Is SEM rush accurate enough to validate it's price?
-
I have been doing manual keyword research for some time now, but I am looking for something that can dig deep. I used to use the SEMrush API when i was a raven tools subscriber and it was great for identifying organic rankings for domains. Has anyone had a good experience with this software strictly for keyword research?
-
Oh and is there a tool you DO use that you would recommend?
-
Thanks Daniel. This is the kind of thing I need to know. What about in terms of organic keyword research for non-ppc?
-
I used to use SEMrush for PPC proposals. I would use their data to estimate the cost of a decent PPC campaign for clients. Boy was it worthless. I just checked right now on one of my highest searched keywords. It shows a volume that is 75% of what my search volume was in April. It shows an average CPC of $4.63. My average position is 2.4, quality score is a 5 an my average cpc was $0.99 with a CTR of 2.64%. So my data is totally normal, and my cpc was $0.99. I don't know how they get $4.63. Holiday pricing isn't even above $1.00 per click. So I noticed this trend for literally everything. So if you're doing keyword research for PPC purposes, you can pass on SEMrush.

How can I find out the exact match visitors for a competitor's website?
Hi, I'm trying to find a way of finding out the estimated number of exact match visitors that a competitor's website has got. I know that SEO agencies can find this out, and there must be a way of doing this for myself. Thanks

My competitor's sneaky link building technique
Hi, I can't figure out how my competitor seems to fit four invisible nav menus into her home page. If you view her page source and type "/about" for example, it shows five examples of the text linking to her "about" page. But four of them can't be located on the web page (they are hidden). How does she do this? She basically has four duplicate links that are counted for SEO but can't be seen on the webpage. address: http:// camilla peffer.com. au/ Any ideas?

Hello, For bobweikel.com I'm going to work on getting some natural backlinks by making a better article than http://www.medicinenet.com/weight_loss/article.htm even though they're 30 times more of an authority than me. If you think this is a good idea, how do you recommend I top this thing? I'm just brainstorming

Can anyone suggest how they're #1
Hi, I'm really struggling to see how these guys are number one on google (from the UK) when searching for "picture framers york" Their SEOMOZ on page grading for the term is an F, so on site SEO is minimal if any. Their backlinks are almost nonexistant, take a look at the competition report (attached) through market samurai. Everything I thought I understand about SEO is currently being turned on its head because with the information available, they shouldn't be there. I thought maybe its the proximity to 'York' center, but they aren't that close to be honest. So any advice greatly appreciated as to why they are #1 so I know what it is I can do as an SEO. Thanks, Dave samurai.png
