Analytics: How to see how many uniques viewed over X amount of pages in period
-
Hey guys, anyone any idea how to do the following in google analytics? I need a little help, I am looking at my traffic for a given month, I can see how many unique users visit over X amount of times, but can instead of visits, can I see how many unique users I had that looked at X amount of pages or more? Appreciate all help!!

Thanks again runnerkik,
I have added your custom report and tried to set up the advance segment, however, I appear to have something wrong as it is returning 0 data. Please take a look at the attached screenshot...

Yeah, I'm afraid this isn't something you'll be able to just view with a default GA installation.
With some custom code and server side logic, it's certainly possible. The modifications mentioned above would be a great place to start.

any ideas anyone?

Doesn't page depth only tell me the amount of pages viewed 'per visit'?
I want to find out how how many unique users have viewed over 10 pages in 1 month, not one visit.

No problem. Were you able to add that custom report and then set up the advanced segments? The advanced segments for 10 plus pages would be page depth > 10 as a regex versus the 1 through 9 which you would say exact match when you set up the segment.
As far as unique users - the most unique is going to be visitors. Here is a great article that discusses exactly how unique you will get.

Hi runnerkik,
wow, thanks for taking the time to post this.
No they are not logged on. I want to know how many 'unique' users (as google describes unique) view more than 10 pages on my site in a month.

Hi MirandaP, so I guess to answer your question I have a question for you. In terms of unique users, when you say user is that person logged in some how? The reason I am asking is because you can use custom variables to track logged in and logged out users. This will require custom js code. Here is a video.

If you are talking about getting more unique that visits you can use visitors.
Here is a video explaining the difference.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpeL6WGlvEI
So, a visitor has a cookie, and a visitor cookie keeps track of a timestamp, so one visitor can have multiple visits, and page views.
So in order to answer your question, you would need to create a custom report.
After you create your custom report you need to create an advanced segment. You could do 5 advanced segments, using page depth = 1, page depth = 2 and so on.
Here I created a custom report for you to help you get started.

GA Landing Page Inaccuracies
I had seen a thread on this a while back but no solution posted. There was a link posted to someone else explaining the issue but I got a 404 when clicking. Have a client that does mostly PPC and they are getting their conversion page showing up as landing page from paid many times. This is definitely not a sitelink, etc. The only way you get to this page is if you filled out the form. There are a few other pages showing up as landing pages that don't make sense too. Can this be attributed to someone being "inactive" for 30 minutes and then coming back and performing an action on this page (leaving)? If so, does this double count the conversion if a page visit here is a conversion? Just trying to make sense of the landing page report showing so many instances of our conversion page. Thanks in advance!

How long before links are found in analytics?
I'm new to website building and have recently set up some links by submitting my website in directories and have also got some people in the same industry to link to my website. But they aren't being found in moz analytics. Does it take time or should they be getting found?

How do you adjust the Google Analytics date range?
Hello! Every time I log into Google Analytics (via desktop), the date range is set to October 1, 2013 to October 28, 2013. I've looked throughout the GA settings to find a place where I change this default setting to anything else ("Last week?") but have not be able to find where that setting is. Can you help? Losing my mind,

Google Analytics Goal Tracking Not Working
I am trying to install goal tracking for a client to measure leads from SEO, and I'm running into problems with the Google Analytics goal tracking not working. The only thing that I can think of that is preventing goal tracking from working is that the URL confirming page request URI looks like "contact/#contact-form-4475" and perhaps the hashtag is causing problems. I wanted to ask the community if any of you have run into basic conversion tracking problems like this, where you need to track form fills on a website via a confirmation URL/destination URL goal, and what you did to solve it? I appreciate any input on how to get data on conversions either by fixing the goal in GA or using a different tracking tool. Thanks!

Why did my home page fall off of google rankings?
My home page at www.smt-associates.com has been ranked well for various key word phrases for years. I've tried to optimize it for the search "Crystal Lake CPA Firm" and it always had ranked number 1-2. Now it doesn't even rank in the top 5 pages (actually I don't know which page it falls on). I did an on-page report card and it has an A rating. So, what is preventing Google from ranking my home page on page 1? There's not that much competition so this should be an easy ranking for me. I don't know how ling this has not been listed, but I did modify my site about 12-18 months ago with a new WP theme. Could the theme be the problem?

Need a tool for finding new links from analytics
I'd like to get a weekly report of all of the brand new referral links that have come in to my site over the last week. Is this something that can be done in google analytics? Is there a better tool for this out there? Thanks in advance
