People Promising mass link building in one day and some other unrealistic things, Is it possible? Expert Advice Required
-
Hi Experts!!
"Newbie Question", excuse me if it is something silly
There are some experts on the internet(other than here) who are making big promises, about link building, thousands of back links in few days. They have executed thousands of orders and have excellent feedback. Back to the basics, SEO books say we shall build back links at slow and natural pace. I want to know whether such mass link building is possible in white hat SEO world? If yes, are they beneficial for SEO?
Typical offers

Hi there!!
Yes, you are right, slow and steady is the best way.
Thank you for taking time to answer my question.
Cheers!

White hat SEO means you are not triggering Google guidelines and you must never manipulate with google search. White hat means you are helping Google in serving users quality product or content. There is no immediate effect when you run White Hat SEO but soon you get the results and they last long whereas Black Hat Methods cause a website die in a month or two + look into the industry you are in, analyze competitors' backlinks and you will see the way you should go to achieve good results

You are right Dirk!!!
Thank you for your answer!!

I guess that most of these people just heard that SEO is all about link building. As the price is extremely low, most of these customers will probably reason they don't have much to loose and a lot to gain if they try the offer. They are probably completely unaware of things like Penguin & manual penalties.
An easy road to success is what a lot of people are looking for, the same reason why crash diets & get rich schemes are very popular, even if they seem to good to be true...
rgds,
Dirk

Hi Dirk!!
Thank you for the answer. It helps me to follow the right track and not run after the illusions.
And It gives me high confidence that just one question outranked their established offers. I Will put positive efforts towards any website and would love to see the same results there.
There are a lot like this, they can be found on Fiverr.com, just a search with "SEO" is required. The surprising factor is some of them have typically executed 35XXX and 17XXX, I am unable to find a reason why so many people did not realize this if a newbie like me could do that at first glance.
Thank you again for your expert advice.
**Thank you too Matt!! **
Regards

Just one small thing - I googled the phrases in the offers you mentioned. Your question which was posted 45 minutes ago on Moz is already outranking all the offers promoting these services. Guess these powerful links, link wheels & backlink pyramids aren't as powerful as advertised...
-
If it's sounds to good to be true, it's probably not true...
Honestly - stay away from these kind of offers. You'll probably end up with thousands of low quality links to your site which could temporarily boost your site, but before you know it you'll be hit by a Google Penguin penalty. Buying links is and remains a violation of Google webmaster guidelines.
Quote:"Any links intended to manipulate PageRank or a site's ranking in Google search results may be considered part of a link scheme and a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. This includes any behavior that manipulates links to your site or outgoing links from your site."

Page Rank, Domain Rank, Link Building....Oh my!
Hi Everyone, So I am looking into a couple of sites that we can use for press release distribution. Naturally, I am looking for sites that will improve our SEO (sites that have a high domain authority). I guess I am just trying to wrap my head around the whole domain/page authority and how it effects our SEO. So for example, I am looking at prlog.org. They have an overall domain authority of 91...sweet! Is this all I should be looking at when I am looking to place a press release, which will include targeted links using appropriate anchor text? If I drill down even further to the actual section that the press release will live on, which will be the security section of the site, the page authority is a 49. Is this what I should be looking at? Do I have to drill down even further and look at the page rank for the actual URL that my press release will actually live on? I am assuming since it will be a totally new page that the page authority will be very low. Is this correct? Should I be looking at a combination of the two? The page authority of 49 is pretty low but the domain authority is very high. What does this mean for my SEO and my links? In a nutshell I need to know what I should be looking at for SEO purposes, is it domain authority, is it page authority of the section the site will live on or is it the actual page that my press release lives on. Is it a combination? What would you do in this situation? Also, could you give me a little more insight into when a low domain/page authority can actually hurt you. What the threshold where you get no link juice or are actually penalized? Do you have any insight in the domain/page domain number that is considered not worth it? Thanks all! Pat

Millions of links from one domain - unnatural?
I have a question: One of the sites that I work for has 3.1 million site-wide links (according to WM Tools) from one domain pointing to us. This domain has a Domain Authority of 93. We have (according to OSE) more than 3, 500 Domains linking to us. We have a Domain Authority of 88. In other words, one of those 3,500 domains is highly reputable, and is sending us 3.1 million site-wide links. This represents 60% of all the links pointing to us (again according to WMTools). Is this something to be worried about? Or delighted about? Would you consider it an unnatural link profile?

Link Building: Feel like ive hit a wall
Hi, I have been doing SEO on my business website for about 4 years now. And it ranks #1-3 for my desired keywords and i always try to add new backlinks and keep uploading new content to a blog on the site as this is where nearly 100% of our customers come from so its important to me to rank high for the keywords related to my industry. However the last few months a competitor has taken over me for a certain keyword, i have researched their backlinks and site and from what i can see they have less content, and less backlinks, onpage seo isnt that great, and alot of the backlinks arent even related where all mine are in the same industry and i always research my backlinks to make sure that site has good backlinks also (i currently have about 48 root domain and 12,000 page backlinks for various pages of my website). The only thing they have over me is domain age, their domain is about 10 years old. I am also trying to target another hard to get keyword that im currently on Page 3 for, im sure over time i will rise to the top and its something i have to keep working at however i feel i wont get to where i want to be because im running out of ideas on where to get backlinks. After 4 years of building backlinks i feel like i have hit a brick wall, i started out by directory submission, then just links from other related sites, then i did a few article submissions and then i started finding it hard to get links so i started buying related links, however i seem to just keep buying and buying because im running out of ideas and it feels easier just to buy them, the only problem is its getting expensive and im now probably spending $80/month on paid backlinks! Although considering im not paying an SEO company its still a lot cheaper! I have gotten to the point where im researching sites that arent even in my industry (however still automotive related) and getting links on sites their on which was going really well, but now even that feels like its coming to an end and im back to submitting to directories their on. So other then directories, paid links, articles etc. what else could i be doing to build quality backlinks? I stopped doing articles because they were so time consuming and i felt like i was only getting backlinks from them that were worthless and held no authority. I have about 4 blogs (all on different IPs) would it be worth blogging on them and building content and dropping links from those to mine or is it not worth the effort when i could just submit articles to article websites?
