How can a site not indexed on google still have 40+ Page Authority on OpenSiteExplorer?

Hey guys,
I was revisiting the backlinks to my site and found a few that were not indexed on Google anymore. I confirmed this by typing site:"SiteAddress" in google and it retuned 0 result. Yet when i searched the same site on OSE (OpenSiteExplorer) yielded me a PA of over 40.
I used to research sites on OSE to see if they are worth pursuing for a backlink but i am second guessing this because of this recent finding. Can someone please shed some light on this?

DA and PA only tells you about how many links a website have but for quality of website probably you have to manually look in to the link profile and analyze each website on basis of their quality and how they are linking back to the website.

I was using DA or PA stats to analyze if a site was worthy to pursue for a backlink. If you are saying that a site that has been de-indexed from the G man can still have high DA or PA then how do i go about finding out if this is a quality site in google's eye then.

The site is definatetely not no-indexed. I am worried that it may have been penalized by google though which is why i was wonder why it still had a decent PA.
It is the site: command that i tried and indeed it did not return any results. I could not fetch as google as it is not my site. It's just a site that i had an incoming backlink from.
And yes it is indexed in Bing.

Site No indexed in Google has nothing to do with DA or PA of the website as these are the parameters by SEOmoz which are purely based on the number of links a website have!
No index from Google doesn’t means website can’t have links coming from other websites.. so, if there are external links pointing to the website there will be a PA and DA of the website and page.

A few things to investigate:
Did you try the site: command? Your post says 'siteaddress:' - I don't know what that is.
What date did this occur?
Have you tried the Fetch as Goole tool in Google Webmaster tools?
Checked for crawl errors in GWT?
Submitted an XML sitemap to Webmaster Tools?
Is Bing indexing it?

What's my best strategy for Duplicate Content if only www pages are indexed?
The MOZ crawl report for my site shows duplicate content with both www and non-www pages on the site. (Only the www are indexed by Google, however.) Do I still need to use a 301 redirect - even if the non-www are not indexed? Is rel=canonical less preferable, as usual? Why is my comp still beating me??
Hey Friends, I have been doing some analyzing in opensiteexplorer and attached below is an image showing my url (5th position) and my competitors (1st position). Any ideas as to WHY they are still beating me in rankings? I'm sure there could be a number of reasons but the numbers are staggering. Grade F pages - all first in Google
Any anyone explain what value the Grade pages are if, as in my case, I have 9 Grade F pages of which 4 are in first position on Google, 1 is in second and the rest are 4th! I understand why SEOM might be flagging them as Grade F (keyword use in tags etc), but it seems it must be looking at the wrong clues if it still thinks that its recommendations are the most relevant to improving position. These are not obscure terms (Spy devices, electronic surveillance, spy systems, surveillance systems) for a UK site (www.spycatcheronline.co.uk) I appreciate that the points highlighted may need to be addressed, but clearly the pages/site are doing something right to come first - does this not devalue the whole Grade system on SEOM? Site Optimisation for ktichens!!
Hey Guys, I am about to begin to optimise this site www.stuartandersonkitchens.co.uk for some keywords such as edinburgh kitchens, quality kitchens edinburgh etc as he is based in edinburgh. I am also going to be doing some work behind the bones of the site optimisiing alt, meta data, micro data etc. Also I am thinking about creating a FB, Twitter, Youtube profile and possibly adding him to a few directories (DMOZ etc), some local & running a small adwords campaign using the freebie credits. I will be altering some of the content in order to have it more amicable to the engines. Is there any other advice anyone would like to give me, where I could improve in order to have him seen on the search engines. Be great to here your take on this. Thanks again, Craig

Can I base a SEO campaign on a specific MLS listing inteads of full broker web site?
I have been ask to do a SEO campaign for one MLS listing: house for sale in the rosedale area in Toronto, and I am having difficulty to target one specific MLS listing . Alexa Ranking Sites
I found these two sites giving my competitor link juice: http://www.webnamelist.com/alexa/Alexa_186.html http://www.list-of-domains.org/alexa/Alexa_185.html I have seen these sites before and I just dont get why they are authoritative. The funny thing is I did a search for my competitors link on the page and its not showing up, is this a problem in site explorer? Why is site explorer mentioning these sites as my competitions best links when these links do not exist on their site?

Page Rank is different from google search
I use the ranking tools to check each page of our site. I use the keyword flora grand and exact url http://www.florahospitality.com/dubai-flora-grand-hotel.aspx . It return page rank 1 in US, UAE, and UK region but when I try to search it in google it doesn't appear.
