How do you run ranks now for clients that aren't in your local area now that Google customizes search results based on location?
What tool/service have you found that gives accurate rank results?
To me it seems like there is no guaranteed global #1position any more, or is this the situation for only certain types of searches?
Likewise how can anyone tool give a global accurate rank score?

There are third party tools (such as https://www.whitespark.ca/local-rank-tracker). I have never used them--so don't know how accurate they are. You are right, there is no guarantee on first position ever.

Does Google really care about cheaters?
In analysing my competitors website I have discovered that they have over 600 fake pages that appear to have been created by some sort of internal search engine software, all pages are exactly alike except for the keyword and the words "no results found" on every page. I have discovered, elsewhere, that their duplicate content is abnormally high, and that their pages are stuffed with keywords.(in on page grader) I come out top in every section in Moz open site explorer, except internal links and total links. Yet they sit at number 1, while my site is number 2, I believe that copying their antics would surely make me fall foul of Google, and certainly would never risk it. but with the keyword only getting 30 searches a month, are google bothered about them doing this, should I resign myself to not being number 1 and is there anyone on this Forum who believes that I should use the same tactics, to get above them.

Are seomoz ranking in jeopardy?
A few weeks ago Raventools announced that they would no longer be able to provide tools based on the adwords API, then withdrew that. Rand commented on a thread here discussing that and made similar noises. Today Raventools made an announcement as SERP tracking with wording that sounded a lot like it had more than a little influence from Google. Would I be really paranoid to be wondering whether the Rankings tools in seomoz could be at risk?

Local Rankings Drop?
G'morning! I got a disturbing report this morning that showed seven of our big keywords drop from high on the first page to not in the top 50. After further research I have found that we are now in Google's local cluster, but no longer on the traditional organic results. My question is this, has Google changed something that doesn't allow results in the local cluster AND in the traditional organic listings? I'm assuming that this is the case because we're doing smart SEO and have built these rankings up nicely over time, but then just fell off the face of the earth. I have attached a snapshot of Moz's Ranking History for a few of the keywords, as I assume this will help explain the story. (We're in green). Any insight would be much appreciated. Google updated their algorithm. How up to date is OpenSiteExplorer's Domain and Page authority?
Hi guys, as we all know, Google Panda update is here and it changed how they rank inbound links and the linkers domain and page authority. But when I look at OpenSiteExplorer's results, I cant see a difference in the page and domain authority. Why is that?

How do you guys/gals define a 'row?'
I have a question about calls to the API and how these are measured. I noticed that the URL Metrics calls allow a batch of multiple URLs. We're in a position where we need link data for multiple websites; can we request a single row of data with link information for multiple URLs, or do we need to request a unique row for each URL?

Why do I see different ranking results for Bing and Yahoo?
If Bing is running the Yahoo search results then it seems to me the ranks for both Bing and Yahoo should be the same. So why are my SEOmoz ranking reports showing different positions for each?
