My homepage is ranking great but my blog posts have dissappeared
-
It all happened a few weeks after Penguin 2.0 was released so I'm not sure if it is in any way related. My home page robt.info currently ranks really well for relevant key words like kids author. This has lead me to believe that 2.0 didn't negatively effect my site. I'm not in the business of anything remotely black hat related and purely focus on content.
But, if you search for individual blog posts (which are extremely unique), they are nowhere to be seen.
For example, one post I did was a story titled 'Fairy Floss For Brains'.
Up until the second week of June I ranked extremely well for these really weird and unique blog posts. But now, they don't rank very well at all. Not even in top 100.
They are indexed and in my sitemap.
Can anyone please help me resolve this issue? Is there something I have done wrong that anyone can see?
EDIT: I was able to utilise feedback from my question to resolve my issue. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP GUYS!

Thank you for taking the time!
There is a robots.txt (Just updated it then :)) and I am on Yoast...
I just noticed many of the pages fall away from the front page. That was my main concern. Fingers crossed they will crawl back up.

Checked in your link profile and it seems fine to me! The arrangement of anchor text on links is natural and links are coming from almost all natural ways... didn’t really found any obvious paid or any other low quality tactics to grab links!
There is no roobts.txt file available try to add that plus check what SEO plugin are you using... low quality plug-ins can also cause this problem! I would recommend you to please update your SEO Plugin to Yoast!
Also I have searched few more keywords for different posts and they seems to rank on the first page below the fold so i think you should also focuses on some quality link building in order to get bran first page rankings above the fold.

Thank you so much for this..I believe it is currently at 0 because google has only made one update since I started the site in Feb 2013. It's currently at a 4 according to opensite explorer...
Just changed the robots.txt thanks for the heads up. didn't notice that
Maybe these changes will make a diff... fingers crossed. Any other suggestions?

I spent a few moments looking at the site and source. I am not sure yet why you have gone to PR0 for all of your blog pages.
A few things that I saw while checking things out (some of it is probably opinion over fact as I am not sure the overall effects)
Your robots.txt is setup to have all of your WP-Admin and WP-Includes indexed in Google. I would set both of these folders to not be included. (You may already have it done in metas etc. but I would put this in my robots.txt
Your robots.txt also needs to declare http://robt.info/sitemap.xml as your sitemap. It is currently pointing to an attracta sitemap that points to another attracta sitemap and then declares your website to have 9 pages in total. I am sure you have your sitemap submitted with Google but it is still a much better practice to have the sitemap link in robots.txt point at your actual sitemap.
You may know something I do not but in your meta tag I do not think you need the /posts/ after your publisher google+ meta link. This link does not actually appear on the site and used only by the search engine to identify the link between your other online works, Google+ and your site.
I saw these things and thought I would mention them. I do not think they are the cause of your issues however. Do you have a Google Analytics and Webmasters account setup? Do they offer any insight as to why you went to PR0 and it seems like Google may not have very many links for your site. This may just be the datacenter I was looking at though.
I will follow this post and try to be of more help. To be honest I now, like you, want to know why.

Blog farm?
One of our clients has recently been approached by a competitor regarding a Link building service and SEO and as part of this they have supplied example sites that they "contact" to post articles that contain a link or links back to our client site. When we researched these sites we found that the sites did in fact have a good Domain Authority but the content was extremley dubious and the links were often forced into the articles in unnatural context. We also found that the Author page of these sites often had a similar URLs but the display names were changed. On the face of it these article sites look like a good idea and to an untrained eye they could appear good value. In fact they could be passing good value and may in fact work. I have found around 150 sites that i think share simialr traits but i gave up and I am sure there are many more. My opinion is that this looks like a large farm of blogs that are utilising similar templates and author set up. I am just looking for any experience/thoughts on how to look at this. My feeling is that i dont want to be in anyway recommending this as a service yet my client may think that this is good value. Any experiences shared would be great. thanks in advance for any comments.

Building Page Rank
I have a situation where there is a product category page with multiple products listed linking to individual product pages. The pages been around some time with no change. The strange thing is although page rank is reasonable on the category page it doesn't seem to be passing any rank to the individual product pages. Any ideas to swing the roundabouts on this? Thanks

Is buying blog reviews a good idea?
Hi there, I was wondering if it's worth investing on buying blog reviews for me site, by using sites like buyblogreviews.com? I've been making sure the blog sites are relevant and has good rankings, and not too many outgoing links. I also make sure they write about something interesting related to my site, that should get people's attention and gain more traffic. Any thoughts? Thanks.

How to Outsource Guest Blog Posts?
We have operated a small ecommerce company for over 10 years in the home and garden industry. Our product niche is small and there is not a lot of "community" around it as it is just not a social product, yet the product is interesting. Our internal time is very limited and therefore we have hired external help over the years to do our SEO. As you all know, this is very challenging to do affordably and not get spammers. As part of our SEO strategy we would like to do some guest blog posts but do not have the internal time to research and build the relationships needed. We basically have no internal writing skills and have always hired writers to do our blog postings. My question is if you had to hire someone to do guest blog posts how would you go about finding the right person to use? Of course an excellent writer would be required. What would you expect to pay for this type of service? Would you do it hourly or "pay per live post". Any ideas on where to find this type of person? Thanks.

Link Building for a New Blog
We are setting up a new blog and I was wondering what is the best way to build good quality links for a new website? I have been researching this quite a bit on the forums and a lot of people talk about writing good content which I agree with however no one will find that content if we are not ranking in Google for our keywords. From what I have read the following is what I should be doing Directory's Creating Link-bait (Info-graphics) PR Releases or Getting News Sites to link to us I have heard a lot of mention of using Articles sites like ezinearticles but I have also read that Post Panda that they dont have as much link juice as they once had and also I don't think that for a Blog that we should be using it as well but maybe I am wrong? Would appreciate some peoples suggestions

Do you think it's a good idea to try to find synergy between clients for blog posts/citations/links, or should you keep clients away from each other?
Say you have for example three (in this case) clients, and: Client A sells red widgets Client B is a doctor Client C sellls blue widgets With some research, you find that: Red widgets (A) can make the process of blue widget creation (C) even more effective. Red widgets (A) can protect you from harmful things that doctors (B) are qualified to recommend that you stay away from. Furthermore, there are things that doctors (B) recommend that you do in order to maximize the benefits of red widgets (A) Blue widgets (C) carry with them certain potential health risks, which according to doctors (B) can be minimized using the following means Sometimes blue widgets (C) can be used to effectively repair red widget (A) factories ...and so forth. Sure you're really writing these articles to generate links and exchange authority, and frankly you started with "how can I find synergy between these clients?" rather than a with a great article subject that needed a citation which luckily happened to be another client, but the citations are legitimate and the clients are qualified to speak on the subjects where their expertise and interests overlap. Would you consider going ahead with this? Does anyone have any experience doing it? I could see potential pitfalls if clients were to interact with each other, but keeping yourself as the intermediary might well work and overall it seems like a decent way to grab low-hanging fruit as they say. What do you guys think?
