Hi There
we are trying to get http://www.stainless-steel-fabricators.net/ on to page 1 in the UK for keyword 'stainless steel fabricators'. according to reports most of the top 10 websites hardly have any back links or any basic optimisation (title tag, met description). our pages have A grade optimisation and loads of linking domains. stuck as to know what else to do
anyone help?
Bob

yeah funnily enough i was thinking it was too much. thanks for the advice. really appreciated
-
Hey Jonathan thanks for your speedy response. I will get on with the ironing. Thanks so much!

Also, if you look at your link profile a lot of your links have that exact match anchor text "stainless steel fabricators"; in fact 176 out of your 270 links have it. I do see that that is the name of the company, but perhaps Google might think that is unnatural linking.

Hi Bob,
There could be many factors as to why the website is not ranking for that keyword. However, I can give you a few pointers that may help:
- Remove capitalisation of meta title (far too spammy)
- Create more engaging onpage content, with keyword variations mentioned throughout.
- Meta description is far too long (Currently 211 characters, should be a max of 155)
- Many of your backlinks are from non relevant poor quality websites.
- Page load speeds are poor due to amount of images
- You have two H1 tags (The images is being counted)
I would look to get some of these issues ironed out to see if this would make any improvement.

Wrong domain name showing in the SERP
I work with Axos Bank, and the domain name in the SERP started showing axos-services.com a couple of weeks ago. *As a test, search for [axos bank] in Google. You may need to click on "Search instead for axos bank" under "Showing results for axis bank" which is a whole separate issue we want to resolve. They do own axos-services.com, and it redirects to axosbank.com (along with a number of other domains). The SERP has always shown axosbank.com until recently, but the redirect has been in place for some time. Any idea why and how to prompt Google to show the correct domain? Thanks, all!

Wrong page title in Google
Hi there, A while ago we took over the domain www.hoesjes.nl and forwarded it to our website www.telefoonhoesjesxl.nl. If you perform a search for the keyword 'hoesjes' in Google then we (www.telefoonhoesjesxl.nl) show up on an organic number 1 position. The problem is that the page title isn't correct. Google shows the page title of the website hoesjes.nl we took over and (correctly?) redirected to our domain www.telefoonhoesjesxl.nl. Does anybody have any idea how to get rid of this wrong page title in Google?

Wrong canonical URL was specified. How to refresh the index now?
Wrong canonical URL was applied to thousands of pages of a client website, pointing them all to a single non-existing URL. Now Google has de-indexed most of those pages. We have fixed the problem now, but do we get Search engines crawl those pages again and start showing in Search results? I understand that a slow recovery is possible if we don't do anything. Was wondering if we can fast track the recovery... Any pointers? Thanks

Technical SEO | | atakala
I've asked many question today but forgive me :D.
I just want to know is there anything wrong with this diagram http://mygreatname.com/google-pagerank/images/google-pagerank-algorithm-03.gif
Because page 1 has 3 outgoing links but you divided 2 and page 2 has 2 outgoing links but you divided only 1. Or do I miss something?
Thank you. google-pagerank-algorithm-03.gif0 -

My website ranking fell dawn on 12 may 2013 and Webmaster Tools say we have low-quality pages. After Webmaster Tools masage we update our page content and use Robots.txt file to which pages have low-quality content. Now Google Webmaster Tools, Alexa Audit and MOZ Crawl Diagnostics says we have no duplicate page content, no duplicate page title, no missing meta description tag so this tools say we have no problem. What I doing wrong when trying to search for links from external websites to my website
This is just the little frustrating question nothing important but I’m sure somebody will know the answer. In the white board Friday this week Rand suggested at one point that when you’re searching for results links to your website if you put a - followed by site followed by your url like –site:yourwebsite.com you get the results of pages with links on other websites but excluding your own webpages but it just doesn’t work I get no results just an error message, any idea why? If I remove the - I get tons of results but there on my own webpages……….
