How to Track Button Clicks as Events in Universal Analytic using New Interface of GTM? Also is there anything code we have to do on website also to track buttons?

You do not need to code anything, using tag manager let's you skip the coding so you only have to add the container.
Link tracking was meant for external links, but you can set-it up to do some internal links as well.
What you are describing sounds more like "In-Page Analytics" or some sort of heat mapping which is available with other software like Crazy Egg or Clicktale or others.

you mean i do not need to code anything on website? Only above steps will track all click of my website? that is if some one clicks on category, then Tab button of description or navigation or drop down menu or any social media link right?

In the new Google Tag Manager:
- Create a new tag under "Google Analytics"
- Choose "Universal Analytics"
- Choose "Click"
- Choose either "All Clicks" or "Some Clicks" depending on if you want to track all pages on your site or only some pages
- Name your event and choose the type (internal or external)
- Create tag
Make sure there is a sufficient delay put on clicks, this will give time for the tag to fire before the next page is loaded. Once your tag container is put live on the site then it should automatically start tracking clicks.

Ok, I'm looking into how to set up conversion tracking for our website, and frankly, I'm totally confused. In looking at Google documentation, I'm not sure if I need to use Tag manager, throw some code into the site with jQuery, or sacrifice a goat. Tracking time spent on a section of a website in Google Analytics
Hi, I've been asked by a client to track time spent or number of pages visited on a specific section of their website using Google Analytics but can't see how to do this. For example, they have a "golf" section within their site and want to measure how many people either visit 5 page or more within the golf section or spend at least 6 minutes browsing the various golf section pages. Can anyone advise how if this can be done, and if so, how I go about it. Thanks

Having Issue with Site Search in Analytics
Hi Mozzers, We launched a website in October 2012 and have added in the settings(Google analytics) of that profile "Do Track Site Search" since we have a search box on the website. The site search report worked for 10 days and it was over(from end of december till beginning of January 2013). Since then I have been trying to understand this issue. I have added all the query search terms possible, but still not showing any signs of life. At this point I am not sure what to do? Some Help would be appreciated! 301 Redirect tracking
Hi All, I have a 301 redirect tracking issue. I have a domain, say www.123.co.uk and I have that domain 301 redirecting to www.abc.co.uk. Looking in analytics, I do not see any referral traffic sources for the redirect i.e. I do not see www.123.co.uk as a referral (and I know it does sent traffic). My question is - how can I implement a solution that will show referral traffic from www.123.co.uk to www.abc.co.uk as a referal in analytics? Hope that makes sense?

Google Analytics-Unique visitors?
Does organic search data show unique visitors or all visits? For example, if someone ( a single person) visits my site multiple times after searching the same keyword phrase, does that show in my analytics data as 1 hit from that keyword, or all hits? Thanks!

Goal tracking in Google Analytics
Hi folks I read from various sources that if you setup goals in Google Analytics each of these goals can only be fulfilled once per visit. Also some sources suggesting that only one goal from each goal group can be fulfilled per visit. On our site we have a goal for external links since this provides value to partners. Some users do open an external link in a new tab, then come back to the main site. Any further goal completions would then not get tracked. Since we apply a result based payment model for our work this means we are literally loosing money. Anyone has official info from Google on this? Can it be configured? How long is a visit? Using Regex for Goals in Google Analytics
I’ve got a website with 20 different forms; and I’d like to track all 20 form completions with one Goal in Google Analytics. The completion-page URLs follow the pattern below (the website uses Drupal CMS) Form One: www.acme.com/node/2990/done?sid=651 Form Two: www.acme.com /node/2991/done?sid=785 Form Three: www.acme.com /node/2992/done?sid=1021 Form Four: www.acme.com /node/2993/done?sid=459 I believe that there is a way I can use regex so Google Analytics will track if any of these completion URLs appears. Looking for guidance how to format the regex statement.

Cross Domain Goal Tracking
I am trying to set up conversion tracking on a new website. The traffic will be landing on example.com, but the final step of the transaction takes place on app.example.com. This is the first time I have ever done something like this and Google's documentation does not have a lot of details about how to do this in GA. Does the tracking code need to be installed on example.com and app.example.com? when setting up the goal page does it need to be /landing-page/thank-you or app.example.com/landing-page/thank-you is this well documented in google's help finals and i am just calling it the wrong thing?
