I have double-checked the rel canonical is properly employed on our page but the On Page Grader says it's not working

What is wrong with how we are doing things?

Thank you all - I had attempted to default the canonical reference to http - however, a setting within Yoasts SEO plugin was forcing all canonical references to https and the logic evaded me. I've changed the setting and it reports fine on the On Page Grader now.

Ok, you are kind of misleading Google by this... canonical tag tells Google that where the original content is located. According to your signal it is location on your https version which is redirected back to http so in other words your original content is located to a destination which is relocated to some other URL....
All you have to do is to remove just an s from the canonical version and all will be fine!

You page http://www.solidconcepts.com/industries/aerospace-parts-manufacturing/ says the canonical version is the https version of the page : https://www.solidconcepts.com/industries/aerospace-parts-manufacturing/, but the https version does a 301 to the non https version, so you are sending mixed signals to google.

Could be because the canonical is to the "https://" version of the page instead of the "http://" version. Was this done intentionally to avoid duplicate content issues between the two? Could be the page grader is having trouble distinguishing one from the other. Just a thought.

Why would someone go to same 404 page over and over?
Good morning, I've been using the redirection plugin on my wordpress site and noticed i have multiple IP addresses going to the same folder on my site - like "mydomain.com/folder-name/". The "folder-name" is obviously not anything remotely like any folder or file name I have on my domain - so it's obviously spammy in nature. And, there are multiple IP addresses going to this same URL address every 3 hours on the dot, so it's appears automated. Is this something to be concerned about? Should I "do" anything? What's the best way to eliminate "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors?
My company website is built on WordPress. It receives very few crawl errors, but it do regularly receive a few (typically 1-2 per crawl) "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors through Moz. Based on my research, my understand is that my server is essentially telling Moz to cool it with the requests. That means it could be doing the same for search engines' bots and even visitors, right? This creates two questions for me, which I would greatly appreciate your help with: Are "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors harmful for my SEO? I imagine the answer is "yes" because Moz flags them as high priority issues in my crawl report. What can I do to eliminate "429 : Received HTTP status 429" errors? What web page and domain analysis / error checking / testing tools do you use for competitor analysis? sites like webpagetest
Just wondering what everyone is using, I am looking to get as much insight and detail as I can on websites that are not currently being monitored by me... i.e. potential clients. I use tools like pagespeed, webpagetest, loadimpact and open site explorer, google adwords, ispionage, alexa, semrush and well, looking for more. I really just want to rip a website to the tiniest pieces possible in an organized and coherent manner... is there anything out there? I have tried several other's which i no longer use (compete, 4q, woopra, nuestar, to name a few), I am not sure if I know exactly what i want, i just want more.... damn the human condition. lol

How to check Page Authority in bulk?
