Error 404, Wordpress adds the domain automaticly to the end of the pages, WHY?
-
Hello guys,
I'm using wordpress and the Yoast to help me improve my SEO.
Everything went well except for today because "Moz" found 404 errors when scrolling the website saying showing the domain of my website at the end of 12 url.
For example :
www.domain.com/service-1/www.domain.com www.domain.com/contact-page/**www.domain.com **Do you have any idea where does that come from ?
Thanks
Alex

At the bottom of the page at the left side of the screen you have a green link.
This link is pointing to http://www.comptavenir.fr/www.comptavenir.frYou should change this link from:
To the following:
Hope i helped. If i did please mark this as the correct answer

Yes I have google analtyics installed.
Thanks for your help.
I'm on google webmaster tools and they do find this error. They say they can't find :
http://www.comptavenir.fr/www.comptavenir.frIs it helpfull ?

Do you have Google Analytics installed?
If Google sees these 404 errors too you could look from which pages it finds these errors.
If you can find a page which links to http://domain.com/domain.com or something let me know and i'll inspect the page to see if i can find a problem there -
I did change the redirection 301 and put the things as you said.
But it does it even if I launch a new post, or a new page, it automaticly put the domain at the end.
Any ideas ?
Thanks a lot

Do you know where can I find this on Wordpress ?
Thanks a lot

Perhaps you did something to send people who end up on a 404 page back to the homepage and typed in 'www.domain.com' in the place where to want them to end up. You should type in '/' at these kind of plugins to go to the root domain.

Yep, I've seen this a lot.
My guess is somewhere on the site you linked in your site like this:
And you need to link it like this:
So you need to find all of those broken links and edit them to add the http://
(Note: if you use the broken links plugin, you should be able to do this fairly quickly.)

Cannot work out why a bunch of urls are giving a 404 error
I have used the Crawl Diagnostic reports to greatly reduce the number of 404 errors but there is a bunch of 16 urls that were all published on the same date and have the same referrer url but I cannot see the woood for trees as to what is causing the error. **The 404 error links have the structure:**http://www.domainname.com/category/thiscategory/page/thiscategory/this-is-a-post The referrer structure is: http://www.domainname.com/category/thiscategory/page/2/ Any suggestions as to how to unravel this would be appreciated.

Best practice for Landing page in Wordpress
Hi Mozers, has anyone experience in setting up landing pages with Wordpress? The problem I want to solve is the following: I work with a membership area like SEOmoz in which I have some bigger plugins running. If i make a landing page in the same installation like a custom post type/template or via another plugin like "Premise" all plugins will automatically load as well. That will harm my page loading time. Do you think, I should work maybe with Wordpress Multisites? Landing pages as a separate blog and the membership area as another blog? Appreciate any good idea! Thanks

Problems with changing the page title on Wordpress Site...
The website is http://www.masterpieceinteriors.co.uk/ I'm not sure why the homepage title is reading 'masterpieces' in Google but looks fine here. There seem to be 2 versions of the homepage coming up in google - you can see them both by searching 'masterpieceinteriors' and then 'masterpiece interiors'. Some help would be hugely appreciated!

Domain Authority and Page Rank concerns when using CNAME
In the event that a person uses a service like Blogger or a photo service like Photo Shelter, but use a CNAME to resolve example.blogspot.com or example.photoshelter.com to example.com, how does that affect Domain Authority and Page Rank in real world results, and how does it affect the user when/if they leave the service and establish their own site? For example: A client has a blog on Blogger called johndoephotography.blogspot.com but uses CNAME so what is shown is johndoephotography.com. The Domain Authority is quite high since he is really on Yahoo's domain. How does that affect SERP rankings? Is it ignored, since it is merely a sub-domain, or does the parent domain actually give a benefit? The second part: If John Doe decides to host his own WordPress blog, what happens to that domain authority? Has he lost it all?
