Please give me some ideas on my link building campaign

Hello everyone,
My website is on Pharmacy schools. I just sell leads to universities.
Well, I am unable to find sites which are related to my niche.
Can i get links from Unrelated sites like Health? and other educational sites (other than pharmacy)?
I can see all .edu and gov sites when i type in Google. Ofcourse, they wont sell any links to my low quality sites.
Help me out in finding those sites which sells advertising spots and 100% related to my niche

Thats really a good Idea.
I tried using this google query : "picking a career" "education"
but i am getting all very high authority sites. i know, they wont give me a link for just 150$ or 200$.
I did almost 100 emails to owners about link sponsorship. ONLY 2 guys replied. And each one is demanding 600$/ month LOL.
Steve, if you have little time, then please give me some google queries so that i can search them. Also, i am looking for links from middle class bloggers like my site.

What about sites that talk about picking a career, funding schooling, etc.?
Perhaps you might look at your competitors and see how they are linking to the universities?
Perhaps you could do some top notch articles on pharmacy schools and get some guest blogs on some better sites?

I agree here with Sanket, I don't think Health is totally unrelated. Perhaps heakth is too broad, but maybe health insurance or healthy life.
Take a look at your Google Analytics and see what people are typing in to find your site. That may give you a place to start. Also use Google Insights. Look at the bottom of this page: http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=pharmacy%20schools&cmpt=q Under "search Terms" IMHO these are related keywords.

Your site is related to pharmacy schools so it is batter to get back-links from educational sites and .edu sites. If you use health sites then might be possible that Google consider it as a unrelated but according to me it is not a totally irrelevant.

Hi Moz Community, I'm currently looking into hiring a link building company. I found one promising lead out of Boise, ID who only specializes in white hat link building tactics but unfortunately, I found some tainted reviews as well. Hi Mozzers, I work for an IT company specialising in outsourcing Cisco Engineers worldwide. Due to being involved heavily in outsourcing, I'm finding it impossible to generate genuine and organic links to our website. My question is that is it essential to have back links back to our website to achieve high search engine rankings? I'm unable to get clients and other partners to provide links as we're the outsourced company,but I can get backlinks from unrelated c ompanies. For example we're running a CSR initiative with a National Gym relating to health & fitness, also links from our web designers etc... Do these links have any type of value? I have a corporate client which has multiple franchises, therefore microsites (www.example.com/cityname) within their corporate website(www.example.com). I am trying to build some links for these microsites that are lot weaker than the corporate web page in terms of PA. We worked hard putting most of these locations into local directories such as Google places and yahoo local, but the ones on yahoo local are all pointing to www.example.com even when you search a specific city when it suppose to be www.example.com/cityname. So first thought is to edit all of the yahoo locals to the microsite webpages for every locations but then I thought that wasn't a good idea since I will split the juice passed to the corporate website www.example.com. The corporate website is really important and wouldn't want to weaken its PA. Can someone tell me what are my options in order to not hurt the corporate website and to improve ranking for these weak microsites? should I still edit those yahoo listings to the microsite website or not? if not what how will I be able to build more links? Thank you!!

Do you consider it risky to hire outside firms to build links?
Based on what happened to JC Penny do you think there is a significant risk of penalties if you have an outside firm build links for your site? For example they could buy some links and get caught or engage in black hat tactics without our knowledge. Is there anything that can be done to minimize any such risk?

Where do I find the best link building company?
Hi there, I'm trying to find an ethical, honest, link building company. We don't want links on shady forums, or comment spam, or any of that black hat nastyness!. I want links, on proper sites, and I'm prepared to pay for them accordingly. We're also more than happy to write/have written/ quality content that can be linked to. (We already pump out about 15 x 400+ word, optimised blogs weeks) We spend hours on the various social media sites also. So I think the only thing we're really missing now, is decent backlinks and possibly some more long tail keywords... Over to you guys. Paul.
