Thank you for answering my question.

A hundred percent agree.
That's exactly why I was asking why he wanted them placed there?

allyunit,
Yes the page is indexed, but you may not be asking the right question. Your question may be why isn't the link/page showing up in your back link explorer tool (Open Site Explorer, Majestic, GWT, etc).
Most back link tools are not designed to show you every single link to every single page on the web. As you get down to the lower quality pages on the web, it takes greater and greater crawler resources to reach them all and document the links on them. Since the value of links on these lower quality pages is often almost zero, there is not much use in showing them in your back link tool or even knowing that you have them.
Essentially, a link in a profile that may not have been used for years is likely a valueless link, in terms of helping a site rank higher in search and for that reason, it may not be found or presented by OSE or other back link tools.

Spammy signature links will not help you and they may well hurt you. If Google is ignoring them, that is a good thing.

Competing for a specific keyword beyond on-page factors
Hello, I am trying to rank better for 'keyword X', a critical query that I'm outside the top 50 for, though we grade out at an A via Moz's on-page grader. One of our main competitors ranks #1 for this keyword, despite not using 'keyword X' once in their meta title, body content, or image tags. My assumption is that the volume and quality of backlinks to the competitor's site is driving their high ranking. If this is the case, how can I identify backlinking opportunities to compete better? Are there other factors I'm overlooking here? Thanks

Has anyone seen a recent drop in Page Authority?
We have seen a sizeable drop in Page Authority for three of our key category pages over the last one week. The total number of linking root domains has increased for all the three pages. We have disavowed a few spammy links but we doubt that would cause a drop in page authority. The domain authority is unchanged. Is there any way we could figure out the cause of the drop? Has anyone else also noticed a drop in page authority for their pages? Does Google drop links from page rank N/A sources?
Hi Everyone,
Link Building | | AMA-DataSet
I've started doing some link analysis on one of my site that has over nearly 800 links in total (which I got from the webmaster tools downloading the latest links). When I go on to Google and use the "link:www.mysite.com" directive it will only display 12 links. Does this mean Google is only counting 12 links from the link profile? Iv checked the freshness of some the links it wasn't displaying within Google to check they hadn't all expired. Links from march 2013 still don't appear. This sites link profile has been untouched for at least a year now and is full of directories many of which have a page rank of N/A hence my question. (I'm surprised it hasn't been hit by penguin!) Thanks in advance.0 -
How long does it take to get links indexed?
How long does it take Google Webmaster tools on average to detect links to my website? What about OSE? My site is fairly new (launched in January) and I've done some guest blogging -- I would think that some links from 3-4 weeks ago would be showing up by now. Am I just being impatient?

Why my page is not in top 50 already?
I started building links about a month ago for a new, 48% difficulty (according to Keyword analysis) keyword. The on-site optimisation is OK I think, the URL is an A grade (with maximum points, only 1-2 low importance factors missing). I trust my team I work with as they already ranked my site for several keywords in the top 5 positions (only manual linkbuilding). I do not expect top 10 results, but my page did not show up even in the top 50. Furthermore, there are a lot of tiny and weak pages in the top 50. I started campaigns for some other keywords at the same time with this and those are already around 15-20. So is there anything I should check? I am worried I am doing something wrong.

What % Page Metrics & Social, What % Links?
It seems that a lot of the focus of SEOs, especially whitehat SEOs like SEOMoz and Distilled has shifted a lot more towards improving page metrics (bounce, return rate, etc) and social metrics. I'm curious - And of course, I'm just asking for guesses - But what percent of ranking do you think is page metrics, social metrics and other non-link based metrics and what percent do you think are link based metrics?

PPC Landing pages and SEO landing pages query
We do a fair amount of work on PPC and because of this a lot of our PPC landing pages also do quite well in SEO. We are thinking that the landing pages do well because they get a lot of traffic from PPC and therefore, maybe google can index and take note of these pages quicker? The pages that usually shoot right up the rankings are new pages used for long tailed keywords. So I have a few questions: Does the traffic from PPC actually have any effect on SEO rankings? If we were to create a page that was to act solely as an SEO landing page, would google take note if there was no traffic? Would simply linking from our main site to the landing page be enough to give it a bit of authority, in which we can build upon? Thanks in advance.

Are 36 links from one site to nested pages better than one link to the root domain?
I have a Driving School website www.1stclassdriving.co.uk. The site is structured geographically with 36 area pages, one

page per area post code and one page per Driving Instructor. I am trying to develop links and have found a site (da91 pa

wish. Is it best to just create one link to the root page or
should I create 36 individual links to each area page? - which is most valuable?0
