Rel=nofollow link to a NoFollow, NoIndex Page?

I have a multitude of "schedule a demo" pages/forms on my site that are all identical, so I have on all of them. My question is, should I also place on the link to the "schedule a demo" pages?
I know the generic rule is to never nofollow any internal links (per Matt Cutts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVOOB_Q0MZY), but should that still apply if the link directs to a page that is noindex, nofollow?
Thanks for your input in advance; don't want to run into, as Matt Cutts puts it, "a mini kerfuffle!"

make sure if it’s your domain you should know it’s in the code or robot.txt

Google continues to ignore nofollow links for crawling and indexing purposes, but this strict behavior changes March 1, 2020, at which point Google begins treating nofollow attributes as "hints", meaning they may choose to crawl them.

You can use the new attributes in combination with each other. For example, rel="nofollow sponsored ugc" is valid

I have a question. If you are redirecting an affiliate link through a WordPress plugin that tells the bots not to follow on the server side, do you still need to use a nofollow tag for the on page html coding of the a href link?

Thanks for the help Alan! Yes, I stay away from dodgy sites entirely as well. Definitely ancillary factors to consider, as always, but thanks for covering my major question/issue. Got caught up in the sale and forgot about user experience/navigation.

Yes that is the best stucture, but as i stated there are other considerations, such as link position in page, relevancy and soon, so its not that simple.
no i would never use no-follow on a internal link, there is always a better fix.
In fact i would not use them anywhere, If i was linking to a page that was so dodgy that i needed a no-follow, i would rethink linking to them at all to be on the safe side.

Brad - I think Alan's point is probably the way to go, and as he points out, "it can return it thought its outlinks" -- the pagerank will spread back as the user navigates to other pages away from the privacy policy or whatever page. And Matt Cutts seems to agree with Alan's point --- if you're linking out to another site (especially one you don't trust) then use nofollow, but never use it on internal links.
Alan - So from reading your link on pagerank, the best strategy would be as flat an architecture as possible with dofollow links sitewide? Since page/link shaping is grey hat, is there any benefit using rel=nofollow for any links on a site, such as the dropdown navigation on a homepage, the footer, or any social media links?

I think the better question is why would you?
nofollow means that the link juice for that link is wasted, it goes up in smoke. you do save it, you waste it.
OK you may not want to give your policy page link juice, buit it is better to give it to your policy page, so that it can return it thought its outlinks, rather then just lose the link juice altogether thought a nofolow.

Marty, in relation to your video from Matt Cutts, does this still apply?
Why would you not apply nofollow links to internal pages such as privacy policy, terms and conditions, returns policy etc?

Thank you Alan, don't know what I was thinking; got caught up in the point of sale and didn't even think about them navigating the site after conversion.

I would remove the nofollow from the pages.
Haveing noindex,nofollow means that all the links poiting to them are watsing link juice, as they can not be follwed to return link juice thought the pages outlinks.
if you dont want it uindexed just use noindex,follow this way you dont lose all the link juice.
using a no follow on the links pointing to a nofollow page would make no difference as they are already nofollow. As i suggested above, unless there is some reason to nofollow(and i cant think of any) i would not do it

Conversion Rate Higher Than Landing Page Visits?
Interesting to see in Google Analytics that the conversion rate is higher than landing page visits - could it be attributed to a visitor clicking the CTA button multiple times? Or perhaps there is duplicate GA code on the conversion page since we utilize both Google Analytics and HubSpot. (see attached funnel screenshot) Screen-Shot-2014-09-26-at-10.49.09-AM.png

How can I redirect incoming links from an old version of my site ending in .ctlg and .ivnu?
My original site was published in 2001 using "version 2" software from Ivenue, the hosting company that I signed up with at that time. The site's structure was built in such a way that the primary category pages ended in the extension .ivnu. Product or item pages on the shopping cart side ended in the extension .ctlg. My site's name was and is [Lamplight Feather, Inc.](<a class="webkit-html-attribute-value webkit-html-external-link" href="http://www.tonyhill.net/" target="_blank">http://www.tonyhill.net/</a>). We built our business between 2001 and 2011 and by the last three years (2009 - 2011) of using their version two were averaging a million dollars per year in gross sales. We decided to "upgrade" to Ivenue's "version 3" in 2011 to take advantage of some more modern options and because their newer software created web pages ending in .html which we thought more desirable. We made the switch in late 2011. But it was a disaster. Traffic and sales dropped precipitously. For the past two years (2012-2013) our annual gross sales average dropped to $400,000. (Two other factors were involved beside losing the many incoming links and link juice we had built up over the years: Panda came in that fall and my little niche market (decorative feathers) was flooded with competitors.) However as I try to rebuild our traffic and business little by little, I am stumped as to how to redirect the many incoming links that went to our first site's .ivnu and .ctlg pages. I have constructed redirects for some of our current but changed .html pages like this and put them in the file cabinet and they work: For (example): http://www.tonyhill.net/feathers_c384589.html then But trying the same thing for (example) http://www.tonyhill.net/craftfeathers.ivnu still returns a 404. Is there something I am missing. Ivenue is useless in this matter by the way. Their "technicians" are no help. I plan to be migrating my site once again to a new hosting company and hope to solve this problem before then. Duplicate Title Errors on Product Category Pages - The best practice?
I'm getting quite a few 'Duplicate Title Error' on category pages which span over 2 - 3 pages. E.g. http://www.partwell.com/cutting-punches http://www.partwell.com/cutting-punches?page=1 http://www.partwell.com/cutting-punches?page=2 http://www.partwell.com/cutting-punches?page=3 All 4 pages currently have the same title... <title>Steel Cutting Punches</title> I was thinking of adding Page Numbers to the title of each corresponding page, thus making them all unique and clearing the Duplicate Page Title errors. E.g. <title>Steel Cutting Punches</title> <title>Steel Cutting Punches | Page 1 of 3</title> <title>Steel Cutting Punches | Page 2 of 3</title> <title>Steel Cutting Punches | Page 3 of 3</title> Is this the best way to go around it? Or is there another way that I'm not thinking of? Would I need to use the rel=canonical tag to show that the original page is the one I want to be found? Thanks

Re-Launched Website: Developer Fogot to Remove noindex tags.
Our company's website has maintained decent rankings for the last 12 years we've been in business for our primary keywords. We recently had our website rebuilt from the ground up, and the developers left the noindex tags on all of our 400+ pages when we launched it. I didn't catch the error for 6 days. During which time, I used the Fetch feature in Google, submitting a site-wide fetch, as well as manual submissions for our top 100 URLs . In addition, every page that was indexed previously had a 301 set up for it, which was pointing to a destination with a noindex.

I caught the error today, and the developer removed the tags. Does anyone have any experience with a situation similar to this? In the SERPs, we are still ranking at this moment, and it's displaying our old URLs, and they are 301 redirecting just fine. But, what happens now? For 6 full days, we told Google not to index any of our pages, while also using the Fetch feature, contradicting ourselves.
Any words of wisdom or advice as to what I can do at this point to avoid potential fall out? Thanks0 -

Sometimes you just want to give Google a big slap for making straight forward requests damn impossible. So all i ma trying to ad is point a ppc ad at this Google + account <a>https://plus.google.com/118393512656496298734#118393512656496298734/posts</a> But i get a warning sign saying:
"The URL must be for a Google+ page, not a personal profile" I then spend half an hour tring to find a Google + page but get no where fast 😞 Warning message illustrated here:

Unique root linking domains - clarification
Hi guys, In SEOMoz Search Ranking Factors, one of the the top ranking factors is number of unique root domains linking to the page: http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors#metrics-5 My question is: do these unique root domains need to be unique root domains liking to my domain also? E.g. www.mydomain.com/landingpage1/ already got a link from www.externaldomain.com If www.externaldomain.com has another link pointing to www.mydomain.com/landingpage2/ will this link be counted? If yes will the value be diluted as www.externaldomain.com has already linked to www.mydomain.com/ Many thanks. David
