How do i start ranking on bing?
-
can i submit a sitemap to them, like google?
-
All the above are excellent suggestions - the only one I would add is social media shares, mentions and links of your site and its content. Bing is particularly focused on integrating social media metrics into their ranking algorithm as far as I'm aware, so all of the above plus social media links should help considerably.

Sign up for Bing Webmaster Tools and submit it in the same way as Google Webmaster Tools, although I have never found a real need to do this as if you are ranking in Google you usually find that your ranking in Bing unless something is seriously wrong and you've blocked Bing bot!
-
Step one: sign up to <cite>www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster</cite>
Submit a site map and check if the site is indexing correct.
Some areas which bing focus on (similar to Google)
-
Backlinks quality, build high quality backlinks.
-
Anchor text use on posts - Make sure you have good relevant anchors.
-
On page optimization tactics
-
Age and authority of the domain, from my analysis Bing treats aged and trusted domains over time more effectively.
-
also focus on targeting sites via Yahoo such as yahoo directory.
-
work out who is ranking well for terms and reverse engineer what they are doing.

To be very honest if you have submitted an xml sitemap you can submit use it for Bing as well though Bing tool box but I don’t think this activity will help or stop you from ranking in Bing.
Bing crawlers will eventually find your website and will crawl and index it… so letting them know that you exist is great but they will catch you and index you (sooner or later)…
Your question got no specifications but if the case is that you are indexed but not ranking then rules are almost more or less same as it is for Google… build Good content attract valuable links, repeat the process and be a winner.
If you have any specific case please add more details to your question!

Does anyone know of a tool where you can get all of the keyword that any given landing page is ranking for?
I'd like to find out what landing pages are ranking for which keywords, but I haven't been able to find a tool that does it. I was hoping there would be something where I could submit the url and get a list of every keyword it is ranking for. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Newbie off to a discouraging start
Hi guys, I'm just off to a start with trying to work out some SEO, and so far I seem to be making things worse! Would love to get your insight. I've had a page for quite some time. From what I've learned so far, it seems that the page has had some good things going for it already. Just to get things rolling, my goal was to optimize my site for just one keyword phrase. The phrase included a location "Brooklyn", so I jumped into things and got a Moz local account. Then I went through the page and made some tweaks that brought my keywords into more of the H1 tags, URLs etc. Finally, I went into Google Webmaster tools and looked through some of the options and submitted an XML sitemap. When I started things off, I could regularly find my site on page 8 Google when searching for this phrase. Now when I search Google, I can't find it on the first 20 pages. I understand that it can take months for optimization to kick in, and I certainly wasn't looking for overnight results. However, seeing that my ranking has gone down is certainly frustrating. My theories on why this may have happened are that either 1) Something in my changes was detected as being "spammy" by Google, and they've penalized me for this, or 2) Maybe there's some means by which these changes are being "processed" by the search engine, and I just need to have more patience. I'd love to hear if it looks like I've done something wrong, or if it's really just more a matter of patience. The site that I'm working on is www.jacobarthur.com, and the keywords set is "brooklyn wedding photographer" Thanks for any insight!

Why does keyword fluctuate in Google - I.E rank 48 - 13 - not ranked
Hello, I would like some advice on Google ranking, my site sportingdesires had a few keywords rank and now their not ranked for those keywords. Am still in the process of on-page and am not too bothered about them ranking high, more of a curiosity I suppose. am not expecting them to reach any where near top due to tough competition. Am just starting from top of website down to individual products ( this will take about 10 years lol ) sorting out seo issues. then will concentrate on link building & content engagement maybe i over optimised the page take a look at AC Milan club shop for example Kindest Regards, ste

General drop in rankings
We've made a LOT of improvements to our on page SEO and we've been on the right track, but since about 26/7 our rankings appears to have gone down. Since early 2015 we've reworked a lot of the copy on our site to improve the unique/duplicate ratio, we've redone a lot of urls that didn't make any sense. We've improved image alt-text and file names. We've reduced image size on most of the site and we have disavowed spam links (obvious ones like nike shoes and oakley glasses). We've basically improved on-site SEO as much as we can with headers and whatnot. We've been hacked 4 times since January and we had two partial manual penalties from Google, but they were quickly dealt with and we've switched server to one that is both safer and a lot faster. Most of the hacked content seems to have disappeared from Googles index but not all of it. We have also tried our best to deal with URL parameters and we've made 301's out of hundreds of URLs with duplicate content from old slideshows that basically only had an image. And there's even more things we've done like working a lot more with social media, but despite all that were loosing ranking every week and our SEOlytics SVR is at its lowest since early 2014. And we've never (afaik) bought links or anything like that. Obviously we're doing something wrong but frankly we're running out of ideas. We've lost rankings on individual important phrases but there's site-wide general drop.

Does a page's url have any weight in Google rankings?
I'm sure this question must have been asked before but I can't find it. I'm assuming that the title tag is far more important than the page's url. Is that correct? Does the url have any relevance to Google?

Redirect and page ranking
We used to have a good page rank of Google, but now our page rank dropped to zero. A few months ago we did a redirect from our www.???.com to non-www.???.com, because non-www.???.com is now our main website. We also have a number of other domains which we redirect to our main website non-www.???.com Do you think these redirects are causing the problem, and if so what can we do to fix it? Thanks!
