Ranking Factor - Privacy Policy
-
Hello there,
Do you think Google looks at privacy policies as a ranking factor especially when websites use analytics that record a user's entire session?
Obviously a small factor like this would only have a minor impact on website performance but I am curious to know if it's actually in the algorithm.

Agree totally with Gerd. If they were a ranking factor, many sites could potentially be penalized for duplicate content as many of them are boilerplated. Toss this into google to see the amount of dupes:
Like most website operators, company collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. company purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how company visitors use its website. From time to time, company may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Not the bots, but if your site undergoes a manual review, "trustworthy signals" such as existence of company contact details, privacy policy, terms and conditions and any security seals will certainly provide more credibility.
I don't thank the content of any policies will have any relevance (it's impossible for reviewers to know legal constructs across every country in the world).

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? Blocking Standard pages with Robots.txt (t&c's, shipping policy, pricing & privacy policies etc)
Hi I've just had best practice site migration completed for my old e-commerce store into a Shopify environment and I see in GSC that it's reporting my standard pages as blocked by robots.txt, such as these below examples. Surely I don't want these blocked ? is that likely due to my migrators or s defaults setting with Shopify does anyone know? : t&c's shipping policy pricing policy privacy policy etc So in summary: Shall I unblock these? What caused it Shopify default settings or more likely my migration team? All Best Dan

Does Lightbox Gallery Clicks Count Positively Toward Page Rank?
When a user clicks through a lightbox gallery, are these counted as a click through for page rank? I am using WonderPlugin Grid Gallery on multiple pages with multiple galleries. I do not want these clicks to be wasted. Please advise. Regards, Clever Name SEO www.clevernameseo.com

Why is my Domain Authority dropping from 52 to 46 but my Keyword ranking has never been higher?
At the start of August my Domain Authority was 52 but it has fallen to 46 over the course of 8 weeks. At first this was credited to the smaller index that SEOMOZ has taken and when this was certainly in line with our rivals results as well who all suffered a drop. When the index issue was fixed we did see an improvement, back up to 51 at the start of September, pretty much in line with all of our rivals. However our Domain Authority has dropped again and this time it is in complete isolation, none of our rivals have suffered anything like a 3 point drop. Our SEO has never been better with 65% of our keywords ranking in the top 3 and 86% ranking in the top 10. Im wondering what is causing this rapid drop in Domain Authority and what affect, if any, it was have on our future keyword rankings. Thanks, Emmet

Woes in organic ranking... Post Penguin issue?
Hello all, First post here. Site:http://www.symbolphoto.com I'd done a ton of work to get my SEO where it needs to be, however, after looking at my traffic post April 15-22nd, it's gone completely downhill. I don't rank organically, which i'd like for one single term 'b*ston wedding photographer'. What am i missing? I'm assuming Penguin may be a part of this, but i haven't participated in any link schemes... am i being penalized and if so, is it evident why? Help is much appreciated! replace * with o.

Keeping my rank on SERPs
I recently ranked on yahoo, #4 for my keyword! It has taken 2 months and finally, out of the blue, there I am. This is my first time actually attempting an SEO campaign. At first I was listed for my keyword, then i started dropping after a few days. Then I made a new post, included those keywords, and I got back up to rank #4 again (for the new post). Why is this happening? Do I have to make a new post every 4-5 days to keep myself listed on the yahoo first page serps?

Analytics, Traffic and Rankings. Something is wrong, can you answer it? ;-)
So I've been monitoring analytics to see where our clients are ranking for terms that have brought visitors to the site over the last month to find that the website isnt ranking in the top 100 for that keyword. What are your thoughts on this? Why do you think this could happen? One of the keywords has brough over 700 visitors in the last month yet is not in the top 100 for this term. I've also looked Google Webmaster Tools and have found that the exact same term hasn't had 700 impressions let alone 700 click throughs! Weird! Cheers, Sean
