Moz's customer service. Is this normal?
-
A few days ago I noticed an issue with the on-page optimizer, when I couldn't find a solution, or even any mention of the problem in the forum I posted a ticket at the help desk.
After ten hours I got a generic reply that didn't answer my ticket so I posted saying so.
After two days of not getting any reaction I looked through the forums again, this time searching for reactions about Moz's help desk. I found the post saying that sometimes the mail with a reply isn't received correctly so I went to the page of the ticket.
Here I saw that not only didn't I get an answer but my issue had been marked as solved, even though my last message clearly stated that it wasn't. This was three days ago.So my question is, is this how Moz usually treats it's clients? I'm new and my free trial is about to expire. At this point Moz should be impressing me with their great tools and services, convincing me it's worth my money. If I can barely get their attention now I don't expect it to change once I have payed them.

In my experience SEOmoz team have the best customer service and they do reply quickly with humbleness. Well obviously sometimes things can go wrong but i guess if you try again and mention your complete problem in detail, I am sure roger will look in to it and will try to help you fixing your problem as quickly as possible.
-
I'll try that, thanks.
-
Well, I wanted an answer that was relevant to my question, maybe to much to ask?
-
My experience has been excellent.
Could it be that your query was answered, but not the answer you wanted? -
That's definitely not SEOMoz's usual customer service. So far, I've always gotten very quick and helpful responses. Mistakes can happen though - reply again to your thread and I'm sure you'll get an answer quickly.

Magento creating odd URL's, no idea why. GWT reporting 404 errors
Hi Mozzes! Problem 1 GWT and Moz, both are reporting approximately one hundred 404 errors for certain URL's. Examples shown below. We have no idea why or how these URL's are being created in Magento. Any hypothesis on the matter would be appreciated. The domain name in question is http://www.artorca.com/ These are valid URL's if /privacy is removed. The first URL is for a product, second for an artist profile and third for a CMS page 1. semi-abstract-landscape/privacy 2. jose-de-la-barra/privacy 3. seller-guide/privacy What may be the source for these URL's? What solution should we implement to fix existing 404's? 301 redirects should be fine? Problem 2 Website pages seem to also be accessible with index.php in the domain name. Example Artorca.com/index.php/URL's. Will this cause a duplicate content issue? Should we implement 301's, canonicals, or just leave as is? Cheers! MozAddict

How do I validate the domain name http://www.abc.com to always ensure the inclusion of the default english data? MOZ Do I need to create 3 campaigns (one per language) and if yes, again how do I handle http://www.abc.com which should exclude /fr and /de? Thank you

SEOmoz PRO Custom Reports Issues
This post is for all PRO members, On January 2, 2012, we found a serious bug in our custom reporting system that made it possible for some of our customers to see other customers’ custom reports. This affected less than 1% of our customers in total (.6 % to be exact). Fewer than 100 reports could potentially be viewed by another customer. We are taking this matter very seriously. 98 accounts were affected and we will be contacting those people individually via their account email addresses. If you do not receive an email from us, don’t worry - you were not affected. Soon after we discovered the problem, we completely turned off access to these reports; even though people may have been provided access previously, the access was limited to a short time period. They no longer have access to the reports whatsoever. The issue has now been resolved and all reports moving forward are functioning properly. For more information on what caused the issue, how it's been resolved and any other updates on the issue, follow the thread here: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/20836338-custom-reports-issues-resolved. We'll add any updates there. Also, we'd like to have all comments/questions from members in one place, so please use the Zendesk link for comments. We really appreciate your patience while we work through this. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at help@seomoz.org - we're always happy to help. Sincerely, Jen Lopez
