Wrong coded entities
-
Hi, i one of the description text I have found some wrong coded HTML entities. Do you know if someone can fix this bug (see pic) ?
-
Hey all,
Thanks for the heads! I'll get this taken care of.
Cheers,
Joel. -
A quick note to help@seomoz.org would be the fastest way. I'll assign this ticket to the help team, and they can get the encoding error fixed. Thanks for pointing it out!

I know, just wanted to tell SEOMoz that the programmer fucked it up with the double entities encoding and I didn't know where to post it / report the bug.
-
don't pay any attention to that. nothing is wrong, it is just a SEO suggestion to add a bold or strong etc, tag to your keyword phrase on page to give it a little more SEO weight.
For example if your keyword is "Barack oBummer" they are suggesting you code somewhere on the page like this:
Barack oBummer or
Barack oBummer

Is Search Visibility actually weighted by search volume at all? Everyone seems to think so, but that seems completely wrong?
As I've been exploring Moz more, I've been looking into search visibility and what it actually represents. While searching for answers on Moz, I've seen several posts that all seem to think the search volume for keywords matters at all for the search visibility metric, and I'm wondering why anyone thinks that, when everything from Moz seems to indicate otherwise. https://moz.com/help/guides/moz-pro-overview/rankings/search-visibility describes the calculation as taking the CTR for each keyword, based on rank, summing those, and dividing by the number of keywords. This describes a simple, and completely unweighted by search volume, average. This means that if you are tracking 10 keywords, and rank #1 on 5 that have a search volume of 0-10, and are unranked on 5 that have a search volume of 70,801-118,000, that would generate exactly the same search visibility score as if you rank #1 on the 5 high volume, and are unranked on the 5 low volume. The above all makes search visibility look like a much less valuable metric than if it were appropriately weighted by volume, as well as potentially very misleading, since the % relates solely to the number of keywords in your analyzed segment, rather than to the % of search volume that you're obtaining (unless a) all of your keywords are the same rank, or b) all of your keywords have the same volume). Am I missing something, or is everyone just giving Moz way too much credit when it comes to the value of the search visibility metric?

Error Code 804: HTTPS (SSL) Error Encountered
I'm seeing the following error in Moz as below. I have not seen any errors when crawling with different tools - is this common or is it something that needs to be looked at. SO far I only have info below. Assuming I would need to open a ticket with hosting provider for this? Thanks! Error Code 804: HTTPS (SSL) Error Encountered Your page requires an SSL security certificate to load (using HTTPS), but the Moz Crawler encountered an error when trying to load the certificate. Our crawler is pretty standard, so it's likely that other browsers and crawlers may also encounter this error. If you have this error on your homepage, it prevents the Moz crawler (and some search engines) from crawling the rest of your site.

302 Status Code for .com but 200 Status Code for .com/
I ran a moz crawl report for one of my sites. For mywebsite.com I'm getting a 302 HTTP Status Code but for mywebsite.com/ I'm getting a 200 HTTP Status Code. mywebsite.com -Title tag "blank" - Meta Description "blank" - HTTP Status Code "302" - Referrer "blank" - Content Type Header "blank" - 301/302 target "/" - Rel-Canonical Target "blank" mywebsite.com/ - Title tag "correct tag" - Meta Description "correct tag" - HTTP Status Code "200" - Referrer "mysite.com" - Content Type Header "text/html" - 301/302 target "blank" - Rel-Canonical Target "mysite.com/" Will this cause any issues with the search engines? Is there a way to fix this? I'm on wordpress and use Yoast SEO premium plugin. I have sites ranking in many different niches and have done similar white hat SEO for all of my others. They are ranking in competitive niches but for some reason this site is in the 200-300s for basically all keywords in not a very competitive niche. It has excellent content, links and no penalties. I'm trying to find anything that could be the cause of this. Thanks! <colgroup><col width="64"></colgroup>

Is SeoMOZ Crawl Diagnostics wrong here?
We've been getting a ton of critical errors (about 80,000) in SeoMoz' Crawl Diagnostics saying we have duplicate content in our client's E-commerce site. Some of the errors are correct, but a lot of the pages are variations like: www.example.com/productlist?page=1 www.example.com/productlist?page=2 However, in our source code we have used rel="prev" and rel="next" so in my opinion we should be alright. Would love to hear from you if we have made a mistake or if it is an error in SeoMoz. Here's a full paste of the script:

Why is it that certain keywords in my seomoz report card are for the wrong urls
Hi Guys, why is it that seomoz's On Page Optimization Reports for Google TH are attributing certain keywords with certain urls which are wrong? What mean is an example keyword - 'chiang mai villas for rent' has been scored an F against my home page url rather than using our 'Chiang Mai' url, why is this, is there a coding issue on my site? Is it that seomoz is finding something on my home page to suggest I want it to rank for this keyword?

OSE shows 118 FB shares but we show more, whats wrong here?
I ran www.lauriloewenberg.com/ in OSE and it shows 118 Facebook shares while we see more than that. Maybe we are doing something wrong or a setting isn't correct, I'm not sure. The site was created in WordPress. Here are 3 posts that add up to 224 shares: Post 1 114 shares Post 2 64 shares Post 3 46 shares I'm sure there are some people that are sharing multiple posts, Will that make a difference? Even if that was true the number still seems very low. Thanks 🙂
