Duplicate Page and Title Content
-
We applied the tag to our website but Moz still picked up an error in Duplicate Page Content and Duplicate Title for http://www.corpsyn.com/ and http://www.corpsyn.com/index.html after the crawl was completed yesterday.
From the forum last week, we tried using the rel=”canonical” tag to tell the Moz crawler that the two pages are the same on purpose but it didn't work.
Below is how the code looks on our site up until the rel=”canonical” tag is added:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><title>Group Employee Health Benefits | National Insurance Broker</title>
css/style.css" type="text/css" />
css/style_index.css" type="text/css" />
”http://www.corpsyn.com” />Is there something else we can try?
Thanks

thanks for confirming that

Thanks mate.

Hey Everyone,
Thank you for the great answers! I just wanted confirm we do take canonical tags into heavy consideration when validating duplicate pages.
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
-
I think they do.
Our scenario:
http://domain.com and http://domain.com/index both load with the same content, with the proper canonical tag, and we are not getting any duplicate content warning (or titles and desc's).
-
Best to ask a staff this , but I am pretty sure Moz does not take canonical into account while scanning for duplicate titles.
-
Agreed.
Issue: the quotation marks!
FIX: set them right: " . I think that what you used is called "Double prime".
Hope that helps!
-
Your rel canonical is put up wrongly
Its been set up as - http://www.corpsyn.com/”http://www.corpsyn.com”
which is incorrect
Visit this url:- view-source:http://www.corpsyn.com/
Click on stylesheet url - it will land you correctly. Click on canonical url - it will land you on wrong page

Solved Duplicate content error affecting 142 pages
Hello,
Product Support | | EISMarketing
Recently I noticed a new duplicate error notification.
This page: https://www.earley.com/insights/internet-things-and-product-data
is flagged as 'duplicate content' with 142 affected pages.
Here's an example of one of the affected pages:
https://www.earley.com/insights/how-ontologies-drive-digital-transformation
This is not an ecommerce site. The affected pages are blog posts. We are pretty prolific writers and over the years we have produced nearly 300 articles. We are a consulting firm and the articles are about our area of expertise and cover a wide range of topics within that space.
I just don't understand why this would be flagged as duplicate or what I'm supposed to do with this information!
Help!
Thanks!

Duplicate Content on a page that isn't duplicate?
So, I've been working on a site for a while, and they recently had one of their blog posts marked as "duplicate content" on Moz Pro: https://ashlandbreastpumps.com/blog/breast-milk-storage-guidelines/ Reviewing this post, there's nothing here to suggest that it should be considered duplicate. Link is marked canonical, there are no weird domain shenanigans to cause confusion, the content is distinct, and there's a lot of content there that prevents it from being overcome by coding white noise (So "more content" wouldn't be a solution here). So I'm trying to figure out why this particular post was flagged. Did Moz Pro make a mistake?

Multiple campaigns for similar pages
Hello, Moz family! I am fairly new to the SEO game, so this question may be irrelevant. Here is a little context to begin; the business I am serving has an overview page (see below), which I have started a campaign for. On the overview page, there are 10 different links that can take the user to a specific page. It is hard to gather rankings for these keywords because there are so many different pages we link to. I guess what I am asking is, is the only way to gauge keywords across multiple pages is to start multiple campaigns? I hope this makes sense, but if I need to clarify more please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Number of pages crawled = 1; Why?
Since November, we've been trying to figure out why, when I select Crawl Diagnostics, my number of pages crawled is only 1. In mid-november, we changed our URL. That is, we went from www.example.com/home-page/ to www.example.com/new-home-page/. My first assumption was that I needed to re-create my Moz profile. That didn't fix it. The only crawl error we get is the no rel="cannonical" found -- but it's there. We find it on every page, including the home page. Our content shows up in search. Moz bar shows us info for every page. I just don't know what else to check. Everything else in my dashboard seems to look as expected. Specifically, I've turned to Crawl Diagnostics to find 4XX errors on our site. Typically we find one or two per week. Sometimes 0. Sometimes 4 or more. But it's been 0 since November. I highly doubt we've arrived at perfection. Any thoughts?

Received emails about new ranking, crawl and on page reports, but nothing new shows.
Yesterday morning I had emails about updated crawl, ranking and on page reports being available however nothing in my dashboard is newer than 2/21. I waited through yesterday to see if things changed, logged in and out etc but nothing new has shown up. Any ideas on why that is the case?

Duplicate Content Report: Duplicate URLs being crawled with "++" at the end
Hi, In our Moz report over the past few weeks I've noticed some duplicate URLs appearing like the following: Original (valid) URL: http://www.paperstone.co.uk/cat_553-616_Office-Pins-Clips-and-Bands.aspx?filter_colour=Green Duplicate URL: http://www.paperstone.co.uk/cat_553-616_Office-Pins-Clips-and-Bands.aspx?filter_colour=Green**++** These aren't appearing in Webmaster Tools, or in a Screaming Frog crawl of our site so I'm wondering if this is a bug with the Moz crawler? I realise that it could be resolved using a canonical reference, or performing a 301 from the duplicate to the canonical URL but I'd like to find out what's causing it and whether anyone else was experiencing the same problem. Thanks, George
