Dot Net Nuke generating long URL showing up as crawl errors!
-
Since early July a DotNetNuke site is generating long urls that are showing in campaigns as crawl errors: long url, duplicate content, duplicate page title.
URL: http://www.wakefieldpetvet.com/Home/tabid/223/ctl/SendPassword/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2F
Is this a problem with DNN or a nuance to be ignored? Can it be controlled?
Google webmaster tools shows no crawl errors like this.

If at all possible use IIS URL Rewriter so that you can canonicalize your site structure.
http://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/url-rewrite
If you have a smaller site, and it's in the early stages I'd try using other CMSs and software to see if you can find something that you like. I love Wordpress, and I use it for everything.

Are all of the problematic URLs variations of the SendPassword page? Otherwise, if you are getting long URLs for other pages, just make sure you are using rel=canonical tags to tell the search engines the correct URL to use for each page.

Difference between urls and referring urls?
Sorry, nit new to this side of SEO We recently discovered we have over 200 critical crawler issues on our site (mainly 4xx) We exported the CSV and it shows both a URL link and a referring URL. Both lead to a 'page not found' so I have two questions? What is the difference between a URL and a referring URL? What is the best practice/how do we fix this issue? Is it one for our web developer? Appreciate the help.

Crawl Diagnostics - unexpected results
I received my first Crawl Diagnostics report last night on my dynamic ecommerce site. It showed errors on generated URLs which simply are not produced anywhere when running on my live site. Only when running on my local development server. It appears that the Crawler doesn't think that it's running on the live site. For example http://www.nordichouse.co.uk/candlestick-centrepiece-p-1140.html will go to a Product Not Found page, and therefore Duplicate Content errors are produced. Running http://www.nhlocal.co.uk/candlestick-centrepiece-p-1140.html produces the correct product page and not a Product Not Found page Any thoughts?

SEOMoz Crawling Only 1 Page
I entered a new site into my dashboard 2 days ago - everything looked kosher, there were a few hundred pages crawled and a whole bunch of errors. I came back this morning to start work on the site and SEOMoz has crawled the site again, this time returning only 1 page and 0 errors. I haven't even logged in to the site since the first crawl, so I couldn't have broken anything. Has anyone seen this before?

Moz crawling
Hi Everyone! I'm new to the SEOMoz and wanted to find out if there is a way to decrease the waiting time for the campaign crawl. I have made a lot of changes based on the first crawl and would like to see how these are reflected on the reports, but can't until the next crawl is performed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
