I want to find out what all the report's correct definition and when I see improving or going down what does it mean for eg. Organic search report? Keywords? or non-paid keywords?
-
Hi Laurent,
These terms can have slightly different meanings depending on what report you are looking at, but most commonly these terms will be in reference to Google Analytics, so definitions for this report can be provided here. The organic search report in Google Analytics is to show the user what kind of traffic has come to website organically (which is to say, users who have visited the site by searching for a related query). Keywords are the search terms used to find websites, and the terms people use with their websites in order to attract relevant traffic. These keywords are naturally non-paid. Paid keywords are keywords with a high search volume and competition, utilized by Google Adwords to create advertisements which show in searches for these keywords. For each click these advertisements receive, the merchant will pay the advertiser (Google) a small amount for the prime location of the ad in relation to the search. It is always good to have a high amount of organic search traffic as it means Google is picking up your site easily and users are finding the site naturally. Paid keywords are good to use in higher volume searches where a site may have trouble ranking otherwise. For more information, the Google Analytics help page can guide you further.

You've posted this under analytics, and SEOmoz tools, so I'm not sure which reports you mean... keyword rankings? or traffic reports? etc...

SEO impact of redirecting high ranking mirror site to the main website
During SEO audit for a client I noticed that they had over a dozen duplicate websites that are carbon copies of the main website. This was done via CMS platform and DNS. One of the mirror sites has about 400 indexed pages and has Moz DA of 42 and 137k External Equity-Passing Links. Full metrics comparison is attached. I originally planned on doing rel="canonical" on the mirror site but the CMS vendor never even heard of it and is refusing to implement it in the header. My only other option is doing one to one 301 redirects. Since the mirror site ranks well, even competes with main domain for some positions on the 1st page of SERP, what will be the impact after the redirects? Is doing 301's still the best option? Thanks! SERPs ans SEO
I am trying to analyze my site to determine what we may be doing wrong as far as our site goes Ilike everyone else I suppose). In any event I have followed as much as I can from the Moz guideline and tools. We were ranking very well for quite some time and now..kaput. We have tried to make our site faster (using Google Page Speed ..the CDM for GOOGLE). We have also tried redoing out title and description tags to be more search and user friendly. Our site is very fast now...which is good. But we are still not seeing the rankings improvements that we had hoped for. We have built the site using WP and broke the template to make what we feel is an attractive site....used what we feel are the best plugins to capitalize....can anyone give us some feedback to let us know if we are just missing something here. We are RELEVANT to our industry...

SEO Crawl Report Images?
Does SEOMOZ crawl images in the report? Raven tools is showing me about 200 missing alt tags and title tags. I can not seem to find any of this information on the SEOMOZ report. Am I missing something?

Conflict in reported link data
I have a competitor in a campaign - the campaign report shows 181 linked domains BUT - the site explorer report shows only 15 linked domains. Which is correct? And if the site explorer is correct - how do we fix the campaign report? SEOmoz Dashboard Report: Crawl Diagnostic Summary
Hi there, I'm noticing that the total errors for our website has been going up and down drastically almost every other week. 4 weeks ago there were over 10,000 errors. 2 weeks ago there were barely 1,000 errors. Today I'm noticing it's back to over 12,000 errors. It says the majority of the errors are from duplicate page content & page title. We haven't made any changes to the titles or the content. Some insight and explanation for this would be much appreciated. Thanks, Gemma

SEO MOZ Timezone

The dates are all wrong in my reports ... **Organic traffic data ** Last Data Update: 04/16/2012 Crawl Diagnostics Last Crawl Completed: Apr. 20th, 2012 Next Crawl Starts: Apr. 25th, 2012 Keyword Rankings "Your keywords are updated weekly on Saturday. The last update was April 19th, 2012." Yet today is Friday the 20th 2012??? It seems like each segment of the information is updated on a differing date?

GWT data v SEO Moz data
I'm sure there's a simple explanation but I can't find it- Looking through the GWT avg position data v SEOMoz ranking data and Market Samurai data there is a large discrepancy. For one term that we hold #1, and have held for a month or two GWTis showing that the avg position is 180 (and down 30). Any reason you know of why the GWT avg position data would be so out of whack with our SERP's and other data? Thanks.

Discrepancies in PA and LRDs reported in different SEOmoz tools
I've noticed a difference in the reported PA and LRD numbers for URLs depending on whether you use Open Site Explorer, or look at the same metrics from within the rankings history (in your campaign set up). I've checked this for a few URLs and what I'm seeing is the reported scores for PA and LRDs is different 9 times out of ten. The PA is sometiomes higher on one report, lower on another, or vice versa. Same for LRDs. I thought it might be because one report was lagging behind and using old data, but that would only make sense if I was seeing an increase in reported LRDs, but it just as often shows a decrease ! Is this just a bug in the campaign>rankings history report or is there a reason for the discrepancies?
