I am creating a new website that is not currently indexed. Is there any software I can use that will show meta tags and broken links with the site not being indexed?

Qnother vote for Screaming Frog - this kind of task is exactly what it's designed for.
If your site's over 500 pages, you'll need the paid version - very much worth it as it can do lots of additional things too. For example, the paid version will allow to check to ensure your Google Analytics is installed on every page before launch as well.

If you scan with Screaming Frog, you can easily find missing meta tags, titles, broken links and more.
It is what we used prior to going live with our website and it was a life/time saver!
And here is a guide done by SEER Interactive that illustrates all of the different things you can accomplish with this tool.

Can someone explain to me why OSE shows two different numbers for Linking Root Domains in the header and in the results area?

Crawl Diagnostics shows two title and meta tag errors but they are false positives.
I got one hit each on "Missing Meta Description Tag" and "Title Missing or Empty" but in the source of my page they are clearly there: <title>Protein Powder | Compare and Get the Best Prices</title> <meta name="keywords" content="protein powder, whey protein, protein supplement, whey protein isolate, hydrolyzed whey" /> I understand there are conventions which may or may not be followed by Drupal (I read an earlier question where ordering and W3C conventions were suggested) but i'm not sure how to fix them given Drupal will just overwrite any hand editing the next time something is built and importantly, I can't get the crawl to work on cue - it works on the automatic once a week crawl in the main campaign summary but every time I've specifically used the Crawl Test tool it gives me a "There was an error submitting your request to the crawler. Please try again later" so I can't really test any changes. Given Google seems to be recognising the title tag - ie showing it in the results - Do I put this down as seomoz just not working? How come there are no links to my website according to SEOmoz Competive domain analysis, while in google webmaster i do see links.?
I dont see any links to at all when i do a Competitive Domain Analysis in SEOmoz. However i do see links in google webmaster tools. this strikes me as odd. Also when i use open site exployer my website dont seem te be found. In google im on page 9 on my focus keyword so i do think there are links to my site. Internal links not showing in Open Site Explorer
So I'm working on a law firm site and looking at the links for pages in OSE. For practice areas, the links to each practice area are in the left hand menu on every page of the site. Can anyone help me with this question: Example: http://www.comitzlaw.com/personal-injury/car-accidents.html When I plug this URL into OSE, it only shows one linking page, www.comitzlaw.com/practice-areas.html, yet there is a link to this on every other page in the site. When I plug in a random competitors page, www.lesagelblaw.com/Personal-Injury-Overview/Car-Accidents.shtml, it does show all the internal pages linking to it. Since I'm not using a flash menu or javascript, any ideas as to why no internal links are showing up in OSE? Even when I plug in the main URL for the home page, it only shows 4 other internal pages linking to it, yet there is a link on every page. What am I doing wrong?

Why does open site explorer show me Chinese characters?
Hi there, When using open site explorer to check the anchor text for www.bookvictoriafalls.com I see Chinese characters as anchor text. However, when I do the same for www.bookvictoriafalls.com/ I see normal English anchor text. Coincidentally this domain has dropped from first page rankings to outside the top 50. Were do I find the old Link Scape report that shows Domain Juice passed?
It looks like they are retiring the old Link scape. Where do we find the report that showed the Domain Juice passed by each link? Is it in the advanced reports and we need to request and wait?
