How to Optimize Product Page for Better Ranking in Google?
-
Today, I was searching for product page SEO on Google for better optimization of product pages and category level pages.
I want to introduce about my website structure.
Root category: http://www.vistastores.com/outdoor
Sub category: http://www.vistastores.com/outdoor-umbrellas
End level category: http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas
Product page: http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas-california-umbrella-slpt758-f13-red.html
I'm doing link building for sub category & end level category page. But, I'm not able to do inbound marketing for product level URLs due to resource problem.
But, I have checked that... There are many competitors who are rank well with long trail keyword... I'm selling same product but not ranking well...
What is reason behind it? I don't know...
Just look at Olefin Red Patio Umbrella search result. I want to rank in top 3 with this kind of long trail keywords...
I have made study of following video and article.
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/ecommerce-seo-making-product-pages-into-great-content-whiteboard-friday
http://www.distilled.net/blog/seo/in-search-of-the-perfect-seo-product-page/
I have done all things which were described by them... But, I'm still waiting for good ranking...

Hey,
For the keyword you want to rank in top 3 I get: Home Depot, Amazon and Overstock. All of these 3 websites are big authority websites. It won't be easy to outrank them and it will require a lot of time and linkbuilding.

SEO impact of mouse over text on product page
Hi, we recently improved our product page to show more color options, like this http://www.prams.net/knorr-baby-voletto-sport-pram-stroller-reversible-seat-green-a?inref=home-left In order to improve the seo, we expanded our rich snippets the following way we added all color options, skus and prices as "items offered" we are showing the highest and lowest price range and eliminated the base price https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/ Google now shows the price range in the rich snippet. The questions is: as the user see the original color, the price and the sku only when mousing over the small images. We are worried that this could be treated a "hidden text". Does anybody have experience in this matter or a way a to solve it better? Thanks in advance Dieter 8WthtQY

Product Schema & Google Guidelines
Hi We have product mark up on our site, data-vocab rather than schema. I can't see it showing in Google SERPs, but when testing it appears to be correct. Are Google still selective with what schema they show for a site? Thanks

Why are some pages indexed but not cached by Google?
The question is simple but I don't understand the answer. I found a webpage that was linking to my personal site. The page was indexed in Google. However, there was no cache option and I received a 404 from Google when I tried using cache:www.thewebpage.com/link/. What exactly does this mean? Also, does it have any negative implication on the SEO value of the link that points to my personal website?

Street Address Not Appearing on Business Google+ Page
I run a local business in New York City, a commercial real estate brokerage. My firm has both a web site and Google+ accounts, one Google+ account for me personally and a Google+ account for my business. Under address my Google+ account is showing New York, NY. It is not showing a street address. Similiarly when my business name is entered in the Google search bar, my web site is the first result, but under address (directly to the right of a black dot with a grey circle around it) "New York, NY" with the phone number beneath it appears. No sign of my street address. My business is registered under Google Places and we have entered the correct street address. Any ideas on how I can get Google to display our street address? This is obviously very, very detrimental for local SEO. Thanks,

Are there different tactics to optimize for Bing vs. Google?
We are ranking very well in Google SERPS, but lackluster for the most part in Bing SERPS. i haven't seen anything that clearly lays out how to optimize for Bing, but my concern is that if we make changes to opt for Bing that we might lose Google ranking. Any insight as to what we might do?

Google is displaying my pages path instead of URLS (Pages name)
Does anyone knows why Google is displaying my pages path instead of the URL in the search results, i discoverd that while am searching using a keyword of mine then i copied the link http://www.smarttouch.me/services-saudi/web-services/web-design and found all related results are the same, could anyone one tell me why is that and is it really differs? or the URL display is more important than the Path display for SEO!

Category Pages up - Product Pages down... what would help?
Hi I mentioned yesterday how one of our sites was losing rank on product pages. What steps do you take to improve the SERPS of product pages, in this case home/category/product is the tree. There isn't really any internal linking, except one link from the category page to each product, would setting up a host of internal links perhaps "similar products" linking them together be a place to start? How can I improve my ranking of these more deeply internal pages? Not just internal links?
