Schema tags - Schema.org
-
We have rolled out Schema tags for our homepage which has been very beneficial for us. We obviously don't want to go overboard however; can you please clarify, should Schema tags be limited to the homepage location, or implemented through the site?
Thanks

Sure you can use schema.org tags throughout your site, whenever it makes sense.
There are so many schema.org tags it's hard to give any specific recommendations without knowing your site, but there are tags for product images, for ratings (individual and aggregate), etc. - it is clear that your inner pages are more than likely to have content which can be tagged.
Just make sure that you don't go over the board, i.e. avoid spammy tactics like fake aggregate ratings. They could make your SERPs look better and improve CTR in the short term, but your site could be easily penalized for such practices.

I'd say use it where it makes sense. Location finder? use it. Contact page? Use it. Footer of every page? Nah.

Should internal links in my table of contents be tagged as nofollow?
Hi All, I have the LuckyWP Table of Contents plugin installed. I recently noticed that you can tag your internal links with and nofollow. I understand that it's always a good idea to link internally and to pass link juice to my own content. But with detailed posts that have over 20 headings, I'm thinking that internal linking for headings may actually hurt me because it takes my links well above 100. Any ideas what the best practises are in this scenario? Thanks.

Canonical Tag - Magento - Help
Hello, I was hoping to get some help or tips on how to best control the canonical tag on a Magento based website. When you go into the Magento admin and enable the option to use the canonical tag on pages, all that does is input the canonical tag to the exact page just with the http:// in the url. My goal is to use the canonical tag on specific pages and point it to other pages, not just the same page with an http:// For example, right now for page: example.com/question/baseball the canonical tag is pointing to http://example.com/question/baseball What i want is to be able to do is take: example.com/question/baseball and have the canonical tag point to example.com/question/baseballbats Is this possible? Does what I'm saying make sense? Please let me know what you all think.... Thanks!

Schema.org microformatting - itemprop within href tag?
I'm trying to implement microformatting on the site, specifically for the cities where we are active. I'm hoping this will help us rank in local search. This is what I have been doing: op="addressLocality">City Name In Google's Rich Snippets Testing Tool, that yields this: addresslocality = City Name However, I've also done this: City Name In Google's tool, that gave me this: addresslocality text = City Name

Source code structure: Position of content within the tag
Within the section of the source code of a site I work on, there are a number of distinct sections. The 1st one, appearing first in the source code, contains the code for the primary site navigation tabs and links. The second contains the keyword-rich page content. My question is this: if i could fix the layout so that the page still visually displayed in the same way as it does now, would it be advantageous for me to stick the keyword-rich content section at the top of the , above the navigation? I want the search engines to be able to reach the keyword-rich content faster when they crawl pages on the site; however, I dont want to implement this fix if it wont have any appreciable benefit; nor if it will be harmful to the search-engine's accessibilty to my primary navigation links. Does anyone have any experience of this working, or thoughts on whether it will make a difference? Thanks,
