SEO and AddThis implementation question
-
We recently implemented AddThis social sharing on our Website. I am seeing an undesirable side-effect. In Firefox and Chrome browsers, some kind of tracking snippet appears to be appending to our URLs. This is not happening in IE (or if it is it isn't visible). I am concerned about how these URLs look in the address bar to our visitors and I'm also worried about potential duplicate content issues arising when a spider crawls the site.
It appears to only be an issue with our product detail pages. The category pages all seem fine. [I am sure this is because social sharing button are only installed on the product pages].
Here is an example: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/williams-sound-personal-pa-377#.UFnvkVG-7Aw
This URL should be: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/williams-sound-personal-pa-377
Is there a workaround for this problem?
Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution?
Thanks!

Thanks so much Brian. I knew there had to be a way. I appreciate your quick answer.

You can disable the click tracking with this code:
var addthis_config = {
data_track_clickback: false
}http://www.addthis.com/help/clickbacks
But I don't think the appended tag will do you any harm as is. It's just a tracking code for you to be able to track results in the AddThis dashboard.

Blog Redirects & SEO
We are switching to a new blog platform. Will a 301 permanent redirect of our blog URL affect our established social proof numbers from an SEO perspective? Will Google still have those social proof numbers (Facebook shares/likes, Tweets, etc. for the blog as a whole and for each individual blog post) and rank us higher or will all of those all disappear?

G+ places/local - Company Categories and Pages question
I have two questions about google places/local and Personal/Company Pages Regarding Local and the categories section. Should you be using strictly the predefined categories they have? or should you be creating your own? Also say you're a car repair shop for instance. If you should be creating your own such as 'truck repair' should the city be in there as well 'Truck Repair New York/New York Truck Repair(keyword or location first?)' When it comes to company and personal g+ places, i understand doing the rel author and its bennefits but what is the correct way about tagging this? For instance in Wordpress, Studiopress has a section in the profile for the user g+ profile that will rel author it, and Yaost SEO says 'if you have a business page, insert it here and link your personal page as a contributor to the business page' Should we be filling in both sections? or does this cause a conflict? Adding these items is very easy to do, but would rather do it right the first time then circle back and have to correct everything. Any feedback/input is appreciated. Thanks,

Which is better for Wordpress multisite SEO? Subdomains or subdirectories
Hi, I've always used subdomains when setting up a WordPress Multisite + Buddypress website. But which is better for SEO? Now I'm thinking this may not be a "one size fits all" websites decision: Case 1: The subsite blog owners need/want/pay/ to advertise their own business using their subsite. Subdomains are perfect because they can SEO their own site seperate from other client sites, yet reap benefits from the home buddpress site SEO. Case 2: The subsite blogs are for hobbyists so they are not promoting their own site with SEO, at least they don't need to. However, using subsites subdirectories will enhance the content and SEO for the main Buddypress site by treating them all as content of the main site. I would appreciate hearing from those with more expertise. Regards, Larry .

Google+ SEO value
Hello, We created a google+ page for our website and we would like to know what's best for SEO purposes. We've put +1 buttons on our website and when you use them it give a +1 to our website's url. Some other websites on the other hand make the button give a +1 to their website's page on Google + like this for instance: https://plus.google.com/u/0/113493854651753327245/posts So basically the number of +1s on the Google+ page increases. Which one is best to have my website rank higher for its keywords? Thanks for your help 🙂

Do links in Paper.li twitter round-ups help my SEO?
My twitter feed is picked up in the daily roundups like Paper.li. Do these links count towards my SEO effort or are they just empty. Clearly they spread my content so that great, just wondered if the links pass juice to the site.
