Google Analytics

Looking at a client's analytics - one page doesn't seem to record 'average time on page' data (it just displays 0.00 despite it receiving traffic) This isn't an issue for the rest of the website's pages. Any idea?

thanks for any help!

Surprisingly, it does not matter how long people stay on the page. If it is a bounce, it will be recorded as zero time on site in Google Analytics, even if the person is on the page for an extended amount of time. [Clicky's code will ping their servers while a visitor sits on a single page, for a different view of visitor behavior...] And I love Avinash Kaushik's blog--always something worth reading!

The coding seems to look correct. The bounce rate being 100% sounds like a good assumption. However, if people are staying on the page it just might not be long enough for the code to track it.

Hi,
Probably that page is having 100% bounce rate. This blog post may help you http://www.kaushik.net/avinash/standard-metrics-revisited-time-on-page-and-time-on-site/

In Google Analytics, what is the correct format for excluding traffic from single IP address?
In the past, when we've setup a filter to exclude a single IP address, we just entered the IP address normally. For example, 64.68.82.164. However, I was researching how to exclude a range of IP addresses and found out that I might be using the wrong format to filter a single IP address. Is it supposed to be 64.68.82.164 or 64.68.82.164? Will it still work if it was entered without the escape characters? Thanks in advance Moz community for your assistance!

Hello I have a question about my site account. On 2014, during a week, my ID tracking of Google Analytics was removed of the site, in this period the volume of users and sessions is lower than the other weeks. Universal Analytics & Google Tag Manager - Track URLs that include hashes
Does anyone have any experience tracking URLs that include hashes (#) using Universal Analytics and Google Tag Manager? Can it be done using GTM's container for UA, using the "more settings" options? Or building another tag to work with the GTM UA container? The fallback I'm considering is implementing the UA code in GTM for every page as Custom HTML with the "ga('send', 'pageview', location.pathname + location.search + location.hash);" solution, rather than GTM's specialized UA tag. I'm not yet sure what problems may arise from that, if any. Thanks in advance.

Analytics/Google Keyword comparison
Hi I'm trying to establish a methodology to best show the gap between potential and realised organic keyword traffic. To obtain potential keyword traffic I'm using the Google Adwords keyword tool to derive local monthly search volumes for exact keyword matches. However, I'm confused as to which is the best way of getting a comparable metric from Google Analytics (GA). I was using custom reports and the 'organic searches' metric. However, this provides different values to a standard report selecting non-paid search in the default advanced segments. What is the best report/metric in GA to use for both organic and paid search volumes that would be comparable to the Google Adwords keyword tool. Also, I'm having problems getting my kids to eat their greens, any advice! 😉 Thanks Neil
