Competitors using bots for AdWords ?
-
I was having a discussion with a SEO manager on a LinkedIn group about page speed (she pretends that page speed is not taken into account by Google for SERPs at all and claims that all of what Matt Cutts says is BS) ; and she explained that she is using bots to click on her client's competitors AdWords and "kill their daily budget"
So my question is, if you run/manage AdWords campaigns, have you ever met noticed such a behaviour, past the few usual click fraud rate ? What is your average fraud rate ?
-
It depends on the industry i have seen 30% click fraud - google tends to credit back the money but it could max out a daily budget. -You can also have google to a special audit to see if any strange click patterns are happening.
-
Wow. That's quite an audacious thing to admit on LinkedIn... I've only seen one campaign that I suspected was the target of click fraud, and that had about 15% suspicious clicks rate. In my other campaigns I honestly haven't seen anything above 2 or 3%.

Google Adwords GEO Targeting Via Checkin
Hi There, I have done a fair bit of searching for the answer to my question but to no avail, maybe it's not possible. With Google AdWords is it possible to target check-ins to premises. So say someone visits a place or checks-in, they get to a see an Ad. I can't see how it would be possible but maybe they have Googled the business, then they walk in and Google shows the ad based on IP address. So for example. people who visited the Rose & Crown in York could be shown hangover cures the next day, whilst they are laid-up in bed? Cheers Mozzers. Neil

Adword competition between exact match and related broad match
If I have two company A and B. Company A: bid on key word exact [Nike and Jordan] Company B: bid on broad match Jordan shoesks Considering that broad match use related words I noted that google display both ads if I search Nike and Jordam (shoes is related with Nike). My question is: bid of B is competing with bid of A? therefore CPC of A increase because of B? Tks

Whoa! Newsletter Subscription Form in Adwords Ad??? How can I do this?
I just googled the term "Mobile Lead Gen" and found this ad: http://cl.ly/260X3f0t1z1j1R1m212d Sweet! It has the subscription form signup directly within the Google Ad. Looks like Chrome even pre-populated my email address in the form. Does anyone know how to set this up within Adwords? I've never seen that option before. wXOGJ

Adwords "Display Network" tab buggy?
Anyone else notice the new Display Network tab in Google Adwords is buggier than a cheap NY motel bed? Everytime I load it in firefox I end up twiddling my thumbs for several minutes before hard closing the program. Very frustrating morning... In case anyone else is feeling this pain, I just tried it in opera and it finally loaded ok.

Your Google AdWords account has been permanently suspended for repeated violation of AdWords or Landing Page and Site policies in this or a related account.
My client nor I received any warning. We even had a google adwords team optimize the account and my rep does not yet know the reason for the ban. Not sure if its related but their google organic rankings dropped significantly at the same time. https://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164786 Any advice here? Do these Questions get indexed by google? I will ask my client if I can disclose the domain. Is there any way around a permanent ban? They were spending 50K per month. Is this enough to have any clout?
