Does Channeladvisor really assist in SEO?
-
I'm getting emails from Channeladvisor recommending I join, thereby taking advantage of a change to Google Shopping.
It is starting in Australia from today (13Feb13).
Is it an upgraded version of Google Adwords, or another form of a Commerce Merchant (obviously with multiple channels,e.g. Ebay, Amazon etc)?
With Adwords, I found it too expensive for the type of product we sell (printer cartridges).
But the real question is, DO MY RANKINGS DROP FROM NOT USING CHANNEL ADVISOR?
-
Hi Anthony
I just wondered if you had started to use Channel Advisor as we have recently been approached by them too.
In particular using their platform for feeding into shopping comparison sites.
Thanks

Does anyone have any clues as to Channel Advisor and if by not taking it up, it can hinder your SERP's

Does it hurt SEO to build landing pages in HubSpot instead of directly in Word Press?
Our team's website is built in Word Press, but we use Hub Spot as our CRM. We are trying to determine if building landing pages in Hub Spot is going to hurt our SEO efforts and if it's better to build directly on Word Press.

301 or Keep 2 Chocolate Best Sellers SEO?
Hi All, So we have two best selling organic chocolates that are very similar. http://www.santabarbarachocolate.com/bulk-organic-dark-chocolate-72-without-soy-lecithin/ and http://www.santabarbarachocolate.com/bulk-organic-dark-chocolate-72-without-soy-lecithin/ Because we are a small company it would be ideal to offer only one of these chocolates due to the cost of making it from the raw cacao. This is the question: From a SEO page rank perspective, do we get better rank by 301 redirecting one chocolate to the other thereby generating more traffic through traffic consolidation to one chocolate. Or do we get better SEO rank by having two chocolates on the site that both get clicks with different content? Basically it is a question of divided forces. Thanks for your help, Jason

Hi all - I've had a comb through the forums here but can't seem to find any updates on whether there any tangible benefits for using Google Site Search. We're currently exploring using Lucene, Oracle Endeca, & Google Site Search - but from what I've read so far there are no quantifiable benefits for choose Google over any others. Everything I've read is rumor-mill...anybody have experience or references? Thanks in advance!

Image heavy pages: Google friendly fonts / seo text etc
Hi Google friendly fonts - are these in wide use now, do they work ? If you have image heavy site do they work just as well as using what we used to call 'seo text'. I have heard that 'seo text' not really used anymore or at least rebranded to 'helpful, informative paragraph or two of body copy about the page with a couple of the pages target keywords in it'. I take it if fonts in image not google friendly then should still ask dev for some space to fit in a para or two of some proper body copy, with couple of pages target kw in it ? Also looking like if i succeed in this request will be below the fold, how hard should i fight for it to be above the fold ? cheers dan

Local on-page SEO
If it feels like you are doing something wrong, then you 'probably' are... Local on-page SEO When optimising a page for local SEO, and trying tick all the usuals boxes, you find yourself adding words like 'golf clubs leeds' which sounds awful when part of a natural paragraph of text. Does Google recognise this poor use of grammar? We try to be as creative as possible, as not to offend the visitor, but it feels wrong... any advice? Thanks
