Has the relevancy of SEOmoz tools disappeared?
-
I have A rankings for my on-site grades for my most important keywords.
I have no Critical issues and no Warnings with my Crawl Diagnostics.
Most of the Competiive Link analysis data shows my site beating out the competition.
If all this is accurate, how can my SERPs continue to decrease and lesser pages with terrible optimization and backlinking be ranking higher? I even have a facebook page beating me in the results.
If there is nothing left for me to address using SEOmoz, and I keep getting worse & results, doesn't it mean that the SEOmoz tools are not relevant to producing actual results?
Or, am I missing something?

Thank you for your response.
I use Alexa audits, Bing and Google webmaster, Google Analytics and SEOBOOK.
While I found the reports in SEOmoz great to use as a roadmap of items to address to improve my optimization, the actual results never materialized., much to my frustration.
I will check into the other tools you stated to see if I can find any additional help there.
Thanks!

While I have found SEOMoz tools to be invaluable for tracking results and providing reports to my CEO, I don't rely solely on SEOMoz for everything I need to optimize the sites I manage. Google Analytics data, reports and tracking are a crucial part of the whole picture.
Have you been tracking your visitor engagement and looking at bounce rate, time on page, depth of site visits, etc? There may be an issue there.
I also use SEMRush, Google Webmaster Tools, Ahrefs, Rank Checker, and the SEOQuake Toolbar to help me look at many different things.
Every site is different. E-commerce sites will have specific problems that blog sites don't have, and vice versa.
I think SEOMoz tools are exceptional, but I think even Mozzers would agree that they are not meant as a stand alone, all-in-one, never need anything else kind of tool. It works best when used in combination with the other great tools that are out there.
Hope that's helpful!

What SEO Tools Do You Use?
Things changed a bit for me when Raven Stopped using google and SemRush data and I haven't exactly found a solution I'm happy with so Just wanted to use what people use alongside SEOMoz, or what they use instead of certain parts of SEOMoz. Before I was using Raven Tools, Screaming Frog SEO Crawler but currently I'm using Screaming Frog SEO Crawler, SEOMoz (trial), and SerpIQ (trial).

I am experimenting with Raven Tools and have a question
Since I am an in-house SEO I'm a little slower to adopt some of the paid tools out there, but I am thinking of jumping in and opting for the paid version of Raven Tools. Can anyone who's currently using Raven Tools suggest how and where is the best place to export backlinks info for import into the Link Manager? I want something that will give me as much of the data as possible already filled in (i.e. PR, domain authority, anchor text, follow/no follow information etc.). I don't mind if I have to rearrange it, I just don't want to have to be inputting things like PR and anchor text one at a time by hand. I do have SEOMoz pro and I see that I can pull a CSV of backlinks and do two separate reports, one for followed and one for not followed links, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has any additional suggestions. How about Ahrefs.com? Is anyone using the paid version of that tool in conjunction with Raven Tools for Link Management? Is there a better tool out there for Link Management than Raven Tools? (I just found this link in a Q & A thread for an open source SEO panel to try...http://www.seopanel.in/ - anyone using that one?) Thanks all!

SEOmoz Crawl CSV in Excel: already split by semicolon. Is this Excel's fault or SEOmoz's?
If for example a page title contains a ë the .csv created by the SEOmoz Crawl Test is already split into columns on that point, even though I haven't used Excel's text to columns yet. When I try to do the latter, Excel warns me that I'm overwriting non-empty cells, which of course is something I would rather not do since that would make me lose valuable data. My question is: is this something caused by opening the .csv in Excel, or earlier in the process when this .csv is created?

Help with SEOmoz API
Hi guys, I'm trying to make API requests from my webserver via PHP. I'd like to retrieve data from the SEOmoz URL Metrics API. Unfortunately I always get the error response "unauthorized" even when I copy and paste the Sample Valid API Signature generated by your system into the browser. Is Signed Authentication not longer supported? I even tried the sample PHP Code SignedAuth.php but there's the same problem, too. If signed authentication is not longer available, do you have a code example for the basic http authorization? Thanks, Brandon
