Should infographic relate to the niche?
-
There's been a lot of talk about using good infographics for natural inbound links and I'm curious if they should be related to the niche or can be just about anything?
I mean I know it makes no sense to have a fun page about cats if you're selling cooking dishes online but I want to hear some input.
What do you think?

That's what I figured. Thanks for your opinion.

Hi cgman,
Think about an infographic as a good tool for creating a content that can easily drive in lots of inbound links for your website. The question should be then placed in a different style: Do you want to have inbound links from a lot of non-niche related websites? Or you would like to be related as possible to your niche?
This should answer your question

A lot of backlinks from outside of niche – bad?
We have received a lot of backlinks over the years by users putting links on their websites to their home pages on our site, eg: our.domain/user1 our.domain/user2 … our.domain/user100000 There are 10’s of thousands of these backlinks, all natural, but many of them come from blogs that are completely outside of our niche. Only a small percentage of our backlinks 1% to 5% could actually be coming from pages related to our niche, the other 95%+ could be users just linking to their home pages. Could this really hurt us..? We have 1000’s of backlinks related to our niche, yet we’ve noticed that some competitors with less than 50 backlinks can outrank us for certain keywords.. Also related, we’ve noticed these user links popping up on a lot of spammy sites, directories, etc. We didn’t create them but we’re disavowing them now to be safe. So this could also be hitting our rankings.

Subdirectories for subject relations
Dear fellow mozzers, Im in doubt about a subject concerning the use of subdirectories to organize pages and content, but also the effect on how googlebot relates pages together through subdirectories. The specifics: Momentarily the website im working on a site which has a flat url structure for all pages. The website sells courses and eduction on beauty specific subjects. Imagine that there are multiple head categories like: pedicure. This head category has multiple subcourses which all have this structure (as do all pages within the site): http://www.domain.com/subject. Now im wondering if it would be better to bring structure through adding subdirectories like http://www.domain.com/pedicure/pedicure-sub. I've read arguments on keeping your url short because this performs better. Nut on the other hand i think that google can use these subdirectories to determine the relation between head and sub. The reason im asking this, is because the head category page is ranking better for keywords beloning to the subcourses. Would implementing subdirectories help to make the subpages rank better for their specific keywords? Thx

Multiple domains on same IP address, same niche but different locations.
I have a reseller web hosting account. I have more than 30 domains hosted on this account, and I have only one IP address. The websites are exactly similar in terms of niche but different locations, for example plumberlondon.co.uk

Looking for Excellent Infographic Designers
I'm looking for recommendations for excellent infographic designers. They can be located anywhere, charge hourly or project based...as long as they are fluent in writing English, can show some examples of past work, and charge a reasonable rate, that's all we need. I've looked at Elance and Odesk and Craig's List, but what I really want is a recommendation from someone who has actually used the designer they're recommending and had a great experience. A designer who can do the research and ideation in addition to the actual design would be ideal.

Hi, I have a website that I am going completely whitehat with. I am looking for some recommendations on companies who can prepare and execute a proper linkbait campaign. I am specifically thinking about using infogrpahics for the link bait. I would like to work with someone who can come up with the concept, design it and also help promote it. Thanks
