Looking for live website examples of google adsense since panda update
-
Hi, i am looking for some live websites that use google adsense who have changed their layout since the panda update
If anyone can please point me in the right direction so i can see good examples of how sites have now changed their google adsense layout so we can learn from this, then that would be great
regards
-
would love to pm you and learn more about going direct to advertisers instead of affliate sites.so where the column is, where the related items is, i should remove that.
when i remove the 2 column it means i only have one google adsense on the page, would you put the google adsense anywhere else on the page
-
Maybe you can remove the middle column and keep it at 2 columns, so it's not as overwhelming?
Getting advertisers isn't that difficult. Look at the people who are paying for ads on adsense or who are advertising on your competitors' sites and offer them a good deal for the amount of traffic you can drive them. The more tech-savvy merchants may also have affiliate accounts set up, where you can just sign up on their site to be an affiliate and make commissions from every sale you make.

The trouble i have with advertising is, i am rubbish at selling, there we go, i have held my hands up, i cannot sell. This has always been my biggest problem. That is why i have turned to google adsense to try and earn money this way but my returns are low.
I have spent the last 24 hours trying to find the best advertising layout. I do not want to overcome the reader with advertising, i want to earn the money with the advertising but at the same time i want it to be user friendly and more about the user experience.
seeing this layout, would it put you off from reading what is on the page or coming back to the site.

Adsense is bottom-of-the-barrel as far as online advertising is concerned. If you want to see greater ROI, you want to work directly with your advertisers instead of having Google as a middleman.
Seeing as this is a lifestyle site, there are plenty of merchants you could be working with from travel, clothing, food, weightloss, books, etc.

I am a bit worried that it does not look professional and the adverts are to much in your face. the return on the clicks is low on this new layout, so was thinking of changing the layout now to try something different.
-
Looks good to me, at least from an SEO perspective.

just researching your link now, was hoping to find sites that are not big companies to see how they are getting on since the panda update.
I have been plaing around with my google adsense for a few months now, changing the layout all the time, trying to find one that works for me. just about to make another change today.
can you let me know what you think of this layout that i have been using for a few weeks
many thanks

I am very confident that you can have two ads above the fold and not have a problem with Panda. I think that Panda is more about content problems than it is with ad problems.
I own and know of lots of sites that have a leaderboard above the content and either a skyscraper or large rectangle above the fold and beside the content.
So, if you are not slappin' the visitor's face with the ads I think you will be fine.

This is a good article on adsense layouts with some examples:
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/guide-to-ads
Bottom line, you want to keep your above the fold ads to a minimum and make sure that your content-to-ad ratio is high.

I disappeared from Google, but not Bing?
A few weeks ago the company I work for created a website called Nabceptraining.com in hopes to find clientele who are looking to become NABCEP Certified. So we installed WordPress and a nice looking theme that we edited, and we saw that without any real content on the page we were already rank 12 on Google! We never even submitted our site. So we decided to Search Engine Optimize our website to gain even better rankings. So on the first day we added an SEO Tool that would allow us to change the page titles and descriptions on our site, a Sitemap generation tool so we could submit the site to Google, Bing, and Yahoo. At the end of the day we submitted the site and was beginning to create our content. That next morning our ranking was gone and we were not to be found on Google, but we were rank 3 on Bing!? What happened? Why did we disappear? We didn't receive any messages from Google on the webmaster tools saying we were blacklisted. Does anyone have an idea?

Website Redirects
Background information: We have a website (devicelock.com) which is currently our corporate website. The company use to operate under (ntutility.com) which is now being redirected to devicelock.com via a DNS Forward - 302 Redirect. The IT admin (a founder of the company) is reluctant to change it to a 301. The current flow is ntutility.com redirects to protect-me.com then redirects again to devicelock.com. When i search up Devicelock on google, it shows up as ntutlity.com. There is no devicelock.com homepage on google search. Question: Are there any negative implications about this? Is this hurting our SEO in any way? When i do link building, will this have any negative affects? Will my links for devicelock be attributed to devicelock.com?

Does Google index has expiration?
Hi, I have this in mind and I think you can help me. Suppose that I have a pagin something like this: www.mysite.com/politics where I have a list of the current month news. Great, everytime the bot check this url, index the links that are there. What happens next month, all that link are not visible anymore by the user unless he search in a search box or google. Does google keep those links? The current month google check that those links are there, but next month are not, but they are alive. So, my question is, Does google keep this links for ever if they are alive but nowhere in the site (the bot not find them anymore but they work)? Thanks

What the Panda are we doing wrong?
Starting at June 8 of this year (the exact date of the Panda 3.7 update) the organic search engine traffic to our website dropped by about 30%. We're talking about a fairly new domain (about 8 months old) that has (or at least is suppost to have) pearly white SEO, and no outside parties have ever done any SEO for it. Organic search traffic was very stable in the weeks prior to June 8. Organic search visits have dropped pretty much across the board (due to dropped ranking at the SERPS, as reported by our SEOmoz campaign). The (not provided) keyword has dropped 25%, while traffic from keywords related to our core products (joomla templates) have dropped almost 50%. Knowing that June 8 saw a Panda update, I dug up some of the old Panda posts (never thought I'd need those for one of my own sites) to see what factors trigger a Panda hit. Based on the factors mentioned in this article at SEW, I'll briefly discuss what is going on at our website. Affiliate links and ad units Not a single affiliate link or ad unit can be found on our website. Low-quality or thin content Only 163 URLs from the www subdomain have been submitted in our sitemap, of which 152 are indexed. About 25 of those pages (the individual questions on our FAQ page) could in my opinion be characterized as 'thin content' pages. Canonicalization Every single page on our www subdomain has a rel="canonical". Given that the demo subdomain is based on Joomla, we have less control over those pages (and there will probably be some duplicate content issues there), but nothing more than any clean Joomla website would have. Site speed Our www subdomain receives a near-perfect 97/100 on YSlow, the demo subdomain scores a 83/100. Quality In the past months several popular resources (blogs, infographics) have been released that were well linked to by other (significant) players in our niche. Social signals Our site received about 25 +1's, several dozen (or more) tweets and a few Facebook Likes. Search result pages We don't have those. Questions: Can anybody spot potentially Panda-triggering issues on our website? I'm aware that our link profile isn't perfect (not very bad either), but to my knowledge Panda was/is an on-page driven algorithm update, right? We're also running a demo subdomain (click 'demo' in the menu), hosting there five full Joomla installations to showcase our products (just like virtually all other template providers do). This subdomain seems to also have taken a hit, but less than the www subdomain (about 15% decrease in organic search visits). Is it possible that the demo subdomain has triggered this issue (and if so, what changes would you advice)? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Adding Google + to SEOmoz
I wanted to add my google + signature to every post I make on SEOmoz and I think every user should do the same... Two reasons why... Google helps our existence so we should help theirs. If someone likes what I wrote or vice versa we should be able to follow each other in a simple click. In my opinion all blogs forum posts etc... should Lead to a user not a website, this will prevent spam and help people network. In other words blog spammers and forum spammers will be SOL (Which they all ready are lol).

Google not visiting my site
Hi my site www.in2town.co.uk which is a lifestyle magazine has gone under a major refit. I am still working on it but it should be ready by the end of this week or sooner but one problem i have is, google is not visiting the site. I took a huge gamble to redo the site, even though before the refit i was getting a few thousand visitors a day, i wanted to make the site better as i was getting google webmaster errors. But now it seems google is not visiting the site. for example i am using sh404sef and i have put friendly url in the site and on the home page it has its name and meta tag but when you look at google it is not giving the site a name. Also it has not visited the site since october 13th Can anyone advise how to encourage google to visit the site please.

How to disallow google and roger?
Hey Guys and girls, i have a question, i want to disallow all robots from accessing a certain root link: Get rid of bots User-agent: * Disallow: /index.php?_a=login&redir=/index.php?_a=tellafriend%26productId=* Will this make the bots not to access any web link that has the prefix you see before the asterisk? And at least google and roger will get away by reading "user-agent: *"? I know this isn't the standard proceedure but if it works for google and seomoz bot we are good.
