High DA, PA and A grade at page level not ranking in SERP - why?
-
I ran a full keyword ranking report against my competitors. My site clearly tops all KPIs with highest DA, PA, mT/mR etc. My page also get's an A for page otimisation, but is ranking lower than sites with an F. There have been no manual actions and I am at a loss to explain why the page isn't ranking. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

High DA, PA and A grade at page level not ranking in SERP - why?
The most common reason is a Panda, Penguin or some other problem.. or you are looking at local search where these metrics don't work well.

Is it the "Mind Body Spirit" site? I wont mention the domain incase your keeping it secret?
If so the homepage has very little content and there is no internal linking on all the huge amounts of content you have. Also I took some snippets of some articles and found that content was indexed on another site which ranked above you and is dated a year older than your content. This would be a serious issue of content duplication. This would give the overall quality of your site a Panda Issue and cause you to rank poorly.
Excuse me if I have found the wrong site, happy to help if you post the url or msg me privately.

It's odd you'd be getting good DA etc. numbers yet ranking poorly.
I'd recommend taking a look at the 2014 ranking factors report Moz puts out, and start going down the list of items outside of what you listed.
Site speed is a major one.
Something or many things may pop out. I'd personally also check to make sure all your pages are getting crawled correctly. It sounds like they are being crawled because your website does show up in the SERPs, but perhaps there are some broken redirects or something that is causing you not to get the full value of the website you've built.

You see Google Algorithms are not simple at all. There are around 500+ signals that Google consider in order to rank a website in search engines. You might have a better DA and PA you have be doing a better on-page optimization but there are always other factors like:
- Page load time
- Quality of links in the link profile
- Content on the website
- Tactics used to get links
And more…
I believe the best idea is not to compare but compete. Get your content redone, get more quality natural links and more.
I am actually trying to give you a quick idea of how big Google’s canvas is!
Just my 2 cents!!

SEO impact of redirecting high ranking mirror site to the main website
During SEO audit for a client I noticed that they had over a dozen duplicate websites that are carbon copies of the main website. This was done via CMS platform and DNS. One of the mirror sites has about 400 indexed pages and has Moz DA of 42 and 137k External Equity-Passing Links. Full metrics comparison is attached. I originally planned on doing rel="canonical" on the mirror site but the CMS vendor never even heard of it and is refusing to implement it in the header. My only other option is doing one to one 301 redirects. Since the mirror site ranks well, even competes with main domain for some positions on the 1st page of SERP, what will be the impact after the redirects? Is doing 301's still the best option? Thanks! Local Rankings Drop?
G'morning! I got a disturbing report this morning that showed seven of our big keywords drop from high on the first page to not in the top 50. After further research I have found that we are now in Google's local cluster, but no longer on the traditional organic results. My question is this, has Google changed something that doesn't allow results in the local cluster AND in the traditional organic listings? I'm assuming that this is the case because we're doing smart SEO and have built these rankings up nicely over time, but then just fell off the face of the earth. I have attached a snapshot of Moz's Ranking History for a few of the keywords, as I assume this will help explain the story. (We're in green). Any insight would be much appreciated. OSE Social Signals Affect PA/DA?
I've looked through the Open Site Explorer documentation and can't find the answer so am posting here... I noticed a web page I work on showing a PA 30 but OSE is showing 0 links from 0 root domains. It is a page that has no internal links to it and no external links to it (that I know of) but has stumbles, tweets, and Diggs. Are these social factors the reason it has a PA of more than 0 or 1? If so, is there a link to documentation that shows how OSE handles social signals? Thanks, Evan
