Mission Possible? You have 3 hours to do Local SEO. Which top 5 sites do you go Social Bookmark, Local Search Engine Submit and Directory List.

Mission Possible? Here is a test. Suppose you had 3 hours (okay 7) to go and submit links, etc, on Social Bookmarking, Local Search Engines and Directories, which top 5 or more of each would you do? (Assuming your on-page is already sweetened).
I just got 2 more clients and I need to get started on a few things for each.
Thankful for all your advice.............

Well, you can start with authenticating your site in Google and Bing, then going to brightlocal.com / whitespark.ca , tw/g+/fb/li and social bookmarking sites (5-10 tops).
Web directories take a lot of time to get into but do try odp/joeant/botw and then aim for local directories + links from your customers' connections.
Do you need a list of sites or just some pointers?

Without knowing your client's industry, generally speaking If I had 3 hours to work on Local SEO, I would split it up between Google+/G+ Local and Yelp. If I had any time left over, I would try to make connections with reporters from local news websites.

Patch.com is a good start (even commenting on related posts)

How many started to hum the mission impossible theme as you were reading this post?

I would not do social bookmarks or search engine submissions.
I would:
- search for a few good quality industry or local directories to submit to
- try to get links from vendors, local businesses, etc. the client has a relationship with

SEO implications of off-site secure Donation page
Hi Mozzers, I have a non-profit client that defends wildlife and public lands in the western US. The huge website is currently not responsive so we are working on that. In the meantime, we will be making the Action pages (such as Donations, Sign Petition, Get Newsletter) pages responsive. This will be housed under a new domain. My question is, what are SEO best practices for doing this? Does it negatively impact SEO to have a visitor "booted" from a site to a second secure site? Does Google know that the Donation site is in fact fulfillment and is linked to the original site? Also, what about domain implications? Is it best to have the name of the non-profit in the domain or sub, like this: https://saveanimals.secure.com/donate? Thanks everyone!

Search engine simulators are not finding text on my website. Do I have a problem with Javascript or AJAX?
My website text is not appearing in search engine simulators. Is there a problem with the javascript? Or perhaps AJAX is affecting it? Is there a tool I can use to examine how my website architecture is affecting how the site is crawled? I am totally lost. Help!

Merging Domains... Sub-domains, Directories or Seperate Sites?
Hello! I am hoping you can help me decide the best path to take here... A little background: I'm moving to a new company that has three old domains (the oldest is 10 years old), which get a lot of traffic from their e-letters. Until recently they have not cared about SEO. So the websites have some structural, coding, URL and other issues. The sites are indexed, but have a problem getting crawled and/or indexed for new content - haven't delved into this yet but am certain I will be able to fix any of these issues. These three domains are PR4, PR4, PR5 and contain hundreds of unique articles. Here's the question... They want to move these three sites **to their main company site (PR4) and create sub domains for each one. ** I am wondering if this is a good idea or not. I have merged sites before (creating categories and/or directories) and the end result is that the ONE big site, is much for effective than TWO smaller, less authoritative sites. But the sub domain idea is something I am unsure about from an SEO perspective. Should we do this with sub domains? Or do you think we should keep the sites separate? How do Panda and Penguin play into this? Thanks in advance for the help! SD P.S. I'm not a huge advocate in using PR as a measurement tool, but since I can't reveal the actual domains, I figured I would list it as a reference point.

Local SEO for franchises
I have a client who franchises an ice cream shop. It started in Utah and there are several stores there. They are ranking well for local searches based in Utah. Now they have opened a store in Federal Way, WA. How can I get the new location to rank for local keywords on the same website?

Local Searches done from outside of local area better than searches from within local area
Here's a strange one: I am working on a site for a local business and targeting local searches. The names have been changed to protect the innocent. Various keyword position tools show the site ranking very well for searches like "Anytown Widget Store". Doing the same Google search from a browser in Anytown, the site shows up much lower. So I tried changing the location in Google to other cities, using a variety of browsers and it comes up much higher out of town than in town. I have seen plenty of geographic discrepancies before, but usually they went the other way - searches from the actual local area did slightly better than the same searches done elsewhere, which would make sense. Any thoughts on why this would happen?
