Can I creat a goal on G.A. ?
I found this video: https://getsatisfaction.com/mindbody/topics/chalk_talk_how_to_setup_google_analytics
Is this the right way to do this?
About goals, a simple goal I would like to create is, one purchase. Can I acheive that?
Not shure about Goals. When I test and purchase, URL is always the same

Thank you,

The way you have it set up, youll only see referrer traffic from your old site. So you can see how many people came from your site, and ended up converting. Youll never know precisely what source those visits originated from using this method.
Technically in Analytics you can track cross domain, but if you aren't an expert you would probably need to hire one. Basically you tell Google to track both domains, and site A needs to be able to transfer cookie data to site B. You would then set up a custom filter that shows URI so that you know what domain is what when looking at landing pages in Analytics. Its probably better explained in Analytics devguides here.
Gets tough to trouble shoot cross domain tracking. But when it works its great for 3rd party carts etc. Good luck!

Hi Jared,
Thank you for the tips.
Is there a way to track ''Traffic Source''? On my site I have it, but in mindbody, I only see our site Referral.
Thank you,
BigBlaze

Yes this is exactly how you do it:
https://getsatisfaction.com/mindbody/topics/chalk_talk_how_to_setup_google_analytics
Basically all you are doing here is creating an analytics profile, and then entering your user account ID from analytics into the Mind & Body back-end (and Mind body does the rest.
Once that is setup properly and working, you can go to analytics, open the profile you created and then choose 'Ecommerce' to see your sales stats.
You should also create another profile, on the same analytics account, for the WP site. Then you can see how many visits you have there, or how many visits to the plan and pricing page, and can compare it (though not in the same window because they are two different profiles) to the sales data you see in your Mind Body profile.
You can't create a goal to see, for instance, how many people landed on page x, clicked button x, and then converted into a sale, because the site is spread across two domains, but you can still track sales. The Ecommerce section in Analytics will also show you conversion rate, abandonment etc once your visitors are referred to your Mind Body page.

I don't think you'll be able to track your sales on GA because you need to have a landing page set as your goal/conversion page.
On my old sites where I had to forward to a 3rd party page, I would set up my goal page as the last page on my site. Obviously that wasn't the best indicator due to cart abandonment, but it gave me an idea of how many people were actually making it to at least that page.

Ecommerce, Product Content & Google Metrics
Hi I know Google has many different variations of what they consider to be thin content. I wondered if anyone has an idea of the best metric to determine what content you need to improve on your site? I work on a large e-commerce site so there are a thousands of product pages - all with product descriptions similar [but not duplicate] to competitors. I guess in terms of quantity, these pages don't have huge amounts of written content, so I'm wondering what Google classes as 'thin' on a product page: 1. Does Google just expect a conversion to deem that product page useful? And if not, what's the best metric to identify what works vs. what doesn't on product pages in Google's eyes. 2. If adding lots of product pages on mass is bad and will decrease overall authority? The content isn't duplicate, but may be fairly similar to other sites selling the same thing. I'm trying to get our reviews added directly to product pages rather than in a pop up to improve the unique content and I'm starting to write guides, FAQ's and I'll work towards getting video started - however, I'm the only SEO & we don't have much resource so this all takes time. If anyone else has any advice on steps to take that would be great 🙂

Funnel Problem in Google Analytics - Please help
Hello, I did set up a several funnel steps in my analytics account to get the funnel visualization report. But it's look fishy, something's clearly wrong that it shows only 10 visitors at the first step but actually more than 5k visitors has visited first goal page and followed through the another all steps. Everyday we are receiving 5k to 10k goal conversions but it not showing in the entire funnel steps through first step to last step. Please see the attached screenshot URL for funnel setup (Admin) and funnel visualization report comparing last two months traffic. Total goal conversions received 3,605 in last two months but in funnel chart (report) it showing only 2% conversions in last step. Anybody can tell me what is the problem with that or analytics not tracking properly?si65Y

Google Shopping tracking as organic traffic - help!
Hey guys, I have an eCommerce client who sometimes runs Google PLA and Google Shopping campaigns. However, we don't run his AdWords for him, just do his SEO. At the moment, the Shopping campaigns track as organic traffic within Analytics. And I can't see any way to change this! It's so infuriating. How do I change this? Thanks!

Registration tracking with Google Analytics
Hi everyone, I want to track user registrations with Google Analytics for a customer's website. The thing is after registration visitors are not directed to a specific page, so I can't set it as a goal. I thought of tracking submit button with event tracking, but that data would not be true as a visitor may click it more than once, and there's the login with facebook and twitter thing. Before convincig customer to create a registration confirmation page, I want to make sure there's no other way as they don't want to make any changes to the current website. Any ideas?

How to track what people type on my text boxes on Google Analytics?
Hi there! In our website, we have a few text boxes that users need to use to complete the goal. The boxes aren't search boxes, but it's still important to us to track what people type on it. I'm looking for a way to track the data through the "event" feature in Google Analytics, but it seems that this tracker can only calculate clicks, or video views etc. Does anyone knows how to track do it?

No Link Data Available for this URL appears often. Are my sites too small to show up?
I am on the trial until Mar 5, 2012. I seldom get the info I want. Is it because my sites are too narrow a niche? I don't seem to be getting the data I'd like from your service. I'm trying to like it, but when I keep getting messages like this, it makes it hard to justify: "No Link Data Available for this URL appears often" Sample sites that I am unable to get data. I especially would like to know how many backlinks exist for each site. I paid someone to help me with them and I'd like to verify their work.: http://costaricadentistreview.com/ http://costaricadentistreviews.com/ http://costaricadentalimplants.org Any suggestions? Overall site traffic - 3 quick questions
3 things : 1. Does Google factor in overall site traffic in rankings? So for 2 sites, all other things being pretty much equal, the one with higher traffic will be listed higher? 2. Does this logically imply that sites with lower traffic overall face an uphill struggle to be ranked highly??? 3. As an extension to this, would it be true to say that by increasing site traffic, say with Google Adwords or other online or offiline or whatever advertising, that might help get higher SEO rankings??? Thanks so much for your responses. This forum is great!
