Hello,
Situation:
I made SEO at http://wo-men.ro with help of Moz, getting truth links, getting articles about shop, cause i have something interesting in presentation of product and that is 360 photography : http://wo-men.ro/barbati/huse-samsung-galaxy-note-2/husa-samsung-galaxy-note-2-nillkin-green.html . Keep in mind that on products on specific keywords that i want to be on good rank position, i have Grade A on MOZ.
This Shop is structured like this:
Home Page > Women / Men > category > productProblem:
First week i made changes, with Moz, getting A grade, i get high rank on every word i track. It was nice, ppl start visiting web, few conversions. Everything was nice, i had 90% of keywords in top 10 (first page).
Second week: i lost positions at 50% of keywords, getting words in top 50 (second/third page).
Third week: i lost 90% of keywords, getting words out of top 50.
It
s not ok, this is not a fluctuation, i asked last week here, if is it normal. But no, i grant you is not normal. How could i see what
s the problem?
Moz is not helping me right now in this situation. From Moz point of view everything is fine. How could i fix it?Other: i want to explain that on product page, the content is ORIGINAL, is not copied or translated. Even pictures are original, cause nobody have 360 photo.

Hello, ty again for reply.
Yep, i understand about links right now.
Patience is not my point... but i have to be patient.
Yes i already pay at Adwords ... for a beginner store i had 4 conversions in a single day. But ... traffic is 250 unique visitor MAX ! You have any advice to increase Traffic but keep conversion up ?
Facebook is UN-TARGETED , Facebook is 0 from my point of view. They enter .... they press like or not, .... and they leave. No conversions. Like they saw a picture .... :))) Facebook is not a good tool for making Right business. At last in Romania.
Twitter = 0, Romania is low on twitter
Pinterest = 0, Romania is it in east of Europe, it was a country under communist politics until 1990... most of people are not open mind. Like a study my clients are all 18 - 35 .... few clients over 40 years old. In Romania, Online Commerce is 3%, and Facebook users only 6 M, instead of 12 M at google.
Thank you again.

In regards link building it is still an important part of the mix, but it has to look natural and even if those links we are talking about are natural, they dont LOOK natural. The simple fact that you mention that you can contact the bloggers and ask for them to change the link text indicates they might not be 100% natural links if you see what I mean. If you can, I would try to reduce the number of links (less sitewides in blogroll, a lot less actually) mix up the anchor text with a very high percentage of branded terms (so domain name/company name) and if they are site wides look at making them no-follow. There is a lot of info on Q&A and blog posts here in regards natural/un-natural links, here for example: http://moz.com/blog/17-types-of-link-spam-to-avoid but search in the qa and you will get lots more info.
In regards what to do, I would say that in comparison with your competitor you have a way to go before your domain metrics will match theirs (even if they are doing similar type link building). So keep doing what you are doing in term of making the site user friendly, keep adding blog content and expanding product info (without excessive keyword stuffing). And be patient! A good video for ecommerce technical seo is here: http://moz.com/webinars/ecommerce-seo-fix-and-avoid-common-issues which might help onsite stuff.
In the meantime, the site look great, your conversion rate sounds ok for retail, so if you are not already I would be thinking about PPC campaigns which should convert well and also give some insight into real search phrases. Leverage your social media followers and try to engage them more. Make use of and try to build your email lists. The normal stuff in other words while you are waiting for your seo efforts to come into effect! Hope that helps!!

Hello,
My first text from meta from first page is "Cadouri ideale" = Ideal Gift . So you think this is wrong that may bloggers anchor text with the same anchor? That you want to explain me?
I think i understand. Number of domains = (or aproximate) with number of links and that with different anchors.
So as a part of problem i should contact bloggers to change anchors. But most of links, come from 2 blogs or 3, that add me as blogroll and i appear on all pages. It is relevant?
So link building is not good anymore or i understand wrong ?
Btw, this is my main competitor. https://ahrefs.com/labs/domain-comparison/wo-men.ro/borealy.ro
And what you think: Google page rank update will help me ?
Thank you.

Hi,
In regards the suspicious links, if you look at the ahrefs link I mention above you will see that you have gone from about 8,000 to 68000 links in the last 3 months or so after being flat before that for many months. Worse, of those links about 80% have the term caduri ideale (ideal gifts or something like that I think?). This does not look like normal link growth from bloggers etc. This looks like keyword targeted link building on site wide links (since the number of linking domains has gone up much much less than number of links). If the rankings/visits drop is only from google, it is during (or shortly after) an algo update and it is related to keywords you see in that ahrefs link in the referring anchor phrases then I think you have a good idea where some part of the problem may be.
-
Hello, thanks for reply. I really appreciate comments, cause many ideas = better .
Otherwise, Francisco and Denis, something is strange, in that period my target keywords had gone. But not in 22 May, from 29 May to 1 June. Now i have from google 30 visits / day. And at 3 days 1 client.
And Francisco the SOURCE that drop traffic is Google, i am not talking about other source.... only google. In Romania Bing is 1% and Google 99%.
Lynn i don`t get what is suspicious the all website have 3 month. I made campaigns with these 360 degree photo, ppl like it, bloggers write about it... it is normal to grow up in links right?
About MOZ grade, i want to say that Basic optimization is it good.
Again thank you for reply and hope i gave you more hits to help in a kind or other. And i am glad that you like 360 photos. I really appreciate.
Google page rank update will help me ?
Still, what should i dooooo?

Hi,
Agree with Dana that the moz on page grading tool is really not that relevant, and I would stress that it is probably even less relevant to non english sites. I have sites where it tells me no instances of xxx were found in the title, body etc... but it certainly is!
Agree also with Francisco and Dennis that you should check your analytics and see if a google update coincides with your rankings drops (and also that your site looks very nice!).
Open site explorer in this case is showing slightly dated link data, if you check out your link profile in ahrefs https://ahrefs.com/site-explorer/overview/subdomains/wo-men.ro it looks like there has been a big increase in links over the last 2-3 months and a lot of those are exact match of one sort or another. Might or might not be related to the exact drops you are looking at for products, but that link profile is very suspicious looking now and it would be a shame for a site that looks good and obviously has had a lot of work put into it to be undone by something like that.
-
if you see no fault then its probably the "new page ranking high and dropping all of the sudden" phenomenon lol which was explained
1. Check your drop, when it happened, if it's around may 21-22 and onwards, then look at your link profile (which is full of directory links) so Im not saying that it caused it, but it could've.
2. moz page grader is not your answer to onpage seo and actual rankings, it's just a way to quickly analyse the basics. You need to do more, especially on sites like yours.
your site looks cool though
-
Shanaki, check your Google Analytics. Google released an update called Penguin 2.0 around May 22nd. If you got slammed around that day, it was an algorithm update. You need to check your GA to see what sources decreased otherwise we can't help answer your questions. GA > Traffic Sources > Sources > Overview. Maybe it's only one of the sources that is bringing your site down, but you have to investigate there.

Why does a new page's ranking change over time?

Your 360 images are AWESOME.

Hey, thank for answer.
I am losing positions on google.ro (local google: Romania), i am not losing conversions, i am happy with conversions it`s around 2% - 3% cause of 360 presentation.
I am sure that i am not losing positions cause PageSpeed. Page Load Time: 2.27 Seconds International, local is under 1s. For local under 1 s, to open 36 photos and all, is perfect. I have hosting with SSD hard drives.
I am sure something else is the problem.
About UserTesting.com i think it is for US only, and is not relevant for getting RANK.
More than that: i thing on-page grade is very relevant. If you have F that mean on that keyword you get F you are not relevant in google. That`s for sure. Or your keyword competition is very low... The Moz on-page grade have a simple algorithm that is Vital for basic SEO...
-
Hi Shanaki,
I think most people here can really identify with your frustration. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I completely ignore the page grader in Moz's Pro tools. I have many pages that have F grades that are ranking really well. When I first started using Pro Tools I paid a little attention to the grades, but once I realized some of my top keywords were doing really well with the page grades of "D" or "F" I decided to just ignore the grades. What good is an "A" if you aren't ranking, and worse, aren't getting any traffic?
My suggestion would be to completely forget about the grade and take a fresh look at the page. Would you write any of it differently if you aren't thinking about Moz's grade?
You also might want to do a technical SEO audit of your site. Maybe there's some technical problem affecting you. Maybe check your pagespeed as part of that.
Last but not least, perhaps try some user testing. You can get three user tests done within hours of requesting them at UserTesting.com for under $100 total. I'm not sure how well they work for non-English sites, but if you can do a few user tests you might gain some insight into what's going on (i.e. if there are usability problems, etc).
Good luck!

What Should I Do About Duplicate Title Warning From Category Pages Of Store?
I know a lot of the MOZ warnings can be ignored, however, I'm trying to figure out of this one should be added to that list: my store has urls setup like this for categories: https://www.mysite.com/sweaters https://www.mysite.com/sweaters/page/2 The meta title is "Sweaters" for both pages. Is that bad practice? I don't think I can automatically change the meta title to to Sweaters Page 2 or even want to. or should I do that? Or just ignore these type of warnings?

How to measure the competition for online store ?
Hello , first I'm sorry about the beginner's questions , I looking for niche to open online store and try to find niche that there is no bery high competition. something that I can compete in this niche . My main question is how to measure the competition for online store? I mean when I do research on main keywords for the niche store. I see the overview and the SERP Analysis ,which parameters I see as a hard competition? -lets say I take the average of "Linking RDs To Root Domain" , which numbers are ok and no very high ? -I check all the page rank and see the average of first page , how I can if average of 5-6-7 is ok or hard competition? -the sane question is Page Authority , is there is some range that I can see hard competition? If you have some articles that can help me to learn and understand that world , or some place to start there I will be happy Thank you , Mark

Yahoo Store Beginner with "duplicate content" errors. Can I pay for support? $$$
Hi. I have a Yahoo store that seems to have many errors. We built the site for utility knowing NOTHING about SEO. We just started with MOZ and would love to PAY someone to help get us past the beginning stages. Is there someone familiar with the Yahoo! Store format that can charge us perhaps in hourly blocks to walk us through possible solutions to issues? One issue we are having... seems to be that our subsections which contain items that are the endpoints... I know of no way to label the sections anything but an "item". I'm wondering if this might be causing the "duplicate" error because a specific item is listed both in the section and on it's own page. please help! Thom 888-567-5194

SEO best practices and online store?
Hey guys, I'm just starting a company and had a few questions regarding how we should structure our online store. The store is currently selling skins for consoles, phones - and we have wall decals too, as well as fridge wraps. I was wondering if anyone had advice on the best structure of things? Should I, for instance, have a single "Xbox One Wrap" product page with multiple variations as an option? Or should I have individual product pages for each different style? I feel like putting all the weight on a single Xbox One Wrap page is great, but I also feel like having more content out there for each product probably isn't terrible either? Suggestions? The site is www.FapWrap.com so you can check it out - it's original photos we are taking of adult stars, but eventually will be for "Sexy" people in general. Heh.

How To Ques. Getting ranked on page one for a keyword when you compete with bigger websites/companies/stores
Can David Beat Goliath. I work with small businesses with top products that are up against big brands and their online presence. If I am working with them to create content that meets the needs of all their stakeholders/customers/prospects to generate revenue I wonder if keyword targeting with content can really pay off to get them page one, #1 position ranking. So I ask you this question? How do you create a story for a small online store that can get ranked on page one for a keyword when you compete with bigger websites (or sites with higher domain authority)? I don't need all the basics, I'm just looking for a key insight or tip that you have found or heard is working for a David to beat a Goliath (and hold their position rank once they get highly ranked). We are up against sites - for viable keywords -who have higher domain authority and in some cases more content or link backs. Also, I've notice in situations when I do get to page one and I'm in position 7 MOZ analytics show low to no traffic coming from it? Yikes, what do I do to improve that? These are top keywords.

Help to Increase Traffic for On-line Pet Store
Hi Guys, Recently opened a Pet Supply Business www.valuepetsupplies.co.uk and we have launched our web site just last week. We currently have around 1800 products but have literally 1,000'a more to be added but as with everything in life it all takes time and effort. We have the shop sitting on the Presta-Shop e-commerce platform and it is connected with FB (1350fans), Twiter, Pinterest and a blog. Currently we have circa 600 visitors each month but we obviously need far more than that to compete in this marketplace. I am going to try and use some of the tools on this site to see what insights I can ascertain. So I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of what do get done next, I have some ideas but I thought I would put this on the table to see what some of the real pro's suggestions would be. Criticism also is welcomed. Thanks for looking guys could do with all the help I can get right now. SnoopD
