Are 1x Event pages considered thin content? Should they be archived or redirected?

Since past event pages will become stale after the event, should they be keep alive and archived with only a link from a couple of places (for instance the main event page and html sitemap).
Or should they be "retired" and redirected to the main event page if they are really no longer needed?
They would probably be considered thin content because they won't have much traffic and will have very few links pointing to them. Right?

Keep them or remove them, don't redirect them unless they have external links, you want to keep things simple,
if you do remove them. make sure you remove all links pointing to them from your own site, you don't want broken links.

You may have already gotten your answer from previous responses, but if you haven't: what sorts of events do you have pages for? Is it possible to have one URL (since you mention the main event page) which changes content based on what is coming up next? This may make the process easier.

If it's really for temporary events that have a limited life you could use the unavailable-after metatag - which indicates until which date the event should remain in the index. If it's about recurring events - I would do like Egol says.

If these events are recurring, like once per year. Then I would make a permanent page for them.
If that event is featured on other websites then I would make sure that the next upcoming event is always on the page and always reflected in the title tag. People will search for it with the year.... "2015 Spring Widget Dealer's Convention" The bigger the event the more important this is.
I attend a couple of events regularly and I search for them a few times each year. I can't remember the URL of their website so I just google the name of the event. I want to mark next year's event on my calendar, I want to see what they have on the preliminary schedule, I want see a final schedule, I need a map, I am looking for deals on lodging. Event sites can get multiple visits from attendees each year. Lots of websites have info on this event but only one of them does a great job. I remember the URL when I see it in the SERPs. It is also usually the only URL that has the current year in the title tag. Other webmasters doing update their title tags promptly or don't include the year. That's a mistake because google suggest shows a year.
A friend of mine maintains a massive event calendar with all of the events in this industry listed in chronological order on a huge LONG page. He gets tons of traffic because he is the only person who puts this work into it. Lots of people know his site because of this calendar. Lots of websites link to it. I have an industry news blog and link to his events page every time I see that he has updated it (about six times per year). I have a robot monitoring it Lots of people click from my blog to his page every time I list it. Events pages can be valuable if you do a great job on them.

It might depend on how large the event is. For really large scale things (sporting events, annual conferences, etc.) it makes more sense for there to be an archive of some sorts. With more iterative events that are collectively focused on topical awareness, I'd be more inclined to redirect those page sot which ever even in the series is most current.

Will more comprehensive content on product pages help improve ranking?
We're working to improve the ranking of one of our product landing pages. The page that currently ranks #1 has a very simple, short layout with the main keyword many times on the page with otherwise very little text. One thought we had was to make a more comprehensive page including more info on the features and benefits of the product. The thought being that a longer form page would be more valuable and potentially look better to Google if the other SEO pieces are on par. Does that make sense to do? Or would it be better to keep the product page simple and make some more related content on our blog linking back to that landing page? Thanks in advance to any help you can provide!

Redirect Plugin: Redirecting or Rewriting?
Hey everybody! It's been a while since off the boards! I am reworking a site and I have been looking into their Redirection Plugin. I personally tend to lean towards just using the .htaccess because, well, why not. However, when looking deeper into the plugin I found myself a little confused with their redirection wording. RewriteRule ^/products/landing-page-october-2015/$ /products/special-education-news-october-2015/ [R=301,L] Is that the same thing as a classic Redirect 301?

Thin Content to Quality Content
How should i modify content from thin to high quality content. Somehow i realized that my pages where targetted keywords didn't had the keyword density lost a massive ranking after the last update whereas all pages which had the keyword density are ranking good. But my concern is all pages which are ranking good had all the keyword in a single statement like. Get ABC pens, ABC pencils, ABC colors, etc. at the end of a 300 word content describing ABC. Whereas the pages which dropped the rankings had a single keyword repeated just twice in a 500 word article. Can this be the reason for a massive drop. Should i add the single statement like the one which is there on pages ranking good? Is it good to add just a single line once the page is indexed or do i need to get a fresh content once again along with a sentence of keyword i mentioned above?

Will redirecting poor traffic web pages increase web presence
A number of pages on my site have low traffic metrics. I intend to redirect poor performing pages to the most appropriate page with high traffic. Example

Is 301 redirecting your index page to the root '/' safe to do or do you end up in an endless loop?
Hi I need to tidy up my home page a little, I have some links to our index.html page but I just want them to go to the root '/' so I thought I could 301 redirect it. However is this safe to do? I'm getting duplicate page notifications in my analytic reportings tools about the home page and need a quick way to fix this issue. Many thanks in advance David

How to conduct catch 301 redirects & have the separate 301 redirects for the key pages
Hi, We've currently done a site migration mapping and 301 redirecting only the sites key pages. However two GWT (Google Webmaster Tools) is picking a massive amount of 404 areas and there has been some drop in rankings. I want to mitigate the site from further decline, and hence thought about doing a catch 301 - that is 301 redirecting the remaining pages found on the old site back to the home page, with the future aim of going through each URL one by one to redirect them to the page which is most relevant. Two questions, (1) can I do a catch 301 and if so what is the process and requirements that I have to give to the developer? (2) How do you reduce the number of increasing 404 errors from a site, despite doing 301 redirects and updating links on external linking sites. Note: The server is apache and the site is hosted on Wordpress platform. Regards, Vahe

Indexation of content from internal pages (registration) by Google
Hello, we are having quite a big amount of content on internal pages which can only be accessed as a registered member. What are the different options the get this content indexed by Google? In certain cases we might be able to show a preview to visitors. In other cases this is not possible for legal reasons. Somebody told me that there is an option to send the content of pages directly to google for indexation. Unfortunately he couldn't give me more details. I only know that this possible for URLs (sitemap). Is there really a possibility to do this for the entire content of a page without giving google access to crawl this page? Thanks Ben

SEOMoz mistaking image pages as duplicate content
I'm getting duplicate content errors, but it's for pages with high-res images on them. Each page has a different, high-res image on it. But SEOMoz keeps telling me it's duplicate content, even though the images are different (and named different). Is this something I can ignore or will Google see it the same way too?
