Domain_to_domain api call syntax
-
I am trying to construct an api call that lists the top authority link from each domain.
This page_to_page call works
This domain_to_domain does not
I'm plum out of ideas why? Anyone know?
The Idea output is the single highest authority link for all linking domains
thanks!

Hey Brian,
Thanks for the question. I first want to show you our API developer forum which is your best resource for API support right now.
https://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293196-Developer-Discussion-Group
Second, to answer your question, you'll need to make sure you are including both a scope AND a sort in your domain_to_domain calls. It should be formatted more like this:
I hope that helps. I'll see you in the API forum.
Cheers,
Joel.

Thoughts on scraping SERPs and APIs
I'm perplexed about a couple of things. Google says that scraping keyword rankings is against their policy from what I've read. Bummer. We comprise a lot of reports and manual finding and entry was a pain. Enter Moz! We still manually check and compare, but it's nice having that tool. I'm confused now though about practices and getting SERPs in an automated way. Here are my questions Is it against policy to get SERPs from an automated method? If that is the case, isn't Moz breaking this policy with it's awesome keyword tracker? If it's not, and we wanted to grab that kind of data, how would we do it? Right now, Moz's API doesn't offer this data. I thought Raven Tools at one point offered this, but they don't now from what I've read. Are there any APIs out there that we can grab this data and do what we want with it? (let's day build our own dashboard)? Thanks for any clarification and input!

Learn SEOmoz API (and more)?
I'm sorry for this very basic question. The reason why I'm asking is that I wan't to start to use SEOmoz API (and later on Majestic SEO etc.) I have search on the web about API in general, SEOmoz specifically, in Q&A and asked around but:

I really can't get my head around what "set of skills" I need to know to be able use the SEOmoz API? And other APIs for that reason. Do I need a programming skills, or just knowledge how each specific API works(+ common sense)? Or both? I'm sorry if this is off topic but the main reason why I'm asking is that I wan't to start to use the SEOmoz API. If you could provide a link or two about where I can start to learn about how this works, I would really appreciate that!0 -
Using api to find likes, tweets and shares
Hi all, I have a question regarding using the API to get data on a list of urls and not one by one. I am not a developer so I might not grasp the API so well. Basically I have a list of urls, what I need from each is the following information: <colgroup><col width="98"><col width="89"><col width="92"><col width="111"><col width="99"><col width="50"><col width="64"></colgroup>

| Page authority | linking root domains | total links | Facebook Shares | Facebook likes | tweets | Google+1's | I found a google doc that gives me SOME of the data but not all (also it might be old as it uses the linkscape call (I dont know if thats changed)) Any idea how I can tune my googledoc spreadsheet to include the additional metrics? Thanks 🙂0 -
Loss of Google AdWords API
Since August, we've had intermittent access to the Google Adwords API. Like others in this space, they've let us know that our access has been revoked. We've been working to restore this access, but unfortunately, we have not been able to do so. In the meantime we are working hard to find a suitable replacement that is both stable and a good fit for our customers’ needs. We wanted to let our PRO members know, first to apologize, and second to explain how this has impacted your PRO access. We understand how important it is to have all your keyword data in one place, and we're sorry for any disruptions you've experienced from not having this data source in our app.We do want to clarify that this change does not affect your data from Google Analytics. The products affected by this change are our **Keyword Analysis tool and the keyword details and **keyword analysis pages within our web app. We removed this keyword query volume data within PRO a little earlier this year. You can still generate reports, but the metrics previously pulled from the Google Adwords data source is no longer there. The good news is, we don't actually use the Google AdWords data in our calculation of keyword difficulty, so these reports are still 100% accurate—they're just missing the information we usually pull from the API, which you can find on the Google AdWords Keyword Tool here. We're so sorry about this, and understand how frustrating the loss of this data is. We're hoping to have an alternative data source soon, and we will keep you posted as we make progress. Please feel free to comment, ask questions, and get help by replying to this post. Thank you!

Why does Linkscap API request hang while extracting data ?
Hi, I am using LinkScape API to get follow and nofollow links . I use cron to get data for each url of sitemap.xml. However while cron is running, the extraction of data hangs on some pages which i later need to delete manually for re starting the execution. Do anyone have any idea why this is happening ? How can i ignore such pages ?

Which Google API do you use to creat a rank checking tool?
I can't seem to work this one out. Basically I want to make a very simple rank checker tool something similar to http://www.mikes-marketing-tools.com/ranking-reports/ where a user simply type in a domain and a keyword and in return is shown the position within the results. The problem is I can’t work out which API's I need in order to build it, does anyone know what I need to poke about with? It must work with Google and ideally with Bing and the rest

API returns only 3 results
Hi all, I'm using the links seomoz API, and it's working great for me, except it only appears to return 3 results. Seems to only return 3 results on the anchor text api also. Is there something basic I'm not doing to get more results? Thanks!
