to me! Noob question about keyword research
I have a client that does commercial building renovations. I looked at a lot of their competitors and did some googling to see what words people were using. Some terms such as commercial fit-outs, didn't really have any search volume. I did pick out some that had some volume, Google KW Tool said anywhere from 46 local searches for something like "commercial construction contractors" to 320 for "commercial construction companies". However, no data really shows up for local specifics like "commercial construction companies philadelphia". I tried looking at competitors in the Moz site explorer, but not too many were doing much link building to look at anchor text. Question 1) When it says "local monthly searches", is it defaulting to MY local area based on my google info? So if im in Philly area that local area is whats displaying? Question 2) I tried to run the same keyword list I pulled from Adwords tool through Moz KW tool, and it tells me some of the terms don't have ANY traffic! So know I am real confused as to whether the KW's i picked are good or crap! I attached image of the stuff. CnYyNb3

ETA On the Keyword Research Tool?
I'm trying to do some keyword research on Google UK but it hasn't been working for a couple of days now. I have a client waiting on a proposal that features this research heavily and might lose them if I can't use it soon! Is there any estimated time for the return of the service? Is the keyword tool down for everybody?

Best kw difficulty score to go for as a newbie
I have been using seomoz keyword difficulty tool for quite a while. My question is, which is the best keyword difficulty score to go for as a newbie? I have seen many keywords at the range of 40 to 50 but I dont know if it will be easier to rank them esp with a new website.

Getting relevant keywords from URL with Google KW Tool.
Hi, When I first start researching a site, I like to see what Google "thinks" it is relevant to. I use the Google KW Tool and enter the website URL only. I sort the results by relevance. I can then show the prospective client what Google thinks his site is optimized for and use that info to show him what opportunities exist to rank for terms more relevant to his business. I show him keyword, volume and I also get current SERP rank for his site. For larger sites, I do this for the top pages based Domain Authority. I want to automate this process using excel and APIs but Google refused my API token request. I told them I wanted to use the "Google AdWords API Extension for Excel" from http://seogadget.co.uk/google-adwords-plugin-excel. The Google API token team replied: Please note, after reviewing your application in detail, we are sorry to let you know that we won't be able to approve your token. We understand that you are planning to use the AdWords API mainly for Targeting Idea Service (TIS) and Traffic Estimation Service (TES) such as 'keyword research'. Please note that as per the Required Minimum Functionality (RMF) outlined in the API Terms & Conditions, using the AdWords API exclusively for TIS and TES type of services is not allowed. Q1: What does the KW Tool relevancy data mean, anyway? Q2: is there another way to get it or is there another way to do this? Q3: Is there a better approach I should take with the Google API team? Q4: Are there other APIs and Excel plugins that can do this, including the SEOMoz APIs? Thanks,
