HTTP Status no data to report
-
In my Moz top pages report, why is there "no data" in the HTTP Status column? Is this an indication of something missing or an error?
-
Yes, you are right, Ryan. It is a great practice to cross check reported. Before posting here, I did so and the errors are only indicated by the Moz tool. My assumption is that the Moz tool is more accurate and tests deeper.
That is why I hoped to understand and fix whatever issue would cause Moz to report "no data". Seems like it remains a mystery.

Hi Jeannie!
It sounds like you've already gotten some help on this (thanks Ryan!), but could you send a mail to help@moz.com with the sites you're seeing these errors for so that we can take a look at this?
Thank you!
Kevin

Well 200 is what you want to see... I'd cross check some of those 'no data' pages with another tool to make sure it's not an issue with the site, but the interaction between the Moz tool and your site. Cheers!

Yes, I have checked the page speed both in Google's PageSpeed and GTmetrics. Depending on the page and browser, we fit between and "A" and a "B". (YSlow, as usually, rates them a bit lower),
Moz results:

You're welcome Jeannie. Can you provide a sample of the errors you've been experiencing? It maybe something like status code 500 from your server getting overloaded during a crawl. Another thing you can check is Google's PageSpeed tool to see if there are any slow load time issues present. If you're in the red with Google's tool that could be an issue: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
Also check Google Search Console for any history of errors. Cheers!

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your response. I have run several tools, such as Screaming Frog and only have a few HTTP Status errors, and those few don't necessarily line up with the Moz report.
It was nice to learn of http://httpstatus.io - a new tool for me.
As I am always working hard to win in SERP's - if this error reporting in Moz can clue me to new improvements that would be great.
-
Hi Jeannie. You'll want to check the links being reported in a tool that specifically displays HTTP status such as: http://httpstatus.io This will tell you if those pages are having specific problems or if it's an error within the Moz tool. The result you should be getting will be 200 OK. Cheers!

Moz bot transforms special characters into fake 404 Pages in Reports
I have a lot of 404 links in my exported Moz Pro reports which are not actually Not Found pages when checking the Referring URL. For example: Referring URL:
Link Explorer | | ProspectoGroup
https://ofertolino.ro/oferte/barn%C3%A4ngen 404:
https://ofertolino.ro/barn%C3%83%C2%A4ngen What happens is that the referring URL leads to a redirect (https://ofertolino.ro/barn%C3%A4ngen) but it never leads to the specified 404 Page (which has even a more weird symbol in the URL when it is url decoded) in the report. What could be the issue here and is the Moz bot responsible for such misbehaviour?0 -

Where can I see the list of the new backlinks reported?
In my dashboard I see a +875 in external links. Now they are 1,130. This sounds worrying rother than good news! I'd like to get an explaination but how can I see where these links come from? And when? How can be explained a steep increase in the link count from the last index? Also, a minor question, where can I find the increase percentage? I am able to see only the absolute count.

No incoming links from DMOZ in my report
Hi, I am confused, after so much years of waiting, some months ago I got listed in the DMOZ http://www.dmoz.org/World/Español/Tiempo_libre/Turismo/Blogs/ (My blog is Charcotrip) The problem is that when I check the incoming list in the MOZ report, the DMOZ link is totally absent, I don't get it. Does anyone knows why can this happening? (is not that my blog get recently listed, now it has been there for a while). Thanks!

Weekly and other data not available in moz tools
Dear All, Since last few days we are not getting updated results in moz tools. We get following warnings in the pages. "Hello! Weekly data for some campaigns is a bit behind schedule. Don't worry; it's processing now and will be available soon. Check out http://health.moz.com for the latest status on all of our tools. And thanks for your patience!" How much time it will take to show us the current results, so that we can properly work on it. Right now we are not able to measure any changes affected our site. Thanks, Om

Reports not up-to-date and competitive analysis
Hello everyone, I’d like to ask you a question regarding how to use Moz for competition analysis: I am assessing what the competition is doing and, at this stage, I was looking at how they built their internal link structure. However, the data I get from Moz at times are not consistent with what I see on the actual sites. For example, I was analyzing one specific page looking at its internal links, and the report was showing a much smaller number of linking pages than there actually are and this is because the index might not have picked up the changes yet, which makes sense. The thing is: how can I make a reliable analysis when the data I get may be outdated and a couple of months old? Thanks 🙂

Why does it take so long to generate CSV reports from OSE?
My CSV reports are taking so long to generate, that I'm unable to deliver analysis that I need to deliver today. How can it take so long to create a CSV document for a report that took seconds to generate on screen? How can I justify my subscription for a product that doesn't deliver? I do have to justify it. I feel so let down.
